Psalms 94

1 The Lord is the God to whom revenge belongeth: the God of revenge hath acted freely.	1 Θεε των εκδικησεων, Κυριε, Θεε των εκδικησεων, εμφανηθι.
2 Lift up thyself, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.	2 Υψωθητι, Κριτα της γης? αποδος ανταποδοσιν εις τους υπερηφανους.
3 How long shall sinners, O Lord: how long shall sinners glory?	3 Εως ποτε οι ασεβεις, Κυριε, εως ποτε οι ασεβεις θελουσι θριαμβευει;
4 Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?	4 Εως ποτε θελουσι προφερει και λαλει σκληρα; θελουσι καυχασθαι παντες οι εργαται της ανομιας;
5 Thy people, O Lord, they have brought low: and they have afflicted thy inheritance.	5 Τον λαον σου, Κυριε, καταθλιβουσι και την κληρονομιαν σου κακοποιουσι.
6 They have slain the widow and the stranger: and they have murdered the fatherless.	6 Την χηραν και τον ξενον φονευουσι και θανατονουσι τους ορφανους.
7 And they have said: The Lord shall not see: neither shall the God of Jacob understand.	7 Και λεγουσι, δεν θελει ιδει ο Κυριος ουδε θελει νοησει ο Θεος του Ιακωβ.
8 Understand, ye senseless among the people: and, you fools, be wise at last.	8 Εννοησατε, οι αφρονες μεταξυ του λαου? και οι μωροι, ποτε θελετε φρονιμευσει;
9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that formed the eye, doth he not consider?	9 Ο φυτευσας το ωτιον, δεν θελει ακουσει; ο πλασας τον οφθαλμον, δεν θελει ιδει;
10 He that chastiseth nations, shall he not rebuke: he that teacheth man knowledge?	10 Ο σωφρονιζων τα εθνη, δεν θελει ελεγξει; ο διδασκων τον ανθρωπον γνωσιν;
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.	11 Ο Κυριος γνωριζει τους διαλογισμους των ανθρωπων, οτι ειναι ματαιοι.
12 Blessed is the man whom thou shalt instruct, O Lord: and shalt teach him out of thy law.	12 Μακαριος ο ανθρωπος, τον οποιον σωφρονιζεις, Κυριε, και δια του νομου σου διδασκεις αυτον?
13 That thou mayst give him rest from the evil days: till a pit be dug for the wicked.	13 δια να αναπαυης αυτον απο των ημερων της συμφορας, εωσου σκαφθη λακκος εις τον ασεβη.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people: neither will he forsake his own inheritance.	14 Διοτι δεν θελει απορριψει ο Κυριος τον λαον αυτου, και την κληρονομιαν αυτου δεν θελει εγκαταλειψει.
15 Until justice be turned into judgment: and they that are near it are all the upright in heart.	15 Επειδη η κρισις θελει επιστρεψει εις την δικαιοσυνην, και θελουσιν ακολουθησει αυτην παντες οι ευθεις την καρδιαν.
16 Who shall rise up for me against the evildoers? or who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?	16 Τις θελει σηκωθη υπερ εμου κατα των πονηρευομενων; τις θελει παρασταθη υπερ εμου κατα των εργατων της ανομιας;
17 Unless the Lord had been my helper, my soul had almost dwelt in hell.	17 Εαν ο Κυριος δεν με εβοηθει, παρ' ολιγον ηθελε κατοικησει ψυχη μου εν τη σιωπη.
18 If I said: My foot is moved: thy mercy, O Lord, assisted me.	18 Οτε ελεγον, ωλισθησεν ο πους μου, το ελεος σου, Κυριε, με εβοηθει.
19 According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.	19 Εν τω πληθει των αμηχανιων της καρδιας μου, αι παρηγοριαι σου ευφραναν την ψυχην μου.
20 Doth the seat of iniquity stick to thee, who framest labour in commandment?	20 Μηπως εχει μετα σου συγκοινωνιαν ο θρονος της ανομιας, οστις μηχαναται αδικιαν αντι νομου;
21 They will hunt after the soul of the just, and will condemn innocent blood.	21 Αυτοι εφορμωσι κατα της ψυχης του δικαιου και αιμα αθωον καταδικαζουσιν.
22 But the Lord is my refuge: and my God the help of my hope.	22 Αλλ' ο Κυριος ειναι εις εμε καταφυγιον και ο Θεος μου το φρουριον της ελπιδος μου.
23 And he will render them their iniquity: and in their malice he will destroy them: the Lord our God will destroy them.	23 Και θελει επιστρεψει επ' αυτους την ανομιαν αυτων και εν τη πονηρια αυτων θελει αφανισει αυτους? Κυριος ο Θεος ημων θελει αφανισει αυτους.
