1 Or il Signore disse a Mosè: Con una altra sola piaga io flagellerò ancor Faraone, e l'Egitto, e dopo questa vi lascerà andare, e vi sforzerà a partire.	1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'I shal inflict one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt, after which he willet you go away. When he lets you go, he wil actually drive you out!
2 Dirai adunque a tutta la moltitudine, che domandi ciascuno al suo amico, e ogni donna alla sua vicina vasi d'argento, e d'oro.	2 Now instruct the people that every man is to ask his neighbour, and every woman hers, for silver andgolden jewel ery.'
3 E il Signore farà, che il popolo suo trovi ben disposti gli Egiziani. Or Mosè fu uomo grande assai nella terra d'Egitto nel cospetto de' servi di Faraone, e di tutto il popolo.	3 And Yahweh made the Egyptians impressed with the people, while Moses himself was a man of greatimportance in Egypt in the opinion of Pharaoh's officials and the people.
4 Ed ei disse: Queste cose dice il Signore: A mezza notte io entrerò in Egitto:	4 Moses then said, 'Yahweh says this, "At midnight I shal pass through Egypt,
5 E morranno tutti i primogeniti nella terra d'Egitto, dal primogenito di Faraone, che siede sul trono di lui, fino al primogenito della schiava, la quale stà alla macina, ed anche tutti i primogeniti de' giumenti.	5 and all the first-born in Egypt wil die, from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir to his throne, to the first-bornof the slave-girl at the mill, and all the first-born of the livestock.
6 E saranno strida grandi per tutta la terra d'Egitto, quali né furon prima, né saranno di poi.	6 And throughout Egypt there wil be great wailing, such as never was before, nor will be again.
7 Ma tra' figliuoli d'Israele dall’uomo fino alle bestie non abbaierà un cane: affinché conosciate, quanto prodigiosa distanza ponga Dio tra gli Egiziani, e Israele.	7 But against the Israelites, whether man or beast, never a dog shal bark, so that you may know thatYahweh discriminates between Egypt and Israel.
8 E verranno tutti questi tuoi servi a trovarmi, e mi adoreranno dicendo: Parti tu, e tutto il popolo governato da te: dopo di ciò noi partiremo.	8 Then all these officials of yours wil come down to me and, bowing low before me, say: Go away, youand all the people who fol ow you! After which, I shal go." ' And, hot with anger, he left Pharaoh's presence.
9 E pieno di sdegno partissi da Faraone. Ma il Signore disse a Mosè: Faraone non vi ascolterà, affinché si moltiplichino i prodigii nella terra d'Egitto.	9 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Pharaoh wil not listen to you, so that more of my wonders may bedisplayed in Egypt.'
10 E Mosè ed Aronne fecero dinanzi a Faraone tutti i prodigii, che sono scritti. Ma il Signore indurò il cuore di Faraone, e questi non lasciò partire i figliuoli d'Israele dalla sua terra.	10 Moses and Aaron worked al these wonders in Pharaoh's presence, but Yahweh made Pharaohstubborn, and he did not let the Israelites leave his country.
