Deuteronomy 27

1 And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.	1 Mosè e gli anziani d'Israele ordinarono al popolo: "Osservate tutti i comandamenti che oggi vi prescrivo.
2 And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister:	2 Il giorno in cui attraverserete il Giordano verso la terra che il Signore tuo Dio ti dona, drizzerai delle grandi pietre e le spalmerai di calce;
3 And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.	3 vi scriverai sopra tutte le parole di questa legge, quando sarai passato per entrare nella terra che il Signore tuo Dio ti dona, terra dove scorre latte e miele, come ti ha detto il Signore, Dio dei tuoi padri.
4 Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister.	4 Quando avrete attraversato il Giordano, drizzerete queste pietre sul monte Ebal, come oggi vi ordino e le spalmerai di calce.
5 And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them.	5 Edificherai quivi un altare al Signore tuo Dio; un altare di pietre su cui non hai passato il ferro;
6 Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:	6 con pietre intatte edificherai l'altare al Signore tuo Dio e vi offrirai sopra olocausti al Signore tuo Dio,
7 And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the LORD thy God.	7 immolerai sacrifici pacifici, ivi ne mangerai e ti rallegrerai al cospetto del Signore tuo Dio.
8 And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.	8 Scriverai sulle pietre tutte le parole di questa legge; incidile bene".
9 And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.	9 Mosè e i sacerdoti leviti parlarono a tutto Israele: "Taci e ascolta, Israele. Oggi sei divenuto un popolo per il Signore tuo Dio.
10 Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.	10 Ascolterai la voce del Signore tuo Dio e metterai in pratica i suoi precetti e le sue prescrizioni che oggi ti ordino".
11 And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,	11 In quel giorno Mosè ordinò al popolo:
12 These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when ye are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:	12 "Quando avrete attraversato il Giordano, ecco quelli che staranno sul monte Garizim per benedire: Simeone, Levi, Giuda, Issacar, Giuseppe e Beniamino;
13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.	13 ed ecco quelli che staranno sul monte Ebal per la maledizione: Ruben, Gad, Aser, Zabulon, Dan e Neftali.
14 And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,	14 I leviti intoneranno e diranno a voce alta a tutti gli Israeliti:
15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.	15 "Maledetto colui che fa un idolo scolpito e fuso, abominio per il Signore, opera delle mani di un artigiano, e lo pone in luogo segreto". Tutto il popolo risponderà: "Amen".
16 Cursed be he that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.	16 "Maledetto colui che disonora suo padre e sua madre". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
17 Cursed be he that removeth his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.	17 "Maledetto colui che sposta i confini del suo prossimo". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
18 Cursed be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.	18 "Maledetto colui che fa smarrire un cieco sul cammino". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
19 Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.	19 "Maledetto colui che calpesta il diritto del forestiero, dell'orfano e della vedova". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
20 Cursed be he that lieth with his father's wife; because he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.	20 "Maledetto colui che giace con la moglie di suo padre, poiché scopre il lembo del mantello di suo padre". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
21 Cursed be he that lieth with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.	21 "Maledetto colui che giace con una qualsiasi bestia". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.	22 "Maledetto colui che giace con la sorella, figlia di suo padre o figlia di sua madre". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
23 Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.	23 "Maledetto colui che giace con la suocera". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
24 Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.	24 "Maledetto colui che colpisce il suo prossimo di nascosto". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.	25 "Maledetto colui che accetta un regalo per colpire a morte il sangue innocente". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.	26 "Maledetto colui che non si attiene a tutte le parole di questa legge per metterle in pratica". Tutto il popolo dirà: "Amen".
