Ezequiel 30

1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 Profetiza, hijo de hombre, y di: Así habla el Señor: Giman, diciendo: «¡Ay! ¡Qué día!».	2 “Son of man, prophesy and say: Thus says the Lord God: Wail: ‘Woe, woe to the day!’
3 Porque se acerca un día, se acerca el día del Señor. Será un día cargado de nubarrones, el tiempo de las naciones.	3 For the day is near, and the day of the Lord is approaching! It is a day of gloom; it will be the time of the Gentiles.
4 La espada penetrará en Egipto, Cus se retorcerá de espanto, cuando caigan las víctimas en Egipto, cuando sean arrebatadas sus riquezas y derruidos sus cimientos.	4 And the sword will come to Egypt. And there will be dread in Ethiopia, when the wounded will have fallen in Egypt, and its multitude will have been taken away, and its foundations will have been destroyed.
5 Cus, Put y Lud, toda esa mezcla de pueblos, y los libios, y los hijos del país de la Alianza, caerán con ellos bajo la espada.	5 Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the rest of the common people, and Chub, and the sons of the land of the covenant, will fall with them by the sword.
6 Así habla el Señor: Caerán los que sostienen a Egipto. se derrumbará su arrogante poderío: desde Migdol hasta Siene, todos caerán bajo la espada –oráculo del Señor–.	6 Thus says the Lord God: And those who prop up Egypt will fall, and the arrogance of its reign will be brought down. They will fall in it by the sword, before the tower of Syene, says the Lord, the God of hosts.
7 Serán los más desolados entre los países desolados y sus ciudades estarán entre las ciudades en ruinas. Y sabrán que yo soy el Señor,	7 And they will be scattered into the midst of desolate lands, and its cities will be in the midst of cities that have been deserted.
8 cuando prenda fuego a Egipto y sean destrozados todos los que lo apoyan.	8 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have brought a fire into Egypt, and when all its helpers will have been worn away.
9 Aquel día, mensajeros enviados por mí partirán en barco, para dar la alarma en Cus, que vive confiada. Ellos se estremecerán de espanto en el día de Egipto, que ya está por llegar.	9 In that day, messengers will go forth from my face in Greek warships, in order to crush the confidence of Ethiopia. And there will be dread among them in the day of Egypt; for without doubt, it will happen.
10 Así habla el Señor: Yo haré cesar el tumulto de Egipto por la mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia,	10 Thus says the Lord God: By the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, I will cause the multitude of Egypt to cease.
11 El y su pueblo, la más feroz de las naciones, serán llevados para arrasar el país.	11 He, and his people with him, the strongest of the Gentiles, will be brought forth in order to destroy the land. And they will draw their swords over Egypt. And they will fill the land with the slain.
12 Convertiré en tierra seca los canales del Nilo y venderé el país a gente malvada. Devastaré el país y todo lo que hay en él por manos de extranjeros. Yo, el Señor, he hablado.	12 And I will cause the channels of the rivers to dry up. And I will deliver the land into the hand of the most wicked. And by the hands of foreigners, I will utterly destroy the land and its plenitude. I, the Lord, have spoken.
13 Así habla el Señor: Haré desaparecer los ídolos y acabaré con los falsos dioses de Nof. No habrá más un príncipe en Egipto y haré cundir el terror en ese país.	13 Thus says the Lord God: And I will destroy the graven images, and I will cause the idols of Memphis to cease. And there will no longer be a commander of the land of Egypt. And I will send terror upon the land of Egypt.
14 Devastaré a Patrós, incendiaré a Soán e infligiré justos castigos a No.	14 And I will destroy the land of Pathros, and I will send a fire upon Tahpanhes, and I will execute judgments in Alexandria.
15 Derramaré mi furor en Sin –la plaza fuerte de Egipto– y extirparé el tumulto de No.	15 And I will pour out my indignation upon Pelusium, the strength of Egypt, and I will kill the multitude of Alexandria.
16 Prenderé fuego a Egipto, Sin se retorcerá de dolor, se abrirán brechas en No y los adversarios de No la ocuparán en pleno día.	16 And I will send a fire upon Egypt. Pelusium will be in pain, like a woman giving birth. And Alexandria will be utterly destroyed. And in Memphis, there will be anguish every day.
17 Los jóvenes de On y de Pi Béset caerán bajo la espada y esas mismas ciudades irán al cautiverio.	17 The young men of Heliopolis and Pibeseth will fall by the sword, and the young women will be led into captivity.
18 En Tafnis el día de oscurecerá, cuando yo quiebre allí el cetro de Egipto y se acabe su arrogante poderío. A ella la cubrirá un nubarrón y sus hijas irán al cautiverio.	18 And in Tahpanhes, the day will grow black, when, in that place, I will break the scepters of Egypt. And the arrogance of her authority will fail within her; a gloom will cover her. Then her daughters will be led into captivity.
19 Infligiré justos castigos a Egipto, y se sabrá que yo soy el Señor.	19 And I will execute judgments in Egypt. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
20 En el año undécimo, el día siete del primer mes, la palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:	20 And it happened that, in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh of the month, the word of the Lord came, me, saying:
21 Hijo de hombre, yo quiebro el brazo del Faraón, rey de Egipto; y nadie lo cura dándole medicamentos y aplicándole un vendaje, para que se fortalezca y pueda empuñar la espada.	21 “Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. And behold, it has not been wrapped, so that it might be restored to health; it has not been bound with cloths, or bandaged with linen, so that, having recovered strength, it would be able to hold the sword.
22 Por eso, así habla el Señor: Aquí estoy contra el Faraón, rey de Egipto: yo quebraré sus dos brazos –el sano y el roto– y haré caer la espada de su mano.	22 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and I will shatter his strong arm, which has already been broken. And I will cast the sword away from his hand.
23 Dispersaré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los diseminaré entre los países.	23 And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and I will scatter them among the lands.
24 Pero fortaleceré los brazos del rey de Babilonia y pondré mi espada en su mano; y quebraré los brazos del Faraón, que lanzará gemidos delante de él como un herido de muerte.	24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon. And I will put my sword into his hand. And I will break the arms of Pharaoh. And they will groan acutely, when they are slain before his face.
25 Fortaleceré los brazos del rey de babilonia, mientras que al Faraón se le caerán los brazos. Y cuando ponga mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia y él la extienda contra el país de Egipto, se sabrá que yo soy el Señor.	25 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon. And the arms of Pharaoh will fall. And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I will have given my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and when he will have extended it over the land of Egypt.
26 Dispersaré a los egipcios entre las naciones y los diseminaré por los países. Entonces se sabrá que yo soy el Señor.	26 And I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and I will scatter them among the lands. And they shall know that I am the Lord.”
