Leviticus 20

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Így szólt továbbá az Úr Mózeshez:
2 'Say to the Israelites: "Anyone, be he Israelite or alien resident in Israel, who gives any of his childrento Molech, wil be put to death. The people of the country must stone him,	2 »Ezt mondd Izrael fiainak: Ha valaki, Izrael fiai vagy az Izraelben lakó jövevények közül, odaadja gyermekét a Molok bálványnak: halállal lakoljon, kövezze agyon a föld népe.
3 and I shall set my face against that man and outlaw him from his people; for by giving a child of his toMolech he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name.	3 Én ugyanis ellene fordítom arcomat, s kiirtom népéből, mert odaadta gyermekét a Moloknak, s tisztátalanná tette szentélyemet, s megszentségtelenítette szent nevemet.
4 If the people of the country choose to close their eyes to the man's action when he gives a child of histo Molech, and do not put him to death,	4 Ha pedig a föld népe nem törődik vele, s mintegy kevésbe veszi parancsomat és hagyja azt az embert, aki odaadta gyermekét a Moloknak, s nem öli meg:
5 I myself shal turn my face against that man and his clan. I shal outlaw them from their people, bothhim and all those after him who prostitute themselves by fol owing Molech.	5 akkor én fordítom arcomat az ellen az ember ellen s rokonsága ellen, s kiirtom népéből őt és mindazokat, akik egyetértettek vele a Molokkal való paráználkodásban.
6 "If anyone has recourse to the spirits of the dead or to magicians, to prostitute himself by followingthem, I shal set my face against him and outlaw him from his people.	6 Ha valaki a halottidézőkhöz s a jósokhoz fordul, s paráználkodik velük: ellene fordítom arcomat, s kiirtom népéből.
7 "Sanctify yourselves and be holy, for I am Yahweh your God.	7 Szentül viselkedjetek, és szentek legyetek, mert én, az Úr, vagyok a ti Istenetek!
8 "You wil keep my laws and put them into practice, for it is I, Yahweh, who make you holy.	8 Tartsátok meg parancsaimat, és cselekedjetek szerintük: én, az Úr, szentséget kívánok tőletek!
9 Hence: "Anyone who curses father or mother wil be put to death. Having cursed father or mother, theblood wil be on that person's own head.	9 Ha valaki megátkozza atyját vagy anyját, halállal lakoljon; atyját vagy anyját átkozta: vére legyen rajta.
10 "The man who commits adultery with his neighbour's wife wil be put to death, he and the woman.	10 Ha valaki paráználkodik másnak a feleségével és házasságtörést követ el felebarátja feleségével: halállal lakoljon a házasságtörő férfi is, a házasságtörő asszony is.
11 "The man who has intercourse with his father's wife has infringed his father's sexual prerogative. Bothof them wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	11 Ha valaki a mostohaanyjával hál, és így felfedi atyja szemérmét: halállal lakoljon mind a kettő, vérük legyen rajtuk.
12 "The man who has intercourse with his daughter-in-law: both of them wil be put to death; they haveviolated nature, their blood wil be on their own heads.	12 Ha valaki a menyével hál: haljon meg mind a kettő; iszonyú bűnt követtek el, vérük legyen rajtuk.
13 "The man who has intercourse with a man in the same way as with a woman: they have done ahateful thing together; they wil be put to death; their blood wil be on their own heads.	13 Ha valaki férfival hál asszonnyal való hálás módjára: förtelmességet követett el mind a kettő, halállal lakoljanak, vérük legyen rajtuk.
14 "The man who marries a woman and her mother: this is incest. They wil be burnt alive, he and they;you wil not tolerate incest.	14 Ha valaki feleségül veszi a lányt, s hozzá annak az anyját: nagy vétket követett el, elevenen égessék el velük együtt, ne maradjon ilyen nagy bűn közöttetek.
15 "The man who has intercourse with an animal will be put to death; you wil kil the animal too.	15 Ha valaki marhával vagy más állattal közösül: halállal lakoljon, s öljétek meg az állatot is;
16 "The woman who approaches any animal to have intercourse with it: you will kil the woman and theanimal. They wil be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.	16 ha asszony valamilyen állat alá fekszik: öljék meg azzal együtt, vérük legyen rajtuk.
17 "The man who marries his father's or his mother's daughter: if they have intercourse together, this isan outrage. They wil be executed in public, for the man has had intercourse with his sister; he wil bear theconsequences of his guilt.	17 Ha valaki elveszi a nővérét, atyja lányát vagy anyja lányát, s meglátja annak szemérmét, s az meglátja fivére szemérmét: gyalázatos dolgot cselekedtek, öljék meg őket népük színe előtt, mert felfedték egymásnak szemérmüket, s viseljék gonoszságukat.
18 "The man who has intercourse with a woman during her monthly periods and exposes hernakedness: he has laid bare the source of her blood, and she has exposed the source of her blood, and both ofthem wil be outlawed from their people.	18 Ha valaki havi tisztulásban levő asszonnyal hál, s felfedi annak szemérmét, s az felfedi vére forrását: irtassanak ki mindketten népükből.
19 "You will not have intercourse with your mother's sister or your father's sister. Whoever does so, hashad intercourse with a close relation; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt.	19 Anyád és atyád nővérének szemérmét fel ne fedd; ha valaki ezt megteszi, önnön testének szemérmét fedi fel: viseljék mindketten gonoszságukat.
20 "The man who has intercourse with the wife of his paternal uncle has infringed his uncle's sexualprerogative; they wil bear the consequences of their guilt and die childless.	20 Ha valaki atyja vagy anyja fivérének feleségével hál, s így felfedi önnön rokonsága szemérmét: viseljék mindketten vétküket, haljanak meg gyermek nélkül.
21 "The man who marries his brother's wife: this is pol ution; he has infringed his brother's sexualprerogative; they wil die childless.	21 Ha valaki elveszi fivére feleségét, tilalmas dolgot követ el, fivére szemérmét fedte fel: gyermektelenek legyenek.
22 "You will keep al my laws, al my decisions, and put them into practice, so that the country where Iam taking you to live wil not vomit you out.	22 Tartsátok meg törvényeimet és rendeleteimet, és cselekedjetek szerintük, hogy titeket is ki ne okádjon az a föld, amelyre lakni mentek.
23 You wil not fol ow the laws of the nations whom I am driving out before you; they practised al thesethings, which is why I detested them.	23 Ne járjatok azoknak a nemzeteknek a törvényei szerint, amelyeket én majd kiűzök előletek, mert mindezeket cselekedték és én megutáltam őket.
24 As I have already told you, you wil take possession of their soil, I myself shal give you possession ofit, a country flowing with milk and honey. "Since I, Yahweh your God, have set you apart from these peoples,	24 Nektek pedig azt mondom: foglaljátok el földjüket, nektek adom azt örökségül, azt a tejjel és mézzel folyó földet. Én, az Úr, a ti Istenetek, elkülönítettelek titeket a többi néptől.
25 you for your part wil make a distinction between clean animals and unclean ones and betweenunclean birds and clean ones, and wil not make yourselves detestable with any animal or bird or reptile, which Ihave set apart from you as unclean.	25 Tegyetek tehát ti is különbséget a tiszta és a tisztátalan állat között, a tiszta és a tisztátalan madár között, hogy be ne szennyezzétek magatokat olyan állattal, madárral vagy valamilyen földi csúszó-mászóval, amelyet tisztátalannak nyilvánítottam nektek.
26 "Be consecrated to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and I shall set you apart from all these peoples, foryou to be mine.	26 Szentek legyetek számomra, mert szent vagyok én, az Úr, s én elkülönítettelek titeket a többi néptől, hogy az enyéim legyetek.
27 "Any man or woman of yours who is a necromancer or magician will be put to death; they wil bestoned to death; their blood wil be on their own heads." '	27 Az olyan férfi vagy asszony, akiben halottidéző vagy jósló lélek van, halállal lakoljon; kövezzék agyon őket, vérük legyen rajtuk!«
