KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Gyermekek, engedelmeskedjetek szüleiteknek az Úrban, mert így van az rendjén.	1 Children, be obedient to your parents in the Lord -- that is what uprightness demands.
2 »Tiszteld apádat és anyádat« ; ez az első, ígérettel egybekötött parancs:	2 The first commandment that has a promise attached to it is: Honour your father and your mother,
3 »hogy jó dolgod legyen, és hosszú életű légy a földön« .	3 and the promise is: so that you may have long life and prosper in the land.
4 És ti apák, ne ingereljétek haragra gyermekeiteket, hanem neveljétek őket fegyelemben és az Úr intelmével!	4 And parents, never drive your children to resentment but bring them up with correction and adviceinspired by the Lord.
5 Szolgák, engedelmeskedjetek test szerinti uraitoknak félelemmel és remegéssel szívetek egyszerűségében, akárcsak Krisztusnak!	5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are, according to human reckoning, your masters, with deep respectand sincere loyalty, as you are obedient to Christ:
6 Ne látszatra szolgáljatok, mintha emberek tetszését keresnétek, hanem mint Krisztus szolgái, akik szívesen teljesítik Isten akaratát!	6 not only when you are under their eye, as if you had only to please human beings, but as slaves ofChrist who wholeheartedly do the wil of God.
7 Készséges akarattal szolgáljatok, mintha az Úrnak tennétek, s nem embereknek!	7 Work wil ingly for the sake of the Lord and not for the sake of human beings.
8 Tudjátok, hogy mindenki, aki valami jót tesz, annak jutalmát megkapja majd az Úrtól, akár szolga, akár szabad.	8 Never forget that everyone, whether a slave or a free man, wil be rewarded by the Lord for whateverwork he has done wel .
9 Ti pedig, gazdák, ugyanezt tegyétek velük, hagyjátok a fenyegetőzést, hiszen tudjátok, hogy nekik is, nektek is Uratok van az égben, s nála nincs személyválogatás.	9 And those of you who are employers, treat your slaves in the same spirit; do without threats, and neverforget that they and you have the same Master in heaven and there is no favouritism with him.

15 Lábatok saruja legyen a béke evangéliumának hirdetésére való készség.	15 wearing for shoes on your feet the eagerness to spread the gospel of peace
16 Mindezekhez vegyétek a hit pajzsát, amellyel kiolthatjátok a gonosz minden tüzes nyilát.	16 and always carrying the shield of faith so that you can use it to quench the burning arrows of the EvilOne.

23 Békesség a testvéreknek, és hittel párosult szeretet az Atyaistentől és az Úr Jézus Krisztustól!	23 May God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ grant peace, love and faith to al the brothers.
