1 И жили начальники народа в Иерусалиме, а прочие из народа бросили жребии, чтоб одна из десяти частей их шла на жительство в святой город Иерусалим, а девять [оставались] в [прочих] городах.	1 Now the leaders of the people took up residence in Jerusalem; so the rest of the people drew lots: oneman in ten was to come and live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the other nine were to stay in the townsoutside.
2 И благословил народ всех, которые добровольно согласились жить в Иерусалиме.	2 The people praised al those who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.
3 Вот главы страны, которые жили в Иерусалиме, --а в городах Иудеи жили, всякий в своем владении, по городам своим: Израильтяне, священники, левиты и нефинеи и сыновья рабов Соломоновых; --	3 In the towns of Judah each man lived on his own property, but these are the provincial leaders, theIsraelites, the priests, the Levites, the temple slaves and the descendants of Solomon's slaves, who made theirhomes in Jerusalem:
4 в Иерусалиме жили из сыновей Иуды и из сыновей Вениамина. Из сыновей Иуды: Афаия, сын Уззии, сын Захарии, сын Амарии, сын Сафатии, сын Малелеила, из сыновей Фареса,	4 Of the sons of Judah and the sons of Benjamin who made their homes in Jerusalem there were: Ofthe sons of Judah: Athaiah son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son ofMehalalel, of the descendants of Perez;
5 и Маасея, сын Варуха, сын Колхозея, сын Хазаии, сын Адаии, сын Иоиарива, сын Захарии, сын Шилония.	5 and Maaseiah son of Baruch, son of Col-Hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, descendant of Shelah.
6 Всех сыновей Фареса, живших в Иерусалиме, четыреста шестьдесят восемь, люди отличные.	6 The total number of the descendants of Perez living in Jerusalem was four hundred and sixty-eightoutstanding people.
7 И вот сыновья Вениамина: Саллу, сын Мешуллама, сын Иоеда, сын Федаии, сын Колаии, сын Маасеи, сын Ифиила, сын Исаии,	7 These are the sons of Benjamin: Sal u son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah,son of Maaseiah, son of Ithiel, son of Jeshaiah,
8 и за ним Габбай, Саллай--девятьсот двадцать восемь.	8 and his brothers Gabbai and Sal ai; nine hundred and twenty-eight.
9 Иоиль, сын Зихри, был начальником над ними, а Иуда, сын Сенуи, был вторым над городом.	9 Joel son of Zichri was their chief, and Judah son of Hassenuah was second in command of the city.
10 Из священников: Иедаия, сын Иоиарива, Иахин,	10 Of the priests there were Jedaiah son of Joiakim, son of
11 Сераия, сын Хелкии, сын Мешуллама, сын Садока, сын Мераиофа, сын Ахитува, начальствующий в доме Божием,	11 Seraiah, son of Hilkiah, son of Meshul am, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the chief ofthe Temple of God,
12 и братья их, отправлявшие службу в доме [Божием] --восемьсот двадцать два; и Адаия, сын Иерохама, сын Фелалии, сын Амция, сын Захарии, сын Пашхура, сын Малхии,	12 and their kinsmen who performed the Temple liturgy: eight hundred and twenty-two; Adaiah son ofJeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah,
13 и братья его, главы поколений--двести сорок два; и Амашсай, сын Азариила, сын Ахзая, сын Мешиллемофа, сын Иммера,	13 and his kinsfolk, heads of families: two hundred and forty-two; and Amashai son of Azarel, son ofAhzai, son of Meshil emoth, son of Immer,
14 и братья его, люди отличные--сто двадцать восемь. Начальником над ними был Завдиил, сын Гагедолима.	14 and his kinsfolk, outstanding people: one hundred and twenty-eight. Their chief was Zabdiel son ofHaggadol.
15 А из левитов: Шемаия, сын Хашшува, сын Азрикама, сын Хашавии, сын Вунния,	15 Of the Levites there were Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son ofBunni;
16 и Шавфай, и Иозавад, из глав левитов по внешним делам дома Божия,	16 Shabbethai and Jozabad, the levitical leaders responsible for work outside the Temple of God;
17 и Матфания, сын Михи, сын Завдия, сын Асафа, главный начинатель славословия при молитве, и Бакбукия, второй [по нем] из братьев его, и Авда, сын Шаммуя, сын Галала, сын Идифуна.	17 Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, who led the praises and intoned the thanksgivingassociated with the prayer, Bakbukiah being his junior col eague; and Obadiah son of Shammua, son of Galal,son of Jeduthun.
18 Всех левитов во святом городе двести восемьдесят четыре.	18 The total number of Levites in the holy city was two hundred and eighty-four.
19 А привратники: Аккув, Талмон и братья их, содержавшие стражу у ворот--сто семьдесят два.	19 The gatekeepers: Akkub, Talmon and their kinsmen, who kept watch at the gates: one hundred andseventy-two.
20 Прочие Израильтяне, священники, левиты [жили] по всем городам Иудеи, каждый в своем уделе.	20 The rest of Israel, including the priests and Levites, made their homes throughout the towns ofJudah, each man on his own inheritance,
21 А нефинеи жили в Офеле; над нефинеями Циха и Гишфа.	21 The temple slaves lived on Ophel; Ziha and Gishpa were in charge of the temple slaves.
22 Начальником над левитами в Иерусалиме был Уззий, сын Вания, сын Хашавии, сын Матфании, сын Михи, из сыновей Асафовых, которые были певцами при служении в доме Божием,	22 The official in charge of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son ofMattaniah, son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, who led the singing in the liturgy of the Temple of God;
23 потому что от царя [было] о них [особое] повеление, и назначено было на каждый день для певцов определенное содержание.	23 for the singers were under royal orders, with regulations laying down what was required of them dayby day.
24 И Петахия, сын Мешезавела, из сыновей Зары, сына Иуды, был доверенным от царя по всяким делам, [касающимся] до народа.	24 Petahiah son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah son of Judah, was the king's minister for almatters connected with the people.
25 Из [живших] же в селах, на полях своих, сыновья Иуды жили в Кириаф-Арбе и зависящих от нее городах, в Дивоне и зависящих от него городах, в Иекавцеиле и селах его,	25 and in the vil ages near their lands. Some of the sons of Judah made their homes in Kiriath-Arba andits dependencies, Dibon and its dependencies, Jekabzeel and its dependencies,
26 в Иешуе, в Моладе и в Беф-Палете,	26 Jeshua, Moladah, Beth-Pelet,
27 в Хацар-Шуале, в Вирсавии и зависящих от нее городах,	27 Hazar-Shual, Beersheba and its dependencies,
28 в Секелаге, в Мехоне и зависящих от нее городах,	28 Ziklag, Meconah and its dependencies,
29 в Ен-Риммоне, в Цоре и в Иармуфе,	29 En-Rimmon, Zorah, Jarmuth,
30 в Заноахе, Одолламе и селах их, в Лахисе и на полях его, в Азеке и зависящих от нее городах. Они расположились от Вирсавии и до долины Енномовой.	30 Zanoah, Adullam and their vil ages, Lachish and its lands, and Azekah and its dependencies; thus,they settled from Beersheba as far as the Val ey of Hinnom.
31 Сыновья Вениаминовы, [начиная] от Гевы, в Михмасе, Гае, в Вефиле и зависящих от него городах,	31 And some Benjaminites made their homes in Geba, Michmash, Aija, Bethel and its dependencies,
32 в Анафофе, Нове, Анании,	32 Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
33 Гацоре, Раме, Гиффаиме,	33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
34 Хадиде, Цевоиме, Неваллате,	34 Hadid, Zeboim, Nebal at,
35 Лоде, Оно, в долине Харашиме.	35 Lod, Ono and the Valley of Craftsmen.
36 И левиты имели жилища свои в участках Иуды и Вениамина.	36 Some levitical groups lived in Judah, some in Benjamin.
