1 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.	1 - Cantico de' gradini. Spesso m'hanno assalito sin dalla mia gioventù, -dica ora Israele, -
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.	2 spesso m'hanno assalito sin dalla mia gioventù, ma non han prevalso contro di me.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.	3 Sul mio dorso han lavorato i peccatori, han prolungato la loro iniquità.
4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.	4 [Ma] il Signore è giusto, ha troncato le teste dei peccatori.
5 The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.	5 Sian svergognati e si facciano indietrotutti quelli che odiano Sion.
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.	6 Divengan come l'erba de' tetti, che prima d'esser colta è secca.
	7 Di essa non empie la sua mano chi miete, e il suo seno chi i covoni raccoglie!
	8 E non dicono i passanti:«La benedizione del Signore su voi. Noi vi benediciamo nel nome del Signore!».
