1 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.	1 Alléluia! Il me plaît que le Seigneur ait entendu l’appel de ma prière,
2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.	2 qu’il ait tourné vers moi son oreille le jour où je criais vers lui.
3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.	3 Les filets de la mort se refermaient sur moi, j’étais pris au lacet fatal et ne voyais plus qu’angoisse et tristesse.
4 Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.	4 J’ai invoqué le nom du Seigneur: “Ô Seigneur, sauve mon âme!”
5 Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.	5 Le Seigneur est vraiment bon, il est juste, notre Dieu est compatissant.
6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.	6 Le Seigneur prend soin des humbles, il m’a sauvé me voyant faible.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.	7 Reviens, mon âme, à ton repos car le Seigneur t’a pris en charge.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.	8 Il a gardé mon âme de la mort, mes yeux n’ont pas connu les larmes, ni mon pied les faux pas.
9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.	9 Je marcherai en présence du Seigneur sur la terre des vivants.
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:	10 J’ai eu foi alors même que je disais: “Je suis vraiment bien en peine.”
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.	11 Alors j’ai dit dans mon trouble: “Tout l’humain est déception!”
12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?	12 Comment rendrai-je au Seigneur tant d’attentions pour moi?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.	13 J’élèverai la coupe pour une délivrance et je célébrerai le Nom du Seigneur.
14 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.	14 J’accomplirai les vœux que je fis au Seigneur et tout le peuple sera là.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.	15 Il en coûte au Seigneur de voir la mort de ses fidèles:
16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.	16 “Vois donc, Seigneur, je suis ton serviteur, ton serviteur et le fils de ta servante: tu as brisé mes liens!”
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.	17 Je t’offrirai le sacrifice d’action de grâce et je célébrerai le Nom du Seigneur.
18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,	18 J’accomplirai mes vœux que je fis au Seigneur et tout le peuple sera là,
19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.	19 dans les parvis de la maison du Seigneur et tout alentour dans Jérusalem.
