Leviticus 12

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 Parlo Iddio a Moisè e ad Aaron, e disse:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "If a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a boy, she wil beunclean for seven days as when in a state of pol ution due to menstruation.	2 Parla ai figliuoli d'Israel, e di' loro: la donna che hae ricevuto lo seme, e farà figliuolo maschio, sarà immonda VII dì dal dì del suo partorimento,
3 On the eighth day the child's foreskin must be circumcised,	3 E l'ottavo die si circonciderà lo fanciullo.
4 and she wil wait another thirty-three days for her blood to be purified. She wil not touch anythingconsecrated nor go to the sanctuary until the time of her purification is over.	4 Ella istarà XXX dì nel sangue della sua purificazione; e niuna cosa sacrata toccherà, nè non entrerà nello santuario, insino a tanto che si compierà il tempo della sua purificazione.
5 "If she gives birth to a girl, she wil be unclean for two weeks, as during her monthly periods; and willwait another sixty-six days for her blood to be purified.	5 E s'ella partorisce femmina, starae [ immonda] per due settimane secondo il modo dello suo flusso dello menstruo; e sessantasei di stare debba nello sangue della sua purgazione.
6 "When the period of her purification is over, for either boy or girl, she wil bring the priest at theentrance to the Tent of Meeting a lamb one year old for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or turtledove as asacrifice for sin.	6 E quando sono compiuti li dì della sua pur gazione per lo figliuolo o per la figliuola, offerrà l'agnello allo sacrificio, che sia d'un anno, o pippione o vero tortora per lo peccato, all'uscio del tabernacolo, e darallo al prete,
7 The priest must offer this before Yahweh, perform the rite of expiation for her, and she wil be purified from her discharge of blood. "Such is the law concerning a woman who gives birth to either a boy or a girl.	7 che lo offeri a Dio, e pregherà per lei; e così si monderà dello parto suo. E questa si è la legge di coloro che partoriranno o maschio o femina.
8 If she cannot afford a lamb, she must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for the burntoffering and the other for the sacrifice for sin. The priest will perform the rite of expiation for her and she wil bepurified." '	8 E se non potesse l'agnello, tolga due pippioni o due tortore, e l'uno offeri al sacrificio, e l'altro per lo peccato; e prieghi lo prete per lei, e così si monderà.
