2 Sei stato buono, Signore, con la tua terra,hai ristabilito la sorte di Giacobbe.
2 you take away the guilt of your people, you blot out al their sin.Pause
3 Hai perdonato la colpa del tuo popolo,hai coperto ogni loro peccato.
3 You retract al your anger, you renounce the heat of your fury.
4 Hai posto fine a tutta la tua collera,ti sei distolto dalla tua ira ardente.
4 Bring us back, God our Saviour, appease your indignation against us!
5 Ritorna a noi, Dio nostra salvezza,e placa il tuo sdegno verso di noi.
5 Wil you be angry with us for ever? Wil you prolong your wrath age after age?
6 Forse per sempre sarai adirato con noi,di generazione in generazione riverserai la tua ira?
6 Wil you not give us life again, for your people to rejoice in you?
7 Non tornerai tu a ridarci la vita,perché in te gioisca il tuo popolo?
7 Show us, Lord, your faithful love, grant us your saving help.
8 Mostraci, Signore, la tua misericordiae donaci la tua salvezza.
8 I am listening. What is God's message? Yahweh's message is peace for his people, for his faithful, ifonly they renounce their folly.
9 Ascolterò che cosa dice Dio, il Signore:egli annuncia la paceper il suo popolo, per i suoi fedeli,per chi ritorna a lui con fiducia.
9 His saving help is near for those who fear him, his glory wil dwel in our land.
10 Sì, la sua salvezza è vicina a chi lo teme,perché la sua gloria abiti la nostra terra.
10 Faithful Love and Loyalty join together, Saving Justice and Peace embrace.
11 Amore e verità s’incontreranno,giustizia e pace si baceranno.
11 Loyalty wil spring up from the earth, and Justice wil lean down from heaven.
12 Verità germoglierà dalla terrae giustizia si affaccerà dal cielo.
12 Yahweh will himself give prosperity, and our soil wil yield its harvest.
13 Certo, il Signore donerà il suo benee la nostra terra darà il suo frutto;
13 Justice will walk before him, treading out a path.
14 giustizia camminerà davanti a lui:i suoi passi tracceranno il cammino.
