1 'Al maestro del coro. Canto. Salmo.' Acclamate a Dio da tutta la terra,	1 [For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,
2 cantate alla gloria del suo nome, date a lui splendida lode.	2 sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,
3 Dite a Dio: "Stupende sono le tue opere! Per la grandezza della tua potenza a te si piegano i tuoi nemici.	3 say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,
4 A te si prostri tutta la terra, a te canti inni, canti al tuo nome".	4 al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause
5 Venite e vedete le opere di Dio, mirabile nel suo agire sugli uomini.	5 Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:
6 Egli cambiò il mare in terra ferma, passarono a piedi il fiume; per questo in lui esultiamo di gioia.	6 he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,
7 Con la sua forza domina in eterno, il suo occhio scruta le nazioni; i ribelli non rialzino la fronte.	7 who rules for ever by his power; his eyes keep watch on the nations to forestal rebel ion againsthim.Pause
8 Benedite, popoli, il nostro Dio, fate risuonare la sua lode;	8 Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 è lui che salvò la nostra vita e non lasciò vacillare i nostri passi.	9 he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.
10 Dio, tu ci hai messi alla prova; ci hai passati al crogiuolo, come l'argento.	10 God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,
11 Ci hai fatti cadere in un agguato, hai messo un peso ai nostri fianchi.	11 let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,
12 Hai fatto cavalcare uomini sulle nostre teste; ci hai fatto passare per il fuoco e l'acqua, ma poi ci hai dato sollievo.	12 let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.
13 Entrerò nella tua casa con olocausti, a te scioglierò i miei voti,	13 I bring burnt offerings to your house, I fulfil to you my vows,
14 i voti pronunziati dalle mie labbra, promessi nel momento dell'angoscia.	14 the vows that rose to my lips, that I pronounced when I was in trouble.
15 Ti offrirò pingui olocausti con fragranza di montoni, immolerò a te buoi e capri.	15 I wil offer you rich burnt offerings, with the smoke of burning rams. I wil sacrifice to you bul ocks andgoats.Pause
16 Venite, ascoltate, voi tutti che temete Dio, e narrerò quanto per me ha fatto.	16 Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.
17 A lui ho rivolto il mio grido, la mia lingua cantò la sua lode.	17 To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.
18 Se nel mio cuore avessi cercato il male, il Signore non mi avrebbe ascoltato.	18 Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,
19 Ma Dio ha ascoltato, si è fatto attento alla voce della mia preghiera.	19 but in fact God did listen, attentive to the sound of my prayer.
20 Sia benedetto Dio che non ha respinto la mia preghiera, non mi ha negato la sua misericordia.	20 Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer, nor his own faithful love from me.
