Isaiah 60

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.	1 Lèvati suso, Ierusalem, e allùminati; però che viene lo tuo lume, e la gloria del Signore sì è nata sopra te.
2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.	2 Però che le tenebre copriranno la terra, e la oscurità coprirà li populi; e lo Signore nascerà sopra te, e la sua gloria si vedrà in te.
3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.	3 E le genti anderanno nello lume tuo, e li re nello splendore del tuo nascimento.
4 Lift up your eyes and look around: al are assembling and coming towards you, your sons coming fromfar away and your daughters being carried on the hip.	4 Alza nel circuito li occhi tuoi, e riguarda; tutti quelli che sono radunati, sono venuti a te; li tuoi figliuoli verranno dalla lunga, e le tue figliuole si leveranno dello lato.
5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;	5 Allora tu vederai e abbonderai, e lo tuo cuore si maraviglierà e dilaterassi, quando la moltitudine del mare sarà (chiamata, convertita e) rivolta a te, e quando la fortezza delle genti sarà venuta a te.
6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.	6 L'abbondanza de' cammelli coprirà te, e li (tuoi) dromedarii di Madian ed Efa; (e nota che li dromedarii sono animali minori che cammelli, ma sono più veloci; Madian ed Efa sì sono contrade, e sono di là da Arabia, e abbondano molto di cammelli e di dromedarii); tutti quelli di Saba (cioè di quella contrada) verranno, e porteranno oro e incenso, e annunceranno lode a Dio.
7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.	7 Ogni pecora di Cedar (cioè quella contrada) si radunerà a te, e li montoni di Nabaiot serviranno a te; sarà offerta sopra lo placabile altare mio, e io glorificherò la casa della mia maestade.
8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?	8 Chi sono costoro, che volano come nuvole, e volano come fanno i colombi alle loro fenestre?
9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.	9 Le isole aspettano me, e le navi del mare nello principio, per adducere i tuoi figliuoli dalla lunga; (e porteranno con loro) lo loro argento e lo loro oro al nome del tuo Iddio, e al santo d'Israel lo quale darà gloria a te.
10 Foreigners wil rebuild your walls and their kings wil serve you. For though I struck you in anger, inmercy I have pitied you.	10 E i figliuoli de' peregrini edificheranno le tue mura, e li loro re serviranno a te; però ch' io percossi te nella mia indignazione, e hoe avuto misericordia di te nella mia riconciliazione.
11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.	11 E le tue porte saranno aperte sempre; e non si chiuderanno nè di dì nè di notte, acciò che la fortezza delle genti sia apportata a te, e sianti menati li loro re.
12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.	12 E la gente e li reami, che non serviranno a te, periranno; e le genti saranno guaste per li sbandeggiamenti.
13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.	13 La gloria dello Libano verrà a te; l'abete e lo bosso e lo pino insieme si porteranno ad adornare lo luogo della mia santificazione; e glorificherò lo luogo delli miei piedi.
14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.	14 Li loro figliuoli verranno a te inchinati, li quali adumiliarono te; e adoreranno le vestigie dei tuoi piedi tutti quelli i quali biasimavano te; e chiamaranno te cittade del Signore santo d' Israel.
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.	15 Perciò che fosti abbandonata, e avuta in odio, e non era chi passasse per te, io porrò te nella superbia (cioè nell' altezza) de' secoli, e allegrezza in ogni generazione.
16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 E succhierai lo latte delle genti, e sarai lattata colle poppe de' re; e saprai ch' io sono lo Signore, e sono lo tuo redentore, Iddio di Iacob.
17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.	17 Io porterò oro per metallo, e per ferro porterò argento, e per legno porterò bronzo, e per pietre porterò lo ferro; e porrò la pace per tua visitazione, e li tuoi preposti giustizia.
18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.	18 Però non si dirà più, che sia malvagitade nella tua terra, nè guastamento nè altra persecuzione nelli tuoi termini; e la salute occuperà le tue mura, e la lode (t' aprirà) le tue porte.
19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.	19 Non sarà a te più sole che illuminerà lo dì, nè lo splendore della luna illuminerà te; ma lo Signore sarà tua luce in sempiterno, e lo tuo Iddio sarà la tua gloria.
20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.	20 E lo tuo sole non tramonterà più, e la tua luna non mancherà; però che lo Signore sarà tua luce in sempiterno, e li dì del pianto tuo si compiranno.
21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.	21 E lo tuo populo sì sono tutti li giusti, e loro erediteranno la terra in perpetuo; lo ramo della mia piantagione sì fu opera. della mia mano per dare gloria.
22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.	22 Lo minimo n' averae mille, e lo piccolo sarà come gente fortissima; io sono lo Signore nel suo tempo, e farò questo subitamente.
