Jeremiah 45

1 The word that the prophet Jeremiah addressed to Baruch son of Neriah when the latter wrote thesewords down in a book at Jeremiah's dictation in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah,	1 Riječ koju uputi Jeremija proroku Baruhu, sinu Nerijinu, dok je on te riječi iz usta Jeremijinih pisao u knjigu, četvrte godine Jojakima, sina Jošijina, kralja judejskoga:
2 'This is what Yahweh God of Israel says about you, Baruch!	2 Ovako govori Jahve, Bog Izraelov, za tebe, Baruše:
3 "You have been thinking: what disaster for me, and Yahweh has added further grief to my troubles! Iam worn out with groaning, and find no relief!"	3 »Jer si rekao: ‘Jao meni jer mi Jahve dodaje nevolju na nevolju. Sustadoh uzdišući i ne mogu naći mira!’
4 Say to him as fol ows, "Yahweh says this: Now I am knocking down what I have built, am uprootingwhat I have planted, over the whole country!	4 Ovako govori Jahve: ‘Evo, što sam sagradio, porušit ću, što sam zasadio, iščupat ću – po svoj zemlji!
5 And you ask for special treatment! Do not ask, for I am now going to bring disaster on al humanity,Yahweh declares, but you I shal al ow to escape with your life, wherever you may go." '	5 A ti tražiš za se čudesa! Ne traži toga! Jer, gle, svalit ću zlo na sve živo’ – riječ je Jahvina. ‘A tebi ću kao plijen pokloniti život tvoj na svim mjestima kamo dođeš.’«
