1 They brought in the ark of God and set it within the tent which David had pitched for it. Then they offered up holocausts and peace offerings to God.	1 Introdujeron el arca de Dios y la colocaron en medio de la Tienda que David había hecho levantar para ella; y ofrecieron ante Dios holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión.
2 When David had finished offering up the holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD,	2 Cuando David hubo acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y los sacrificios de comunión, bendijo al pueblo en nombre de Yahveh,
3 and distributed to every Israelite, to every man and every woman, a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a raisin cake.	3 y repartió a todo el pueblo de Israel, hombres y mujeres, a cada uno una torta de pan, un pastel de dátiles y un pastel de pasas.
4 He now appointed certain Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to celebrate, thank, and praise the LORD, the God of Israel.	4 David estableció los levitas que habían de hacer el servicio delante del arca de Yahveh, celebrando, glorificando y alabando a Yahveh, el Dios de Israel.
5 Asaph was their chief, and second to him were Zechariah, Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. These were to play on harps and lyres, while Asaph was to sound the cymbals,	5 Asaf era el jefe; Zacarías era el segundo; luego Uzziel, Semiramot, Yejiel, Mattitías, Eliab, Benaías, Obededom y Yeiel, con salterios y cítaras. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos.
6 and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel were to be the regular trumpeters before the ark of the covenant of God.	6 Los sacerdotes Benaáis y Yajaziel tocaban sin interrupción las trompetas delante del arca de la alianza de Dios.
7 Then, on that same day, David appointed Asaph and his brethren to sing for the first time these praises of the LORD:	7 Aquel día David, alabando el primero a Yahveh, entregó a Asaf y a sus hermanos este canto:
8 Give thanks to the LORD, invoke his name; make known among the nations his deeds.	8 ¡Dad gracias a Yahveh, aclamad su nombre, divulgad entre los pueblos sus hazañas!
9 Sing to him, sing his praise, proclaim all his wondrous deeds.	9 ¡Cantadle, salmodiad para él, sus maravillas todas recitad!
10 Glory in his holy name; rejoice, O hearts that seek the LORD!	10 ¡Gloriaos en su santo Nombre, se alegre el corazón de los que buscan a Yahveh!
11 Look to the LORD in his strength; seek to serve him constantly.	11 ¡Buscad a Yahveh y su fuerza, id tras su rostro sin descanso!
12 Recall the wondrous deeds that he has wrought, his portents, and the judgments he has uttered,	12 Recordad las maravillas que él ha hecho, sus prodigios y los juicios de su boca,
13 You descendants of Israel, his servants, sons of Jacob, his chosen ones!	13 raza de Israel, su servidor, hijos de Jacob, sus elegidos.
14 He, the LORD, is our God; throughout the earth his judgments prevail.	14 El, Yahveh, es nuestro Dios, por toda la tierra sus juicios.
15 He remembers forever his covenant which he made binding for a thousand generations--	15 Recordad para siempre su alianza, palabra que impuso a mil generaciones;
16 Which he entered into with Abraham and by his oath to Isaac;	16 lo que pactó con Abraham, el juramento que hizo a Isaac.
17 Which he established for Jacob by statute, for Israel as an everlasting covenant,	17 Y que puso a Jacob como precepto, a Israel como alianza eterna,
18 Saying, "To you will I give the land of Canaan as your allotted inheritance."	18 diciendo: «Yo te daré la tierra de Canaán, por parte de vuestra herencia»,
19 When they were few in number, a handful, and strangers there,	19 cuando erais escasa gente, poco numerosos, y forasteros allí.
20 Wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,	20 Cuando iban de nación en nación desde un reino a otro pueblo,
21 He let no one oppress them, and for their sake he rebuked kings:	21 a nadie permitió oprimirles. Por ellos castigó a los reyes.
22 "Touch not my anointed, and to my prophets do no harm."	22 «Guardaos de tocar a mis ungidos ni mal alguno hagáis a mis profetas».
23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth, announce his salvation, day after day	23 Cantad a Yahveh toda la tierra anunciad su salvación día tras día.
24 Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.	24 Contad su gloria a las naciones, a todos los pueblos sus maravillas.
25 For great is the LORD and highly to be praised; and awesome is he, beyond all gods.	25 Que es grande Yahveh y muy digno de alabanza, más temible que todos los dioses.
26 For all the gods of the nations are things of nought, but the LORD made the heavens.	26 Porque nada son todos los dioses de los pueblos, mas Yahveh los cielos hizo.
27 Splendor and majesty go before him; praise and joy are in his holy place.	27 Gloria y majestad están ante él, fortaleza y alegría en su Morada.
28 Give to the LORD, you families of nations, give to the LORD glory and praise;	28 ¡Rendid a Yahveh, familias de los pueblos, rendid a Yahveh gloria y poder!
29 Give to the LORD the glory due his name! Bring gifts, and enter his presence; worship the LORD in holy attire.	29 ¡Rendid a Yahveh la gloria de su Nombre! Traed ofrendas y en sus atrios entrad. ¡Postraos ante Yahveh en esplendor sagrado!
30 Tremble before him, all the earth; he has made the world firm, not to be moved.	30 ¡Tiemble ante su faz la tierra entera! El orbe está seguro, no vacila.
31 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let them say among the nations: The LORD is king.	31 Alégrense los cielos y la tierra jubile. Decid entre las gentes: «¡Yahveh es rey!»
32 Let the sea and what fills it resound; let the plains rejoice and all that is in them!	32 ¡Retumbe el mar y cuanto encierra! ¡Exulte el campo y cuanto en él existe!
33 Then shall all the trees of the forest exult before the LORD, for he comes: he comes to rule the earth.	33 Griten de júbilo los árboles de los bosque ante Yahveh, pues viene a juzgar la tierra.
34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his kindness endures forever;	34 ¡Dad gracias a Yahveh, porque es bueno, porque es eterno su amor!
35 And say, "Save us, O God, our savior, gather us and deliver us from the nations, That we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in praising you."	35 Y decid: «¡Sálvanos, oh Dios de nuestra salvación! Reúnenos y líbranos de las naciones, para dar gracias a tu Nombre santo y gloriarnos en tu alabanza».
36 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, through all eternity! Let all the people say, Amen! Alleluia.	36 Bendito sea Yahveh, el Dios de Israel, por eternidad de eternidades». Y todo el pueblo dijo: «Amén». Y alabó a Yahveh.
37 Then David left Asaph and his brethren there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister before the ark regularly according to the daily ritual;	37 David dejó allí, ante el arca de la alianza de Yahveh, a Asaf y a sus hermanos, para el ministerio continuo delante del arca, según el rito de cada día;
38 he also left there Obed-edom and sixty-eight of his brethren, including Obed-edom, son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, to be gatekeepers.	38 y a Obededom, con sus hermanos, en número de 68, y a Obededom, hijo de Yedutún, y a Josá, como porteros;
39 But the priest Zadok and his priestly brethren he left before the Dwelling of the LORD on the high place at Gibeon,	39 y el sacerdote Sadoq y a sus hermanos, los sacerdotes, delante de la Morada de Yahveh, en el alto de Gabaón,
40 to offer holocausts to the LORD on the altar of holocausts regularly, morning and evening, and to do all that is written in the law of the LORD which he has decreed for Israel.	40 para que ofreciesen continuamente holocaustos a Yahveh en el altar de los holocaustos, por la mañana y por la tarde, según todo lo escrito en la Ley que Yahveh había mandado a Israel.
41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the others who were chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, "because his kindness endures forever,"	41 Con ellos estaban Hemán y Yedutún y los restantes escogidos y nominalmente designados para alabar a Yahveh: «Porque es eterno su amor».
42 with trumpets and cymbals for accompaniment, and instruments for the sacred chant. The sons of Jeduthun kept the gate.	42 Y con ellos, Hemán y Yedutún, que hacían sonar trompetas, címbalos e instrumentos para los cánticos de Dios. Los hijos de Yedutún eran porteros.
43 Then all the people departed, each to his own home, and David returned to bless his household.	43 Luego, todo el pueblo se fue, cada cual a su casa; también David se volvió para bendecir su casa.
