NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Tysiąclecia
1 Then, in my vision, I saw the Lamb break one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four livingcreatures shout in a voice like thunder, 'Come!'	1 I ujrzałem: gdy Baranek otworzył pierwszą z siedmiu pieczęci, usłyszałem pierwsze z czterech Zwierząt mówiące jakby głosem gromu: Przyjdź!
2 Immediately I saw a white horse appear, and its rider was holding a bow; he was given a victor's crownand he went away, to go from victory to victory.	2 I ujrzałem: oto biały koń, a siedzący na nim miał łuk. I dano mu wieniec, i wyruszył jako zwycięzca, by [jeszcze] zwyciężać.
3 When he broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature shout, 'Come!'	3 A gdy otworzył pieczęć drugą, usłyszałem drugie Zwierzę mówiące: Przyjdź!
4 And out came another horse, bright red, and its rider was given this duty: to take away peace from theearth and set people kil ing each other. He was given a huge sword.	4 I wyszedł inny koń barwy ognia, a siedzącemu na nim dano odebrać ziemi pokój, by się wzajemnie ludzie zabijali - i dano mu wielki miecz.
5 When he broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature shout, 'Come!' Immediately I saw a blackhorse appear, and its rider was holding a pair of scales;	5 A gdy otworzył pieczęć trzecią, usłyszałem trzecie Zwierzę mówiące: Przyjdź! I ujrzałem: a oto czarny koń, a siedzący na nim miał w ręce wagę.
6 and I seemed to hear a voice shout from among the four living creatures and say, 'A day's wages for aquart of corn, and a day's wages for three quarts of barley, but do not tamper with the oil or the wine.'	6 I usłyszałem jakby głos w pośrodku czterech Zwierząt, mówiący: Kwarta pszenicy za denara i trzy kwarty jęczmienia za denara, a nie krzywdź oliwy i wina!
7 When he broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature shout, 'Come!'	7 A gdy otworzył pieczęć czwartą, usłyszałem głos czwartego Zwierzęcia mówiącego: Przyjdź!
8 Immediately I saw another horse appear, deathly pale, and its rider was called Death, and Hadesfol owed at its heels. They were given authority over a quarter of the earth, to kil by the sword, by famine, byplague and through wild beasts.	8 I ujrzałem: oto koń trupio blady, a imię siedzącego na nim Śmierć, i Otchłań mu towarzyszyła. I dano im władzę nad czwartą częścią ziemi, by zabijali mieczem i głodem, i morem, i przez dzikie zwierzęta.
9 When he broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of all the people who had been kil edon account of the Word of God, for witnessing to it.	9 A gdy otworzył pieczęć piątą, ujrzałem pod ołtarzem dusze zabitych dla Słowa Bożego i dla świadectwa, jakie mieli.
10 They shouted in a loud voice, 'Holy, true Master, how much longer wil you wait before you passsentence and take vengeance for our death on the inhabitants of the earth?'	10 I głosem donośnym tak zawołały: Dokądże, Władco święty i prawdziwy, nie będziesz sądził i wymierzał za krew naszą kary tym, co mieszkają na ziemi?
11 Each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to be patient a little longer, until the roll wascompleted of their fel ow-servants and brothers who were stil to be killed as they had been.	11 I dano każdemu z nich białą szatę, i powiedziano im, by jeszcze krótki czas odpoczęli, aż pełną liczbę osiągną także ich współsłudzy oraz bracia, którzy, jak i oni, mają być zabici.
12 In my vision, when he broke the sixth seal, there was a violent earthquake and the sun went as blackas coarse sackcloth; the moon turned red as blood al over,	12 I ujrzałem: gdy otworzył pieczęć szóstą, stało się wielkie trzęsienie ziemi i słońce stało się czarne jak włosienny wór, a cały księżyc stał się jak krew.
13 and the stars of the sky fell onto the earth like figs dropping from a fig tree when a high wind shakes it;	13 I gwiazdy spadły z nieba na ziemię, podobnie jak drzewo figowe wstrząsane silnym wiatrem zrzuca na ziemię swe niedojrzałe owoce.
14 the sky disappeared like a scroll rol ing up and al the mountains and islands were shaken from theirplaces.	14 Niebo zostało usunięte jak księga, którą się zwija, a każda góra i wyspa z miejsc swych poruszone.
15 Then al the kings of the earth, the governors and the commanders, the rich people and the men ofinfluence, the whole population, slaves and citizens, hid in caverns and among the rocks of the mountains.	15 A królowie ziemscy, wielmoże i wodzowie, bogacze i możni, i każdy niewolnik, i wolny ukryli się do jaskiń i górskich skał.
16 They said to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fal on us and hide us away from the One who sits on thethrone and from the retribution of the Lamb.	16 I mówią do gór i do skał: Padnijcie na nas i zakryjcie nas przed obliczem Zasiadającego na tronie i przed gniewem Baranka,
17 For the Great Day of his retribution has come, and who can face it?'	17 bo nadszedł Wielki Dzień Jego gniewu, a któż zdoła się ostać?
