KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ismét szólt az Úr, és ezt mondta Jóbnak:	1 Stil speaking to Job, Yahweh said:
2 »Oly könnyen meghátrál-e, aki Istennel perbe szállt? Nos feleljen erre Isten vádlója!«	2 Is Yahweh's opponent going to give way? Has God's critic thought up an answer?
3 És felelt Jób az Úrnak:	3 Job replied to Yahweh:
4 »Mit feleljek én, aki könnyelműen szóltam? Kezemet a számra teszem!	4 My words have been frivolous: what can I reply? I had better lay my hand over my mouth.
5 Egyszer szóltam, bár azt is elhagytam volna! Meg másodszor, de nem teszem többé!«	5 I have spoken once, I shal not speak again; I have spoken twice, I have nothing more to say.
6 És felelt az Úr Jóbnak a fergetegből és mondta:	6 Yahweh gave Job his answer from the heart of the tempest. He said:
7 »Övezd fel derekadat, amint férfihez illik! Én kérdezlek, te meg felelj nekem!	7 Brace yourself like a fighter, I am going to ask the questions, and you are to inform me!
8 Semmivé akarod-e tenni az én igazságomat? És kárhoztatsz-e engem, hogy neked legyen igazad?	8 Do you real y want to reverse my judgement, put me in the wrong and yourself in the right?
9 Olyan-e a karod, mint az Istené? Mennydörgő hangon szólsz-e úgy, mint ő?	9 Has your arm the strength of God's, can your voice thunder as loud?
10 Akkor vegyél magadra ékességet és emelkedj föl magasra, légy dicsőséges és öltözz ragyogó szépségbe!	10 Come on, display your majesty and grandeur, robe yourself in splendour and glory.
11 Szórd szét a kevélyeket haragodban, Tekints minden kevélyre és alázd meg őket!	11 Let the fury of your anger burst forth, humble the haughty at a glance!
12 Láss meg minden gőgöst és szégyenítsd meg őket! Morzsold össze a gonoszokat helyükön!	12 At a glance, bring down al the proud, strike down the wicked where they stand.
13 Rejtsd őket mind a porba, süllyeszd orcájukat a verembe!	13 Bury the lot of them in the ground, shut them, every one, in the Dungeon.
14 Akkor én is beismerem, hogy jobbod győzelemre segít téged!	14 And I shal be the first to pay you homage, since your own right hand is strong enough to save you.
15 Lám a Behemót, amelyet teremtettem, úgy mint téged is: füvet eszik, akárcsak a szarvasmarha.	15 But look at Behemoth, my creature, just as you are! He feeds on greenstuff like the ox,
16 Erő van ágyékában, és erősség hasa izmaiban.	16 but what strength he has in his loins, what power in his stomach muscles!
17 Kiegyenesíti farkát, mintha cédrus lenne, combjainak izmai egymásba fonódnak.	17 His tail is as stiff as a cedar, the sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.
18 Csontjai, mint az érccsövek, és lábszárai, mint a vasrudak.	18 His bones are bronze tubes, his frame like forged iron.

24 Ki tudná horoggal szemtől szembe elfogni, s pecekkel átfúrni orrát?	24 Who is going to catch him by the eyes or put poles through his nose?
25 Vajon partra húzhatod-e a Leviatánt horoggal, és megkötheted-e kötéllel nyelvét?	25 Leviathan, too! Can you catch him with a fish-hook or hold his tongue down with a rope?
26 Teszel-e karikát orrába? Átfúrod-e pofáját kampóval?	26 Can you put a cane through his nostrils or pierce his jaw with a hook?
27 Vajon rimánkodik-e neked sokat, vagy szép szóval kedveskedik-e neked?	27 Will he plead lengthily with you, addressing you in diffident tones?
28 Egyezkedik-e veled, hogy szolgádul fogadd örök időkre?	28 Will he strike a bargain with you to become your slave for life?
29 Játszol-e vele, mint a kis madárral, és megkötözheted-e leányaid mulatságára?	29 Will you make a pet of him, like a bird, keep him on a lead to amuse your little girls?
30 Alkusznak-e fölötte a társak, felosztják-e a kereskedők?	30 Is he to be sold by the fishing guild and then retailed by merchants?
31 Megtöltöd-e a hálókat bőrével és a halrekeszt fejével?	31 Riddle his hide with darts? Or his head with fishing spears?
32 Emeld rá kezedet! De jegyezd meg, hogy a harc után meg nem mukkansz többé!	32 You have only to lay a finger on him never to forget the struggle or risk it again!
