1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and of the sons who were born to them after the great flood.	1 Ось потомки синів Ноя: Сима, Хама та Яфета, в яких народилися сини по потопі.
2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.	2 Сини Яфета: Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Яван, Тувал, Мешех та Тірас.
3 And then the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.	3 Сини ж Гомера: Ашканаз, Ріфат і Тогарма.
4 And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.	4 Сини ж Явана: Еліша, Таршіш, Кіттім та Доданім.
5 The islands of the Gentiles were divided by these into their regions, each one according to his tongue, and their families in their nations.	5 Від них вийшли народи, що розселились по островах та по краях, кожен за своєю мовою, за своїми племенами, у своїх народах.
6 And the Sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.	6 Сини ж Хама: Кут, Міцраїм, Пут і Ханаан.
7 And the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dadan.	7 А сини Куша: Сева, Хавіла, Севта, Раема та Савтеха. Сини ж Раеми: Шева та Дадан.
8 And then Cush conceived Nimrod; he began to be powerful on the earth.	8 Куш зродив Німрода, який був першим могутнім на землі.
9 And he was an able hunter before the Lord. From this, a proverb came forth: ‘Just like Nimrod, an able hunter before the Lord.’	9 Він був великий ловець перед Господом, тому й кажуть: Неначе Німрод, великий ловець перед Господом!
10 And so, the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Chalanne, in the land of Shinar.	10 Початки його царства були: Вавилон, Єрех, Аккад і Кальне в Шінеар-краю.
11 From that land, Assur came forth, and he built Nineveh, and the streets of the city, and Calah,	11 З цього краю вийшов Ашшур і збудував Ніневію, Реховот-Ір, Калаг,
12 and also Resen, between Nineveh and Calah. This is a great city.	12 та Ресен, що між Ніневіею і Калагом; а було це велике місто.
13 And truly, Mizraim conceived Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, Naphtuhim,	13 Міцраїм зродив лудіїв, анаміїв, легавіїв, нафтухіїв,
14 and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, from whom came forth the Philistines and the Caphtorim.	14 патрусіїв, каслухіїв, від яких пішли філістії та кафтерії.
15 Then Canaan conceived Sidon his firstborn, the Hittite,	15 Ханаан же зродив Сидона, свого первородного, і Хета,
16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, the Girgashite,	16 та й євусіїв, аморіїв, гіргашіїв,
17 the Hivite, and the Arkite: the Sinite,	17 хіввіїв, аркіїв, сініїв,
18 and the Arvadian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite. And after this, the peoples of the Canaanites became widespread.	18 арвадіїв, цемаріїв і хаматіїв: по тому родини ханаанські розійшлися.
19 And the borders of Chanaan went, as one travels, from Sidon to Gerar, even to Gaza, until one enters Sodom and Gomorrah, and from Admah and Zeboiim, even to Lesa.	19 Ханаанська границя сягала від Сидона в напрямі Герару аж до Гази, а в напрямі Содому, Гомори, Адми й Цевоїму — аж до Лета.
20 These are the sons of Ham in their kindred, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.	20 Оці були сини Хама за їхніми родинами та за їхніми мовами, в їхніх краях та в їхніх народах.
21 Likewise, from Shem, the father of all the sons of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.	21 У Сима, батька всіх дітей Евера, а старшого брата Яфетового, теж народилися сини.
22 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.	22 Ось сини Сима: Елем, Ашшур, Арпахшад, Луд і Арам.
23 The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.	23 Сини ж Арама: Уц, Хул, Гетер і Маш.
24 But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.	24 Арпахшад породив Шелаха, Шелах породив Евера.
25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth became divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.	25 В Евера ж народилися два сини: одного звали Пелег, бо за його життя поділилася земля, а його брата — Йоктан.
26 This Joktan conceived Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, Jerah	26 Йоктан породив Алмодада, Шелефа, Хацармавета, Єраха,
27 and Hadoram, and Uzal and Diklah,	27 Гадорама, Узала, Діклу,
28 and Obal and Abimael, Sheba	28 Овала, Авімаела, Шеву,
29 and Ophir, and Havilah and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.	29 Офіра, Хавілу і Йована. Всі вони були синами Йоктана.
30 And their habitation extended from Messa, as one sojourns, even to Sephar, a mountain in the east.
31 These are the sons of Shem according to their kindred, and tongues, and the regions within their nations.	31 Це сини Сима за їхніми родинами та за їхніми мовами, в їхніх краях та за їхніми народами.
32 These are the families of Noah, according to their peoples and nations. The nations became divided according to these, on the earth after the great flood.	32 Такі то були родини синів Ноя за їхніми родами та за їхніми племенами; від них розповсюдились народи по землі після потопу.
