Leviticus 14

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Parlò Iddio a Moisè, e dissegli:
2 'This is the law to be applied on the day of the purification of someone who has suffered from acontagious skin-disease. Such a person wil be taken to the priest,	2 Questo si è il modo che terranno i leprosi, quando guariscano: saranno portati al sacerdote.
3 and the priest wil go outside the camp. If he finds on examination that the person has recovered fromthe disease,	3 Lo qual anderà allora fuori dell' abitato; e s'egli vede che sia guarito,
4 he wil order the fol owing to be brought for his purification: two live birds that are clean, some cedar wood, scarlet material and hyssop.	4 sì gli comanderà che offeri per sè due passeri vivi, li quali lecito sia di mangiarli, e legno di cedro, panno vermiglio e isopo.
5 He will then order one of the birds to be slaughtered in an earthenware pot over running water.	5 E uno delli passeri comanderà che sia sacrificato in uno vaso di terra sopra l'acque viventi.
6 He will then take the live bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet material and the hyssop and dip all this(including the live bird) into the blood of the bird slaughtered over running water.	6 E l'altro vivo tingerà nel sangue del passero offerto, con legno cedrino, e grana e isopo.
7 He will then sprinkle the person to be purified of the skin-disease seven times, and having declared theperson clean, wil set the live bird free to fly off into the countryside.	7 Con lo quale colui ch' è liberato sarà asperso sette volte, sicchè di ragione si purghi: lo passero vivo lasserà, sì che ritorni al campo.
8 The person who is being purified will then wash al clothing, shave off al hair, and wash, and wil thenbe clean. After this he will return to the camp, although he wil remain outside his tent for seven days.	8 E quando l'uomo avrà lavate le vestimenta sue, raderassi tutto il corpo, e laverassi con l'acqua; e netto entrerà nello abitato, e starà fuori del tabernacolo per sette dì.
9 On the seventh day he wil shave off all his hair-head, beard and eyebrows; he wil shave off al hishair. After washing his clothing and his body he wil be clean.	9 E lo settimo dì si raderà lo capo e la barba e li cigli e tutta la persona. E lavata da capo la vestimenta tutta e lo corpo,
10 'On the eighth day he wil take two unblemished lambs, an unblemished ewe one year old, three-tenths of wheaten flour mixed with oil for the cereal offering, and one log of oil.	10 l'ottavo dì torrà due agnelli senza macula, e una pecora d'un anno senza macula, e tre decime di farina (cioè di crusca) nello sacrificio, unte d'olio, e da parte uno staro d'olio.
11 The priest who is performing the purification will place the person who is being purified, with all hisofferings, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, before Yahweh.	11 E quando lo sacerdote, che purifica gli uomini, l'avrà ricevuto, e tutte queste cose [ poste) dinnanzi al Signore alla porta del tabernacolo,
12 He wil then take one of the lambs and offer it as a sacrifice of reparation, as also the log of oil. Withthese he wil make the gesture of offering before Yahweh.	12 torrà l'agnello e offerrà per lo peccato, e lo staro dell' olio; e offerto a Dio ogni cosa,
13 He wil then slaughter the lamb on that spot inside the holy place where the victims for the sacrificefor sin and for the burnt offering are slaughtered. This reparatory offering, like the sacrifice for sin, wil revert tothe priest: it is especially holy.	13 farà sacrificio dell' agnello in quello luogo dove si suole offerire la offerta per lo peccato (nel tabernacolo, cioè) in luogo santo. Siccome per lo peccato (appartiene l'ostia al sacerdote), così per lo mancamento allo sacerdote s'appartiene l'ostia; santa de' santi.
14 The priest wil then take some blood of this sacrifice and put it on the lobe of the right ear, the thumbof the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is being purified.	14 E torrà lo sacerdote lo sangue della bestia che sarà offerta per lo difetto, e porranne sopra lo stremo dell' orecchia ritta di colui che si netterà, e sopra lo dito grosso della mano e dello piede dritto.
15 He wil then take the log of oil and pour a little into the hol ow of his left hand.	15 E dell' olio dello staio ne porrà sopra la sua mano manca.
16 He wil dip a finger of his right hand into the oil in the hollow of his left hand, and sprinkle the oil withhis finger seven times before Yahweh.	16 E tignerà lo dito grosso della mano dritta [in esso], e aspergerà sette volte coram Dio.
17 He wil then take some of the oil left in the hollow of his hand and put it on the lobe of the right ear,the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified, in addition to the bloodof the sacrifice of reparation.	17 E quello olio, che gli superchiò in mano, pongane sopra lo stremo della orecchia dritta di colui che si purifica, e sopra lo dito grosso della mano e del piede destro, e sopra lo sangue che è sparso per lo peccato,
18 The rest of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he will put on the head of the person who is being purified.This is how the priest wil perform the rite of expiation for such a person before Yahweh.	18 e sopra lo capo suo.
19 'The priest wil then offer the sacrifice for sin, and perform the rite of expiation for uncleanness for theperson who is being purified. After this, he wil slaughter the burnt offering	19 E pregherà per lui nel cospetto di Dio, e farà lo sacrificio per lo peccato. Allora offerrà lo sacrificio (al tabernacolo).
20 and offer this and the cereal offering on the altar. So, when the priest has performed the rite ofexpiation for him the person wil be clean.	20 E porrallo nello altare con i suoi bagnamenti; e l'uomo per ordine si purificherà.
21 'If he is poor and cannot afford al this, he need take only one lamb, the one for the sacrifice ofreparation, and this will be presented with the gesture of offering to perform the rite of expiation for him. And forthe cereal offering he wil only take one-tenth of wheaten flour mixed with oil, and the log of oil,	21 E s'egli fosse povero, che non potesse trovare quelle cose che dette sono, torrà uno agnello per lo delitto ed offerralo, acciò che lo sacerdote preghi per lui; e la decima parte della crusca, mescolata con l'olio, sarà in sacrificio, e lo staio dell' olio,
22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whichever he can afford, one for a sacrifice for sin and theother for the burnt offering.	22 e due tortore, o due pippioni, de' quali (due) l'uno sia per lo peccato, e l'altro per lo sacrificio.
23 He wil bring these on the eighth day to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting beforeYahweh, for his purification.	23 E offerirà quelle cose lo ottavo dì della sua mondazione a lo prete alla porta del tabernacolo della testimonianza nel cospetto di Dio.
24 The priest wil take the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation and the log of oil, and present them beforeYahweh with the gesture of offering.	24 Lo quale ricevendo lo agnello per lo peccato e lo staio dell' olio, leverà insieme.
25 He wil then slaughter the lamb for the sacrifice of reparation, take some of its blood and put it on thelobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the big toe of the right foot of the person who is beingpurified.	25 E sacrificato lo agnello, dello suo sangue porrà sopra lo stremo della orecchia dritta di colui che si purifica, e sopra lo dito grosso della mano e dello piede diritto.
26 He wil pour the oil into the hol ow of his left hand,	26 Una parte d'olio metterà nella sua mano manca.
27 and with his finger sprinkle the oil in the hol ow of his left hand seven times before Yahweh.	27 Nello quale intingerà lo dito (suo) della mano dritta, e aspergerà sette volte verso Iddio.
28 He wil then put some of the oil on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the bigtoe of the right foot of the person who is being purified, as he did with the blood of the sacrifice of reparation.	28 E toccherà la estrema parte della orecchia ritta di colui che si purifica, e lo dito grosso della mano e del piede ritto (suo) nel luogo del sangue che è versato per lo peccato.
29 The remainder of the oil in the hol ow of his hand he wil put on the head of the person who is beingpurified, thus performing the rite of expiation for him before Yahweh.	29 L'altra parte dell' olio, che tiene in la mano sinistra, lo metterà sopra lo capo di colui ch' è purificato, acciò che Iddio s'aumilii verso di lui.
30 Of the two turtledoves or two young pigeons -- whatever he has been able to afford -- he wil offer	30 E le tortore ovver pippioni offerrà,
31 a sacrifice for sin with one, and with the other a burnt offering with a cereal offering -- whatever hehas been able to afford. This is how the priest will perform before Yahweh the rite of expiation for the person whois being purified.	31 uno per lo peccato, e l'altro al sacrificio co' suoi bagnamenti.
32 'Such is the law concerning someone with a contagious skin-disease who cannot afford the means ofpurification.'	32 Questo si è lo sacrificio dello leproso, che non puote avere ogni cosa nella sua liberazione.
33 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and said:	33 Parlò Iddio a Moisè e ad Aaron, e disse:
34 'When you reach Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, if I infect a house with adisease in the country which you are to possess,	34 Quando voi sarete nella terra Canaan, la quale io vi darò in possessione, se sarà la piaga della lepra nelle case,
35 the owner wil come and inform the priest and say, "I have seen something like a skin-disease in thehouse."	35 colui, di cui è la casa, andarae al prete, e dirà: nella casa mia pare che sia come una piaga di lepra.
36 The priest wil order the house to be emptied before he goes to examine the infection, or everything inthe house wil become unclean; after which, the priest wil go inside and examine the house;	36 Ed egli gli comanderà che cavi ogni cosa della casa, innanzi che v'entri e veggia se è lepra, acciò che non maculi ogni cosa che è nella casa; e poscia sì v'entrerà dentro, e consideri la lepra.
37 and if on examination he finds the wal s of the house pitted with reddish or greenish depressionswhich appear to be eating away the wall,	37 E s'egli vederà nelle pareti della casa come valli pallide, ovver rosse difformi, e più basse dell' altra superficie,
38 the priest wil then go out of the house, to the door, and shut it up for seven days.	38 uscirà fuori della porta della casa, e incontanente la serrerà per sette giorni.
39 On the seventh day, the priest will come back and if on examination he finds that the infection hasspread over the walls of the house,	39 E lo settimo dì verrà, e la considererà. E se troverà esser cresciuta la lepra,
40 he wil order the infected stones to be removed and thrown into some unclean place outside the town.	40 comanderà che sian tratte fuori le pietre dove la lepra istà (e cacciate fuori della casa), e faralle portare fuori della città in luogo diserto.
41 He wil then have all the inside of the house scraped, and the plaster that comes off will be emptied inan unclean place outside the town.	41 E la casa tutta farà radere di dentro per lo circuito, e la rasura manderà in quello luogo medesimo dove son poste le pietre sopradette.
42 The stones wil then be replaced with new ones and the house given a new coat of plaster.	42 E altre pietre metterà, e farà mettere nel detto muro, e acconciare la casa d'altre pietre e d'altra calcina.
43 'If the infection spreads again after the stones have been removed and the house scraped andreplastered,	43 E dopo che le pietre e la polvere saranno tolte via, e d'altra terra linita la casa,
44 the priest wil come and examine it. If he finds that the infection has spread, this means that there is acontagious disease in the house: it is unclean.	44 ed entrato il sacerdote vedrà esser ritornata la lepra, e li pareti esser maculati, la lepra è per severante, la casa immonda.
45 It must be pul ed down and the stones, woodwork and al the plaster be taken to an unclean placeoutside the town.	45 La quale subito disferanno; e le sue pietre e lo legname e tutta la polvere porteranno di fuori del castello in luogo immondo.
46 'Anyone who enters the house while it is closed wil be unclean until evening.	46 E chi entra nella casa, quando istà ser rata, sarà immondo insino al vespro.
47 Anyone who sleeps there wil wash his clothes. Anyone who eats there will wash his clothes.	47 E chi vi mangerà, ovvero chi vi dorme, laverà le sue vestimenta.
48 But if the priest finds, when he comes to examine the infection, that it has not spread in the housesince it was plastered, he wil declare the house clean, for the infection is cured.	48 E se lo prete troverà la casa, quando sarà istata (serrata e) racconcia, senza lepra, renderalla netta e pura.
49 'As a sacrifice for the defilement of the house, he wil take two birds, some cedar wood, scarletmaterial and hyssop.	49 E quando la purificherà, prenderà due passeri, e lo legno del cedro e isopo e panno vermiglio.
50 He wil slaughter one of the birds in an earthenware pot over running water.	50 E sacrificato uno passere in uno orciuolo di terra sopra l'acqua viva,
51 He wil then take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet material and the live bird, dip them into theblood of the slaughtered bird and into the running water and sprinkle the house seven times;	51 torrà lo legno del cedro, l'isopo e la grana e lo passere vivo, e intingerà ogni cosa in quello sangue dello passere sacrificato e nell'acqua viva, e aspergerà la casa sette volte.
52 and after offering the sacrifice for the defilement of the house with the blood of the bird, the runningwater, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet material,	52 E purificheralla così col sangue (del passere) come coll'acqua viva e collo passere vivo, come collo legno cedrino e coll'isopo e con la grana.
53 he wil set the live bird free to fly out of the town into the countryside. Once the rite of expiation hasbeen performed for the house in this way it wil be clean.	53 E quand' egli avrà lasciato lo passere volare liberamente nel campo, orerà per la casa, e sarà monda per ragione.
54 'Such is the law governing all kinds of skin-disease and tinea,	54 Questa è la legge d'ogni lepra, e di percussione,
55 diseases of clothing and houses,	55 della lepra delle vesti e delle case,
56 swel ings, scabs and spots. It defines the occasions when things are unclean and when clean.	56 delle cicatrici e de' carbonculi (ovver bugnoni, che lievano nella pelle) di macchie relucenti e mutate in varie specie di colori,
57 Such is the law on skin-diseases.'	57 acciò che si possa sapere, a che tempo la cosa sia monda, ovver immonda.
