Zechariah 11

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Open your gateways, Lebanon, and the fire shal burn down your cedar trees!	1 O Libano, apri le tue porte, e lo fuoco mangi li tuoi cedri.
2 Wail, juniper, for the cedar tree has fal en, the majestic ones have been ravaged! Wail, oaks ofBashan, for the impenetrable forest has been fel ed!	2 O abete, urla, per che cadde lo cedro, però che gli magnifici sono guastati; urlate voi, querce di Basan, però che lo termine armato è caduto.
3 The sound of the wailing of shepherds! Their majesty has been ravaged. The sound of the roaring ofyoung lions! The pride of the Jordan has been ravaged.	3 La voce dell' urlo de' pastori s' ode, però che è guastata la loro magnificenza; e la voce dello ruggito delli leoni, però ch' è guastata la superbia del Giordano.
4 Yahweh my God says this, 'Pasture the sheep for slaughter,	4 Questo dice lo mio Signore Iddio: pasci le pecore della uccisione.
5 whose buyers kil them and go unpunished, whose sel ers say of them, "Blessed be Yahweh; now I amrich!" and whose own shepherds show them no pity.	5 Le quali uccidevano coloro che le possedono, e vendevanle dicendo: benedetto sia Iddio, noi siamo fatti ricchi; e li loro pastori non perdonavano loro.
6 For I shal show no further pity for the inhabitants of the country -- Yahweh declares! Instead, I shalput everyone into the clutches of a neighbour, into the clutches of the king. They wil crush the country and I shalnot rescue anyone from their clutches.'	6 E io non perdonerò più a coloro che sono abitatori della terra, dice lo Signore Iddio; ecco, io darò li uomini, ciascuno nella mano del suo prossimo, e nella mano del suo re; e cadranno in terra, e non li libererò delle loro mani.
7 Then I pastured for slaughter the sheep belonging to the sheep-dealers. I took two staves: the one Ical ed 'Goodwill', the other 'Couplers'; and I pastured the sheep myself,	7 E pascerò le pecore della uccisione; e però io chiamai li poveri della greggia; e pigliai due verghe; l' una si chiama Bellezza, e l'altra Funicello; e pasceo la greggia.
8 getting rid of three shepherds in one month. But I lost patience with them, and they equal y detestedme.	8 E uccisi tre pastori in uno mese, e lo mio. spirito si ritrasse in loro; e la loro anima sì si variò contro a me.
9 I then said, 'I am not going to pasture you any more; the one doomed to die can die; the one doomedto perish can perish; and the rest can devour one another.'	9 E dissi: io non vi pascerò; chi muore si muoia, e chi è tagliato sie tagliato; altri divori ciascuno la carne del suo prossimo.
10 I then took my staff, 'Goodwil ', and broke it in half, to break my covenant, which I had made with althe peoples.	10 E tolsi la mia verga, che si chiama Bellezza, e taglia'la acciò che facessi tornare addietro lo mio patto, lo quale io feci con tutti li popoli.
11 When it was broken, that day the sheep-dealers, who were watching me, realised that this had beena word of Yahweh.	11 E fue tornato addietro in quel dì; e così conobbero i poveri della greggia, i quali fanno la guardia a me, però che fue la parola di Dio.
12 I then said to them, 'If you see fit, give me my wages; if not, never mind.' So they weighed out mywages: thirty shekels of silver.	12 E io dissi a loro: se vi pare che sia bene, datemi la mia mercede ... E la mia mercede sarà apprezzata XXX danari d'argento.
13 Yahweh said to me, 'Throw it to the smelter, this princely sum at which they have valued me!' Takingthe thirty shekels of silver, I threw them into the Temple of Yahweh, for the smelter.	13 E disse lo Signore a me: tutto quello prezzo ch' io sono apprezzato da loro, piglialo e gettalo al statuario. E tolsi XXX danari d'argento, e gitta'li nella casa di Dio allo statuario.
14 I then broke my second staff, 'Couplers,' in half, to rupture the brotherly relationship between Judahand Israel.	14 E tagliai la mia verga seconda, la quale si chiamava Funicello, per isciogliere la fraternitade tra Giuda e Israel.
15 Next, Yahweh said to me, 'This time, take the gear of a good-for-nothing shepherd.	15 E disse Iddio a me: ancora piglia li vasi del pastore istolto.
16 For I am now going to raise a shepherd in this country, who wil not bother about the lost, who will notgo in search of the stray, who wil not heal the injured, who wil not support the swollen, but who wil eat the meatof the fat ones, tearing off their very hoofs.	16 Però che ecco, io risusciterò lo pastore in terra, il quale non visiterà le cose abbandonate, e non domanderà le cose disperse, e quello che sarà ispezzato non sanerà, e quello che istà non nutrirà, e mangerà le carni de' grassi, e iscioglierà le loro unghie.
17 Disaster to the shepherd who deserts his flock! May the sword attack his arm and his right eye! Mayhis arm shrivel completely and his right eye be total y blinded!'	17 O pastore, e idolo che abbandoni la greggia! Lo coltello sia sopra lo suo braccio, e sopra lo suo occhio diritto; lo suo braccio si seccherà per ariditade, e l'occhio suo diritto intenebrando sarà oscurato.
