1 We ought, then, to turn our minds more attentively than before to what we have been taught, so that wedo not drift away.	1 Dlatego jest konieczne, abyśmy z jak największą pilnością zwracali uwagę na to, cośmy słyszeli, abyśmy przypadkiem nie zeszli na bezdroża.
2 If a message that was spoken through angels proved to be so reliable that every infringement anddisobedience brought its own proper punishment,	2 Jeśli bowiem objawiona przez aniołów mowa była mocna, a wszelkie przekroczenie i nieposłuszeństwo otrzymało słuszną zapłatę,
3 then we shal certainly not go unpunished if we neglect such a great salvation. It was first announced bythe Lord himself, and is guaranteed to us by those who heard him;	3 jakże my unikniemy /kary/, jeśli nie będziemy się troszczyć o tak wielkie zbawienie? Było ono głoszone na początku przez Pana, a umocnione u nas przez tych, którzy je słyszeli.
4 God himself confirmed their witness with signs and marvels and miracles of al kinds, and bydistributing the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the various ways he wil s.	4 Bóg zaś uwierzytelnił je cudami, znakami przedziwnymi, różnorakimi mocami i udzielaniem Ducha Świętego według swej woli.
5 It was not under angels that he put the world to come, about which we are speaking.	5 Nie aniołom bowiem poddał przyszły świat, o którym mówimy.
6 Someone witnesses to this somewhere with the words: What are human beings that you spare athought for them, a child of Adam that you care for him?	6 Ktoś to na pewnym miejscu stwierdził uroczyście, mówiąc: Czym jest człowiek, że pamiętasz o nim, albo syn człowieczy, że się troszczysz o niego;
7 For a short while you have made him less than the angels; you have crowned him with glory andhonour,	7 mało co mniejszym uczyniłeś go od aniołów, chwałą i czcią go uwieńczyłeś.
8 put al things under his feet. For in putting al things under him he made no exceptions. At present, it istrue, we are not able to see that all things are under him,	8 Wszystko poddałeś pod jego stopy. Ponieważ zaś poddał Mu wszystko, nic nie zostawił nie poddanego Jemu. Teraz wszakże nie widzimy jeszcze, aby wszystko było Mu poddane.
9 but we do see Jesus, who was for a short while made less than the angels, now crowned with glory andhonour because he submitted to death; so that by God's grace his experience of death should benefit allhumanity.	9 Widzimy natomiast Jezusa, który mało od aniołów był pomniejszony, chwałą i czcią ukoronowanego za cierpienia śmierci, iż z łaski Bożej za wszystkich zaznał śmierci.
10 It was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should, in bringing many sons toglory, make perfect through suffering the leader of their salvation.	10 Przystało bowiem Temu, dla którego wszystko i przez którego wszystko, który wielu synów do chwały doprowadza, aby przewodnika ich zbawienia udoskonalił przez cierpienie.

14 Since al the children share the same human nature, he too shared equal y in it, so that by his deathhe could set aside him who held the power of death, namely the devil,	14 Ponieważ zaś dzieci uczestniczą we krwi i ciele, dlatego i On także bez żadnej różnicy stał się ich uczestnikiem, aby przez śmierć pokonać tego, który dzierżył władzę nad śmiercią, to jest diabła,
15 and set free al those who had been held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.	15 i aby uwolnić tych wszystkich, którzy całe życie przez bojaźń śmierci podlegli byli niewoli.
