1 Cantico di Maalot di Davide. IO mi son rallegrato di ciò che mi è stato detto: Andiamo alla Casa del Signore.	1 A Canticle in steps. I have lifted up my eyes to you, who dwells in the heavens.
2 O Gerusalemme, I nostri piedi son fermi nelle tue porte.	2 Behold, as the eyes of the servants are on the hands of their masters, as the eyes of the handmaid are on the hands of her mistress, so our eyes are upon the Lord our God, until he may be merciful to us.
3 Gerusalemme, che sei edificata Come una città che è ben congiunta insieme.	3 Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us. For we have been filled with utter disdain.

7 Pace sia nelle tue fortezze, E tranquillità ne’ tuoi palazzi.
8 Per amor de’ miei fratelli e de’ miei prossimi, Io dirò ora: Pace sia in te.
9 Per amor della Casa del Signore Iddio nostro, Io procaccerò il tuo bene
