1 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:	1 Cantique des montées. On m’a beaucoup attaqué depuis ma jeunesse - Israël peut bien le dire.
2 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.	2 On m’a beaucoup attaqué depuis ma jeunesse, mais nul n’a eu raison de moi.
3 The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.	3 Des laboureurs ont labouré mon dos et laissé tout au long des sillons.
4 The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.	4 Mais le Seigneur est juste, lui qui tranche les cordes des méchants.
5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.	5 Qu’ils connaissent l’échec, et puis la retraite, tous ceux qui détestent Sion.
6 Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:	6 Qu’ils soient comme l’herbe du jardin qui se dessèche sans attendre qu’on l’arrache.
7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.	7 Pas de moissonneur pour en remplir sa main, pour la mettre en gerbes et la prendre en son manteau;
8 Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.	8 et pas un passant sur le chemin pour dire: “Que le Seigneur vous bénisse!”
	9 Nous vous bénissons au nom du Seigneur.
