1 El Señor dijo a Moisés y a Aarón:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, and Aaron, saying:
2 Realiza un censo especial de los levitas hijos de Quehat, por clanes y por familias.	2 Take the sum of the sons of Caath from the midst of the Levites, by their houses and families.
3 Registra a todos los que puedan entrar en servicio, para ejercer funciones en la Carpa del Encuentro, es decir, a los que tengan entre treinta y cincuenta años.	3 From thirty years old and upward, to fifty years old, of all that go in to stand and to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
4 Los quehatitas serán los responsables, en la Carpa del Encuentro, de los objetos más santos.	4 This is the service of the sons of Caath:
5 Cuando haya que levantar campamento, Aarón y sus hijos irán a descolgar el velo protector y cubrirán con él el Arca del Testimonio.	5 When the camp is to set forward, Aaron and his sons shall go into the tabernacle of the covenant, and the holy of holies, and shall take down the veil that hangeth before the door, and shall wrap up the ark of the testimony in it,
6 Sobre él pondrán una funda de cuero fino, y encima extenderán una tela, toda de púrpura violeta. Luego le ajustarán las andas.	6 And shall cover it again with a cover of violet skins, and shall spread over it a cloth all of violet, and shall put in the bars.
7 En seguida extenderán una tela de púrpura violeta sobre la mesa de los panes de la ofrenda, y depositarán sobre ella las fuentes, los vasos, las tazas y los jarros para la libación. El pan de la ofrenda perpetua estará sobre la mesa.	7 They shall wrap up also the table of proposition in a cloth of violet, and shall put with it the censers and little mortars, the cups and bowls to pour out the libations: the leaves shall be always on it:
8 Encima de todo esto, extenderán una tela de púrpura escarlata y la envolverán con una funda de cuero fino. Luego le ajustarán las andas.	8 And they shall spread over it a cloth of scarlet, which again they shall cover with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.
9 Asimismo, tomarán una tela de púrpura violeta y cubrirán el candelabro, sus lámparas, sus tenazas, sus platillos, y todas las vasijas de aceite que se emplean para el servicio del candelabro.	9 They shall take also a cloth of violet wherewith they shall cover the candlestick with the lamps and tongs thereof and the snuffers and all the oil vessels, which are necessary for the dressing of the lamps :
10 Lo pondrán, junto con todos sus enseres, en una funda de cuero fino, y después lo depositarán sobre angarillas.	10 And over all they shall put a cover of violet skins and put in the bars.
11 Luego extenderán una tela de púrpura violeta sobre el altar de oro, lo cubrirán con una funda de cuero fino y le ajustarán las andas.	11 And they shall wrap up the golden altar also in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.
12 Recogerán todos los utensilios que se emplean en el culto del Santuario, les pondrán una tela de púrpura violeta, los cubrirán con una funda de cuero fino, y finalmente los depositarán sobre unas angarillas.	12 All the vessels wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, they shall wrap up in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.
13 Después de haber limpiado las cenizas del altar, extenderán sobre él una tela de púrpura escarlata	13 They shall cleanse the altar also from the ashes, and shall wrap it up in a purple cloth,
14 y pondrán encima todos los enseres que se usan para su servicio: los braseros, los tenedores, las palas y los aspersorios, o sea, todos los enseres del altar. Luego extenderán sobre él una funda de cuero fino y le ajustarán las andas.	14 And shall put it with all the vessels that they use in the ministry thereof, that is to say, firepans, fleshhooks and forks, pothooks and shovels. They shall cover all the vessels of the altar together with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.
15 Y al levantarse el campamento, una vez que Aarón y sus hijos hayan terminado de cubrir los objetos sagrados y todos sus accesorios, vendrán los hijos de Quehat para transportarlos, pero no tocarán los objetos sagrados, porque morirían. Estos son los objetos de la Carpa del Encuentro, que deberán ser transportados por los hijos de Quehat.	15 And when Aaron and his sons have wrapped up the sanctuary and the vessels thereof at the removing of the camp, then shall the sons of Caath enter in to carry the things wrapped up: and they shall not touch the vessels of the sanctuary, lest they die. These are the burdens of the sons of Caath: in the tabernacle of the covenant:
16 El sacerdote Eleazar, hijo de Aarón, será el encargado del aceite para iluminación, del incienso aromático, de la ofrenda perpetua y del óleo de la unción; ejercerá la supervisión de toda la Morada, con todos los objetos sagrados y todos los utensilios que hay en ella.	16 And over them shall be Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, to whose charge pertaineth the oil to dress the lamps, and the sweet incense, and the sacrifice, that is always offered, and the oil of unction, and whatsoever pertaineth to the service of the tabernacle, and of all the vessels that are in the sanctuary.
17 El Señor dijo a Moisés y a Aarón:	17 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
18 No permitan que el grupo de los clanes de los quehatitas sea eliminado del número de los levitas.	18 Destroy not the people of Caath from the midst of the Levites:
19 Por eso, para que puedan vivir y no mueran cuando se acerquen a los objetos más santos, procedan con los quehatitas de la siguiente manera: vendrán Aarón y sus hijos, y asignarán a cada uno de ellos su oficio y su carga;	19 But do this to them, that they may live, and not die, by touching the holies of holies. Aaron and his sons shall go in, and they shall appoint every man his work, and shall divide the burdens that every man is to carry.
20 pero los quehatitas no entrarán a ver los objetos sagrados ni siguiera un momento, no sea que mueran.	20 Let not others by any curiosity see the things that are in the sanctuary before they be wrapped up, otherwise they shall die.
21 Luego el Señor dijo a Moisés:	21 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
22 Realiza también un censo de los gersonitas, por clanes y por familias.	22 Take the sum of the soils of Gerson also by their houses and families and kindreds.
23 Registra a todos los que puedan entrar en servicio para ejercer funciones en la Carpa del Encuentro, es decir, a los que tengan entre treinta y cincuenta años.	23 From thirty Sears old and upward, unto fifty years old. Number them all that go in and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
24 Los clanes de los gersonitas serán los responsables de los siguientes oficios y cargas:	24 This is the office of the family of the Gersonites :
25 ellos llevarán los tapices de la Morada, la Carpa del Encuentro y su tolda, el cortinado que está a la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro;	25 To carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the roof of the covenant, the other covering, and the violet covering over all, and the hanging that hangeth in the entry of the tabernacle of the covenant,
26 las cortinas del atrio, la cortina de la entrada del atrio que rodea la Morada y el altar, y también sus cuerdas y todos los accesorios que se emplean en su servicio: ellos se encargarán de hacer todo lo necesario.	26 The curtains of the court, and the veil in the entry that is before the tabernacle. All things that pertain to the altar, the cords and the vessels of the ministry,
27 Los gersonitas harán su trabajo bajo las órdenes de Aarón y de sus hijos, tanto lo que se refiere al transporte cuanto al servicio: ustedes los harán responsables del cuidado de toda su carga.	27 The sons of Gerson shall carry, by the commandment of Aaron and his sons: and each man shall know to what burden he must be assigned.
28 Estas son las obligaciones de los clanes de los gersonitas, respecto de la Carpa del Encuentro. Las cumplirán bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón.	28 This is the service of the family of the Gersonites in the tabernacle of the covenant, and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29 En cuanto a los meraritas, deberás registrar, por clanes y por familias,	29 Thou shalt reckon up the sons of Merari also by the families and houses of their fathers,
30 a todos los que puedan entrar en servicio para ejercer funciones en la Carpa del Encuentro, es decir, a los que tengan entre treinta y cincuenta años.	30 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the office of their ministry, and to the service of the covenant of the testimony.
31 Ellos tendrán a su cargo, en la Carpa del Encuentro, todos los oficios relacionados con el traslado de los siguientes objetos: los bastidores de la Morada, con sus travesaños, columnas y bases;	31 These are their burdens: They shall carry the boards of the tabernacle and the bars thereof, the pillars and their sockets,
32 las columnas que rodean el atrio, con sus bases, estacas y cuerdas, con todos sus accesorios y todo su equipamiento. Además, deberán tener un inventario de los objetos que tienen la obligación de transportar.	32 The pillars also of the court round about, with their sockets and pins and cords. They shall receive by account all the vessels and furniture, and so shall carry them.
33 Estos son los oficios de los clanes de los meraritas, con todas las obligaciones que deberán cumplir en la Carpa del Encuentro, bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón.	33 This is the office of the family of the Merarites, and their ministry in the tabernacle of the covenant: and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
34 De esta manera, Moisés, Aarón y los jefes de la comunidad hicieron el censo de los quehatitas, por clanes y por familias,	34 So Moses and Aaron and the princes of the synagogue reckoned up the sons of Caath, by their kindreds and the houses of their fathers,
35 registrando a todos los que podían entrar en servicio para ejercer funciones en la Carpa del Encuentro, es decir, a los que tenían entre treinta y cincuenta años.	35 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the ministry of the tabernacle of the covenant:
36 Los registrados por clanes fueron en total 2.750 hombres.	36 And they were found two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 Estos fueron los inscritos en el registro de los clanes de los quehatitas, todos los que prestaban servicio en la Carpa del Encuentro. Moisés y Aarón los registraron, según la orden que el Señor había dado por medio de Moisés.	37 This is the number of the people of Caath that go in to the tabernacle of the covenant: these did Moses and Aaron number according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
38 Los inscritos en el registro de los gersonitas, por clanes y por familias,	38 The sons of Gerson also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
39 todos los que podían entrar en servicio para ejercer funciones en el Carpa del Encuentro, es decir, los que tenían entre treinta y cincuenta años,	39 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant:
40 fueron en total 2.630 hombres.	40 And they were found two thousand six hundred and thirty.
41 Estos fueron los registrados en el censo de los clanes de los gersonitas, todos los que prestaban servicio en la Carpa del Encuentro, y que Moisés y Aarón registraron por orden del Señor.	41 This is the people of the Gersonites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord.
42 Los inscritos en el registro de los meraritas, por clanes y por familias,	42 The sons of Merari also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
43 todos los que podían entrar en servicio para ejercer funciones en la Carpa del Encuentro, es decir, los que tenían entre treinta y cincuenta años,	43 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to fulfil the rites of the tabernacle of the covenant:
44 fueron en total 3.200 hombres.	44 And they were found three thousand two hundred.
45 Estos fueron los inscritos en el registro de los clanes de los meraritas, que Moisés y Aarón registraron según la orden que el Señor había dado por medio de Moisés.	45 This is the number of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron reckoned up according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
46 Todos los levitas que Moisés, Aarón y los jefes de Israel registraron por clanes y por familias	46 All that were reckoned up of the Levites, and whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel took by name, by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
47 –los que debían prestar servicios en el culto y traslado de la Carpa del Encuentro, es decir, los que tenían entre treinta y cincuenta años–	47 From thirty years old and upward, until fifty years old, that go into the ministry of the tabernacle, and to carry the burdens,
48 fueron 8.580 hombres.	48 Were in all eight thousand five hundred and eighty.
49 A cada uno le fue asignada una obligación en el servicio y el traslado de la Carpa, según la orden del Señor por medio de Moisés; y cada uno fue registrado como el Señor lo había ordenado a Moisés.	49 Moses reckoned them up according to the word of the Lord, every one according to their office and burdens, as the Lord had commanded him.
