Ezekiel 35

1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 Akkor az Úr ezt a szózatot intézte hozzám:
2 Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it.	2 »Emberfia, fordítsd arcodat Szeír hegysége ellen, jövendölj ellene és mondd neki:
3 Say to it: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Mount Seir. I will stretch out my hand against you and make you a desolate waste.	3 Így szól az Úr Isten: Íme, ellened fordulok, Szeír hegysége; kinyújtom ellened kezemet, és kietlen pusztasággá teszlek.
4 Your cities I will turn into ruins, and you shall be a waste; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	4 Városaidat romba döntöm, és te pusztasággá leszel; akkor megtudod majd, hogy én vagyok az Úr!
5 Because you never let die your hatred for the Israelites, whom you delivered over to the power of the sword at the time of their trouble, when their crimes came to an end,	5 Mivel örökös ellenség voltál, és Izrael fiait kard hatalmába adtad szorongatásuk idején, végső bűnhődésük idejében,
6 therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, you have been guilty of blood, and blood, I swear, shall pursue you.	6 azért életemre mondom, én, az Úr Isten: Átadlak a vérontásnak, s a vér üldöz majd téged; mivel önvéredet gyűlölted, a vér üldöz majd téged.
7 I will make Mount Seir a desolate waste, and cut off from it any traveler.	7 Szeír hegyét kietlen pusztasággá teszem, és elvesztem róla a járó-kelőt.
8 With the slain I will fill your hills, your valleys, and all your ravines (in them the slain shall fall by the sword):	8 A hegyeit betöltöm megöltjeivel; halmaidon, völgyeidben és folyóid mellett kard által elesettek fognak heverni.
9 desolate will I make you forever, and leave your cities without inhabitants; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	9 Örökös pusztasággá teszlek, és városaidban nem laknak többé; akkor megtudjátok majd, hogy én, az Úr vagyok az Isten!
10 Because you said: The two nations and the two lands have become mine; we shall possess them--although the LORD was there--	10 Mivel így szóltál: ‘A két nemzet és a két ország az enyém lesz, és birtokomba veszem őket!’ – holott az Úr volt ott –,
11 therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I will deal with you according to your anger and your envy which you have exercised (in your hatred) against them. I will make myself known among you when I judge you,	11 azért életemre mondom, én, az Úr Isten: Haragod és irigységed szerint cselekszem majd, amint te is cselekedtél, mert gyűlölted őket; és kinyilatkoztatom magamat közöttük, amikor majd megítéllek.
12 and you shall know that I am the LORD. I have heard all the contemptuous things you have uttered against the mountains of Israel: "They are desolate, they have been given us to devour."	12 Akkor megtudod majd, hogy én, az Úr, meghallottam minden gyalázó szavadat, amelyet Izrael hegyeiről mondtál, amikor így szóltál: ‘Pusztulás jött rájuk! A mieink lettek, hogy felfaljuk őket!’
13 I have heard the insolent and wild words you have spoken against me.	13 Ellenem támadtatok szátokkal, és gyalázkodó szavakkal illettetek engem; én meghallottam!
14 Thus says the Lord GOD: Just as you rejoiced over my land because it was desolate, so will I do to you.	14 Így szól az Úr Isten: Pusztasággá teszlek az egész föld örömére!
15 In keeping with your glee over the devastation of the inheritance of the house of Israel, so will I treat you. A waste shall you be, Mount Seir, you and the whole of Edom. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	15 Amint te örvendeztél Izrael házának örökségén, mivel az elpusztult, úgy cselekszem majd veled is; sivataggá leszel, Szeír hegye, meg te is, egész Edom, és megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az Úr!
