Ezekiel 13

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel; prophesy, and say to those who make upprophecies out of their own heads, "Hear what Yahweh says:	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, profetizza contro i profeti d'Israele che vanno facendo profezie; dirai ai profeti delle proprie idee: Udite la parola del Signore:
3 The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the foolish prophets who fol ow their own spirit andhave seen nothing!	3 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Guai ai profeti stolti che seguono il loro spirito senza vere visioni.
4 Your prophets, Israel, are like ruin-haunting jackals!	4 Sono stati come volpi in mezzo a luoghi devastati i tuoi profeti, o Israele.
5 "You have not ventured into the breach; you have not built up the wal round the House of Israel, tohold fast in battle on the Day of Yahweh.	5 Non siete stati sulla breccia né avete eretto mura per la casa d'Israele, per resistere nella battaglia, il giorno del Signore.
6 Theirs are futile visions and false predictions, who say: A prophecy from Yahweh, when Yahweh hasnot sent them; yet they expect their words to come true.	6 Hanno avuto visioni vane e divinazioni false dicendo: "oracolo del Signore", mentre il Signore non li aveva inviati: attesero invano che realizzasse la parola.
7 Have not the visions you see been futile, have not the predictions you make been false, although yousay: A prophecy of Yahweh, when I have not spoken?	7 Non avete forse visto visioni vane e fatto divinazioni false? Avete detto: "oracolo del Signore", mentre io non avevo parlato.
8 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Because of your futile words and false predictions, I am nowagainst you -- declares Lord Yahweh.	8 Perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Siccome avete riferito vanità e avete avuto visioni false, eccomi contro di voi, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
9 My hand wil be against the prophets who have futile visions and give false predictions; they will not beadmitted to the council of my people, their names wil not be entered in the roll of the House of Israel, they willnot set foot on the soil of Israel; and they wil know that I am the Lord Yahweh.	9 La mia mano si volgerà contro i profeti dalle visioni vane e dalle divinazioni false. Non figureranno più nell'assemblea del mio popolo, non saranno scritti nel libro della casa d'Israele e non entreranno nel paese d'Israele. Riconoscerete che io sono il Signore.
10 This is because they have misled my people by saying Peace! when there is no peace. When mypeople were repairing a wal , these men came and plastered it over!	10 Siccome hanno ingannato il mio popolo dicendo "pace" e la pace non c'è, e appena esso costruiva un muro glielo intonacavano,
11 Tel these plasterers: It will rain hard, it wil hail, it wil blow a gale,	11 di' a quelli che l'intonacarono: Se viene una pioggia torrenziale e continua, cade la grandine e soffia il vento impetuoso,
12 and down wil come the wal ! Will not people ask you: What has become of the plaster you slappedon it?	12 il muro è bell'e caduto! Non vi si dirà forse: dov'è l'intonaco che avete spalmato?
13 Wel then, the Lord Yahweh says this: I am going to unleash a stormy wind in my fury, torrential rainin my anger, hailstones in my destructive fury,	13 Perché così dice Dio, mio Signore: Scatenerò un vento impetuoso nel mio furore, ci sarà una pioggia torrenziale nella mia ira e grandine nel furore per lo sterminio.
14 and I shal shatter the wal you plastered and knock it down and lay its foundations bare. It wil faland you wil perish under it; then you wil know that I am Yahweh."	14 Demolirò il muro che avete intonacato, lo abbatterò, ne resteranno scoperte le fondamenta; cadendo quello, voi vi finirete sotto e così riconoscerete che io sono il Signore.
15 'When I have sated my anger on the wal and those who plastered it, I shall say to you, "The wal isgone, and so are those who plastered over it,	15 Sfogherò la mia ira sul muro e su chi l'ha intonacato e si dirà di voi: "Non c'è più né il muro né chi lo ha intonacato",
16 the prophets of Israel who prophesy about Jerusalem and have visions of peace for her when there isno peace -- declares the Lord Yahweh."	16 i profeti d'Israele, che profetizzavano su Gerusalemme e avevano visioni su di essa, visioni di pace, mentre la pace non c'era. Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
17 'Also, son of man, turn to the women of your people who make up prophecies out of their own heads;prophesy against them.	17 Tu, figlio dell'uomo, rivolgiti contro le figlie del tuo popolo che si fanno profezie secondo le proprie idee e profetizza contro di loro.
18 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for women who sew ribbons round each wristand make head-cloths for people of al sizes, in their hunt for souls! Are you to hunt the souls of my people andkeep your own souls safe?	18 Di' loro: Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Guai a quelle che legano fasce su ogni giuntura e mettono veli in testa per qualsiasi statura, dando la caccia alla gente! Credete forse di poter andare a caccia della gente del mio popolo, restando vive voi stesse?
19 You dishonour me in front of my people for a few handfuls of barley, a few bits of bread, kil ing thosewho ought not to die and sparing those who ought not to live, lying to my people who love listening to lies.	19 Voi mi avete disonorato presso il mio popolo, per manciate d'orzo e per pezzi di pane, sì da far morire gente che non doveva morire e far vivere gente che non doveva vivere, dicendo falsità al mio popolo che ascolta bugie.
20 "Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am now against your ribbons, with which you huntsouls like birds, and I shal tear them off your arms and free those souls whom you hunt like birds.	20 Perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Eccomi contro le fasce con cui date la caccia alla gente: le strapperò dalle vostre braccia e lascerò in libertà la gente che avete accalappiato.
21 I shal tear your head-cloths to pieces and rescue my people from your clutches; no longer wil theybe fair game for you to ensnare. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.	21 Strapperò i vostri veli e libererò il mio popolo dalle vostre mani; non saranno più tra le vostre mani come preda di caccia e riconoscerete che io sono il Signore.
22 "For having intimidated with lies the heart of the upright whom I had done nothing to alarm, and forhaving encouraged the wicked not to give up wicked ways and so be saved,	22 Siccome avete rattristato il cuore del giusto con menzogne, mentre io non l'affliggevo, e al contrario avete incoraggiato l'empio così che non si converta dalla sua condotta cattiva e possa vivere,
23 very well, you wil have no more futile visions and make no more predictions, for I shal rescue mypeople from your clutches, and you will know that I am Yahweh." '	23 perciò non avrete più visioni vane e non farete più divinazioni: libererò il mio popolo dalle vostre mani. Riconoscerete che io sono il Signore".
