DIODATI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ALLELUIA, Beato l’uomo che teme il Signore, E si diletta sommamente ne’ suoi comandamenti.	1 Al eluia! How blessed is anyone who fears Yahweh, who delights in his commandments!
2 La sua progenie sarà possente in terra; La generazione degli uomini diritti sarà benedetta.	2 His descendants shal be powerful on earth, the race of the honest shal receive blessings:
3 Facoltà e ricchezze son nella sua casa, E la sua giustizia dimora in perpetuo.	3 Riches and wealth for his family; his uprightness stands firm for ever.
4 La luce si leva nelle tenebre a quelli che son diritti. Un tale uomo è pietoso, misericordioso, e giusto.	4 For the honest he shines as a lamp in the dark, generous, tender-hearted, and upright.
5 L’uomo da bene dona, e presta; E governa i fatti suoi con dirittura	5 Al goes wel for one who lends generously, who is honest in al his dealing;
6 Certo egli non sarà giammai smosso; Il giusto sarà in memoria perpetua.	6 for al time to come he wil not stumble, for al time to come the upright wil be remembered.
7 Egli non temerà di mal grido; Il suo cuore è fermo, egli si confida nel Signore.	7 Bad news holds no fears for him, firm is his heart, trusting in Yahweh.
8 Il suo cuore è bene appoggiato, egli non avrà paura alcuna, Finchè vegga ne’ suoi nemici ciò ch’egli desidera.	8 His heart held steady, he has no fears, til he can gloat over his enemies.
9 Egli ha sparso, egli ha donato a’ bisognosi; La sua giustizia dimora in perpetuo, Il suo corno sarà alzato in gloria.	9 To the needy he gives without stint, his uprightness stands firm for ever; his reputation is founded onstrength.
10 L’empio lo vedrà, e dispetterà; Egli digrignerà i denti, e si struggerà; Il desiderio degli empi perirà	10 The wicked are vexed at the sight, they grind their teeth and waste away. The desires of the wickedwil be frustrated.
