1 As for the classes of gatekeepers. Of the Korahites was Meshelemiah, the son of Kore, one of the sons of Abiasaph.	1 - Ecco le classi dei portieri appartenenti alla famiglia dei Coriti: Meselemia figliuolo di Core, dei figli di Asaf.
2 Meshelemiah's sons: Zechariah, the first-born, Jediael, the second son, Zebadiah, the third, Jathniel, the fourth,	2 Figli di Meselemia: Zaccaria il primogenito, Jadiel il secondo, Zabadia il terzo, Jatanael il quarto,
3 Elam, the fifth, Jehohanan, the sixth, Eliehoenai, the seventh.	3 Elam il quinto, Joanan il sesto, Elioenai il settimo.
4 Obed-edom's sons: Shemaiah, the first-born, Jehozabad, a second son, Joah, the third, Sachar, the fourth, Nethanel, the fifth,	4 Figli di Obededom: Semeia il primogenito, Jozabad il secondo, Joaa il terzo, Sacar il quarto, Natanael il quinto,
5 Ammiel, the sixth, Issachar, the seventh, Peullethai, the eighth, for God blessed him.	5 Ammiel il sesto, Issacar il settimo, Follati l'ottavo, poichè il Signore l'avea benedetto.
6 To his son Shemaiah were born sons who ruled over their family, for they were warriors.	6 A Semeia poi figlio di lui, nacquero figli che furono capi delle loro famiglie e che erano uomini fortissimi.
7 The sons of Shemaiah were Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad; also his brethren who were men of might, Elihu and Semachiah.	7 I figli dunque di Semeia: Otni, Rafael, Obed, Elzabad, e i suoi fratelli uomini assai valenti: Eliu e Samachia.
8 All these were the sons of Obed-edom, who, together with their sons and their brethren, were mighty men, fit for the service. Of Obed-edom, sixty-two.	8 Tutti costoro erano figli di Obededom; tanto essi che i figli e fratelli loro, tutti uomini valentissimi nel servizio, erano in numero di sessantadue della casa di Obededom.
9 Of Meshelemiah, eighteen sons and brethren, mighty men.	9 Invece i figli di Meselemia e i loro fratelli assai valenti erano in numero di diciotto.
10 Hosah, a descendant of Merari, had these sons: Shimri, the chief (for though he was not the first-born, his father made him chief),	10 Di Osa, vale a dire dei figli di Merari: Semri fu il capo, (benchè non fosse primogenito, tuttavia fu dal padre suo posto come capo).
11 Hilkiah, the second son, Tebaliah, the third, Zechariah, the fourth. All the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.	11 Elcia fu il secondo; Tabelia il terzo, Zaccaria il quarto; tutti i figli e i fratelli di Osa furono tredici.
12 To these classes of gatekeepers, under their chief men, were assigned watches in the service of the house of the LORD, for each group in the same way.	12 Questi furono distribuiti come portieri, affinchè essi, come principi delle guardie, e così pure i fratelli loro, servissero sempre nella casa del Signore.
13 They cast lots for each gate, the small and the large families alike.	13 Essi estrassero le sorti, piccoli e grandi, senza distinzione, secondo le loro famiglie per ciascuna porta.
14 When the lot was cast for the east side, it fell to Meshelemiah. Then they cast lots for his son Zechariah, a prudent counselor, and the north side fell to his lot.	14 La parte orientale toccò in sorte a Selemia; invece a Zaccaria suo figlio, che era un uomo prudentissimo e istruito, toccò in sorte la parte settentrionale;
15 To Obed-edom fell the south side, and to his sons the storehouse.	15 Obededom e i figli suoi ebbero il lato meridionale, nella quale parte del tempio trovasi il consiglio dei seniori:
16 To Hosah fell the west side with the Shallecheth gate at the ascending highway. For each family, watches were established.	16 Sefim e Osa ebbero il lato occidentale, accanto alla porta che conduce alla via della salita; una guardia era di fronte all'altra guardia.
17 On the east, six watched each day, on the north, four each day, on the south, four each day, and at the storehouse they were two and two;	17 Eranvi a oriente sei leviti, a settentrione quattro per giorno, a mezzogiorno pure quattro per giorno, e dove si trovava il consiglio servivano a due a due.
18 as for the large building on the west, there were four at the highway and two at the large building.	18 Dal lato di occidente nelle stanze dei portieri ve ne erano quattro sulla strada e due per cella.
19 These were the classes of the gatekeepers, descendants of Kore and Merari.	19 Queste sono le divisioni dei portieri, figliuoli di Core e Merari. Le guardie del tesoro e altri uffici dei leviti
20 Their brother Levites superintended the stores for the house of God and the stores of votive offerings.	20 Achia vegliava sopra i tesori della casa di Dio e sopra gli utensili del santuario.

24 Shubael, son of Gershon, son of Moses, was chief superintendent over the treasures.	24 Subael figlio di Gersom, figlio di Mosè, era preposto ai tesori;
25 His associate pertained to Eliezer, whose son was Rehabiah, whose son was Jeshaiah, whose son was Joram, whose son was Zichri, whose son was Shelomith.	25 il fratello di lui Eliezer, il cui figlio era Raabia, il figlio di costui Isaia e figlio di costui Joram, il cui figlio era Zecri e il figlio di questi Selemit.
26 This Shelomith and his brethren superintended all the stores of the votive offerings dedicated by King David, the heads of the families, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the commanders of the army,	26 Erano lo stesso Selemit e i fratelli suoi i custodi dei tesori del santuario, che il re Davide aveva santificato, ed erano anche principi delle famiglie e tribuni, e centurioni, e duci dell'esercito,
27 from the booty they had taken in the wars, for the enhancement of the house of the LORD.	27 delle cose cioè provenienti dalle guerre e dalle spoglie guerresche e consacrate per il mantenimento del tempio del Signore e de' suoi arredi.
28 Also, whatever Samuel the seer, Saul, son of Kish, Abner, son of Ner, Joab, son of Zeruiah, and all others had consecrated, was under the charge of Shelomith and his brethren.	28 Tutte queste cose eran state consacrate dal veggente Samuele, da Saul figlio di Cis, da Abner figlio di Ner e da Joab figlio di Sarvia; tutti quelli che le consacravano [le affidavano] alle mani di Selemit e de' suoi fratelli.
29 Among the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were in charge of Israel's civil affairs as officials and judges.	29 Agli Isaariti era stato preposto Conenia e i suoi figliuoli che attendevano alle opere esteriori che riguardavano Israele, cioè ad ammaestrare e a giudicare il popolo.

31 Among the Hebronites, Jerijah was their chief according to their family records.
