1 Cette parole de Yahvé me fut adressée:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 “Fils d’homme, prophétise contre les bergers d’Israël, prophétise! Tu diras aux bergers: Voici une parole de Yahvé: Malheur aux bergers d’Israël: des bergers qui prennent soin d’eux-mêmes! N’est-ce pas du troupeau que le berger prend soin?	2 'Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them, "Shepherds, theLord Yahweh says this: Disaster is in store for the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Are not shepherdsmeant to feed a flock?
3 Vous vous nourrissez du lait, vous vous habillez de la laine, vous sacrifiez les bêtes grasses, mais vous ne prenez pas soin des brebis.	3 Yet you have fed on milk, you have dressed yourselves in wool, you have sacrificed the fattest sheep,but failed to feed the flock.
4 Vous n’avez pas raffermi la brebis épuisée, vous n’avez pas soigné celle qui était malade, ni pansé celle qui était blessée, vous n’avez pas ramené la brebis égarée, et pas même cherché celle qui était perdue. Quant à celles qui étaient fortes, vous les avez menées par la terreur.	4 You have failed to make weak sheep strong, or to care for the sick ones, or bandage the injured ones.You have failed to bring back strays or look for the lost. On the contrary, you have ruled them cruel y andharshly.
5 Faute de bergers, mes brebis se sont dispersées: une proie toute prête pour les bêtes sauvages.	5 For lack of a shepherd they have been scattered, to become the prey of al the wild animals; they havebeen scattered.
6 Mon troupeau s’est dispersé dans la montagne et sur les collines; il reste dispersé à travers tout le pays, et personne ne s’inquiète ou part à sa recherche.	6 My flock is astray on every mountain and on every high hil ; my flock has been scattered al over theworld; no one bothers about them and no one looks for them.
7 C’est pourquoi, bergers, écoutez la parole de Yahvé:	7 "Very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
8 Aussi vrai que je suis vivant, dit Yahvé, si mes brebis ont été livrées aux pillards, si elles sont devenues la proie des bêtes sauvages, la faute est aux bergers. Mes bergers n’ont pas pris soin de mes brebis, c’est d’eux-mêmes qu’ils prenaient soin, et non pas du troupeau.	8 As I live, I swear it -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- since my flock has been pil aged and for lack of ashepherd is now the prey of every wild animal, since my shepherds have ceased to bother about my flock, sincemy shepherds feed themselves rather than my flock,
9 C’est pourquoi, bergers, ( )	9 very wel , shepherds, hear the word of Yahweh:
10 Yahvé a parlé: Je vais droit aux bergers pour leur reprendre mon troupeau. Ils ne seront plus les bergers du troupeau, des bergers qui prennent soin d’eux-mêmes. J’arracherai mes brebis de leur bouche et elles ne seront plus leur proie.	10 The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against the shepherds. I shall take my flock out of theircharge and henceforth not al ow them to feed my flock. And the shepherds will stop feeding themselves,because I shal rescue my sheep from their mouths to stop them from being food for them.
11 Car voici ce que dit Yahvé: Me voici, je suis là! Je viens rechercher les brebis et c’est moi qui m’en occuperai,	11 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I myself shal take care of my flock and look after it.
12 comme le berger s’occupe de son troupeau le jour où il se trouve au milieu de ses brebis en liberté. Moi aussi je m’occuperai de mes brebis et je les tirerai de tous les lieux où elles ont été dispersées en un jour de brouillard et de sombres nuages.	12 As a shepherd looks after his flock when he is with his scattered sheep, so shal I look after mysheep. I shal rescue them from wherever they have been scattered on the day of clouds and darkness.
13 Je les ferai sortir du milieu des autres peuples, je les rassemblerai des différents pays et je les conduirai sur leur propre terre. Je les ferai brouter sur les montagnes d’Israël, dans les vallées et dans tous les pâturages du pays.	13 I shal bring them back from the peoples where they are; I shal gather them back from the countriesand bring them back to their own land. I shall pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in althe inhabited parts of the country.
14 Oui, je les ferai brouter dans un bon pâturage, sur les hautes montagnes d’Israël; elles reposeront dans une bonne bergerie et se nourriront dans les grasses prairies des montagnes d’Israël.	14 I shal feed them in good pasturage; the highest mountains of Israel will be their grazing ground.There they will rest in good grazing grounds; they will browse in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel.
15 C’est moi qui prendrai soin de mes brebis, c’est moi qui les ferai reposer - parole de Yahvé.	15 I myself shal pasture my sheep, I myself shal give them rest -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
16 Je chercherai celle qui est perdue, je ramènerai celle qui est égarée, je panserai celle qui est blessée, je raffermirai celle qui est malade, je veillerai sur celle qui est forte; je prendrai soin d’elles avec justice.	16 I shal look for the lost one, bring back the stray, bandage the injured and make the sick strong. Ishall watch over the fat and healthy. I shall be a true shepherd to them.
17 Et vous, mes brebis, voici ce que vous dit Yahvé: Je vais juger entre brebis et brebis, entre béliers et boucs.	17 "As for you, my sheep, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shall judge between sheep and sheep, betweenrams and he-goats.
18 Quoi, cela ne vous suffisait pas de paître dans un bon pâturage? Pourquoi avez-vous piétiné le reste de l’herbe? Vous buviez une eau claire, pourquoi avez-vous troublé le reste avec vos pieds?	18 Not content to drink the clearest of the water, you foul the rest with your feet.
19 Mes brebis doivent-elles brouter ce que vous avez piétiné et boire ce que vous avez troublé de vos pieds?	19 And my sheep must graze on what your feet have trampled and drink what your feet have fouled.
20 C’est pourquoi, voici ce que vous dit Yahvé: Je vais faire le jugement de la brebis grasse et de la brebis maigre.	20 Very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I myself shall judge between the fat sheep and the thin sheep.
21 Vous avez bousculé des côtes et de l’épaule, vous avez frappé de la corne tous les plus faibles, jusqu’à ce que vous les ayez chassés dehors.	21 Since you have jostled with flank and shoulder and butted al the ailing sheep with your horns, untilyou have scattered them outside,
22 C’est pourquoi je vais sauver mes brebis, les mettre à l’abri des pillards, et je jugerai entre brebis et brebis.	22 I shal come and save my sheep and stop them from being victimised. I shal judge between sheepand sheep.
23 J’appellerai à leur tête un berger unique pour prendre soin d’elles, mon serviteur David. Lui sera leur berger.	23 "I shal raise up one shepherd, my servant David, and put him in charge of them to pasture them; hewil pasture them and be their shepherd.
24 Moi, Yahvé, je serai leur Dieu, et mon serviteur David sera prince au milieu d’elles ( ).	24 I, Yahweh, shal be their God, and my servant David wil be ruler among them. I, Yahweh, havespoken.
25 Je conclurai avec elles une alliance de paix, je ferai disparaître du pays les bêtes sauvages; mes brebis pourront rester dans le désert et dormir dans les forêts.	25 I shal make a covenant of peace with them; I shal rid the country of wild animals. They wil be ableto live secure in the desert and go to sleep in the woods.
26 Je les installerai tout autour de ma colline et je ferai tomber la pluie en son temps; ce sera une pluie de bénédiction.	26 I shal settle them round my hil ; I shall send rain at the proper time; it wil be a rain of blessings.
27 L’arbre des champs donnera son fruit et la terre sa récolte; mon peuple sera en sécurité sur sa terre, car j’aurai brisé leur joug, je les aurai délivrés des mains de leurs oppresseurs. Alors ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.	27 The trees of the countryside wil yield their fruit and the soil wil yield its produce; they will be secureon their soil. And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from theclutches of their slave-masters.
28 Ils ne seront plus la proie des nations, les bêtes sauvages ne les dévoreront plus, mais ils habiteront en paix et personne ne viendra les inquiéter.	28 No more wil they be a prey to the nations, no more wil the wild animals of the country devour them.They wil live secure, with no one to frighten them.
29 Je ferai que la terre produise abondamment: ils ne connaîtront plus la famine, ils ne connaîtront plus cette humiliation devant les autres peuples.	29 I shal make splendid vegetation grow for them; no more wil they suffer from famine in the country;no more will they have to bear the insults of other nations.
30 Car je suis Yahvé leur Dieu, et ils sont Israël, mon peuple - parole de Yahvé.	30 So they wil know that I, their God, am with them and that they, the House of Israel, are my people --declares the Lord Yahweh.
31 Vous êtes mon troupeau, les brebis de mon pâturage, et moi je suis votre Dieu - parole de Yahvé.	31 And you, my sheep, are the flock of my human pasture, and I am your God -- declares the LordYahweh." '
