1 Le huitième jour, Moïse appela Aaron et ses fils, ainsi que les anciens d’Israël.	1 Then, the eighth day having arrived, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and those greater by birth from Israel, and he said to Aaron:
2 Il dit à Aaron: “Prends un jeune veau pour le sacrifice pour le péché, et un bélier pour l’holocauste, tous les deux sans défaut; tu les offriras devant Yahvé.	2 “Take a calf for sin from the herd, and a ram as a holocaust, both immaculate, and offer them in the sight of the Lord.
3 Puis tu diras aux Israélites: Prenez un bouc pour le sacrifice pour le péché; un veau et un agneau âgés d’un an, sans défaut, pour l’holocauste;	3 And to the sons of Israel, you shall say: ‘Take a he-goat for sin, and a calf as well as a lamb, both one-year-old and without blemish, as a holocaust.
4 un bœuf et un bélier qui seront immolés devant Yahvé pour le sacrifice de communion, et enfin une offrande pétrie à l’huile; car aujourd’hui Yahvé se manifestera devant vous.”	4 Take also an ox and a ram for peace offerings. And immolate them before the Lord, offering with the sacrifice of each one fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil. For today the Lord will appear to you.’ ”
5 Ils apportèrent devant la Tente de Réunion tout ce que Moïse avait commandé, et toute la communauté s’approcha et se tint devant Yahvé.	5 And so they brought everything that Moses had ordered before the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood together,
6 Moïse dit alors: “Voici ce que Yahvé vous demande de faire si vous voulez que la Gloire de Yahvé vous apparaisse.”	6 Moses said: “This is the word, which the Lord has instructed. Accomplish it, and his glory will appear to you.”
7 Puis Moïse dit à Aaron: “Approche-toi de l’autel, offre ton sacrifice pour le péché et ton holocauste de façon à faire l’expiation pour toi et pour le peuple, présente l’offrande du peuple et fais l’expiation pour lui, comme Yahvé l’a ordonné.”	7 And he said to Aaron: “Approach toward the altar, and immolate on behalf of your sin. Offer the holocaust, and pray for yourself and for the people. And when you have slain the victim for the people, pray for them, just as the Lord has instructed.”
8 Aaron s’approcha donc de l’autel, il égorgea le veau du sacrifice pour son péché personnel.	8 And immediately Aaron, approaching toward the altar, immolated the calf for his sin.
9 Les fils d’Aaron lui présentèrent le sang, il y trempa son doigt, en mit sur les cornes de l’autel et en versa le reste au pied de l’autel.	9 And his sons brought its blood to him, and dipping his finger in it, he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured out the remainder at its base.
10 Puis il fit fumer sur l’autel la graisse, les rognons et l’enveloppe du foie de la victime pour le péché, comme Yahvé avait ordonné de le faire.	10 And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the mesh of the liver, which are for sin, he burned upon the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
11 Mais la chair et la peau, il les brûla hors du camp.	11 Yet truly, the flesh and its skins he burned with fire beyond the camp.
12 Ensuite il égorgea la victime pour l’holocauste, et les fils d’Aaron lui présentèrent le sang qu’il répandit sur l’autel et autour.	12 He also immolated the victim of holocaust. And his sons brought its blood to him, which he poured out all around the altar.
13 Ils lui présentèrent l’holocauste coupé en morceaux avec la tête, et il les fit fumer sur l’autel.	13 And when the victim itself was cut into pieces, they brought him the head and each of the limbs, all of which he burned with fire upon the altar,
14 Il lava l’intestin et les pattes et les fit fumer sur l’autel, par-dessus l’holocauste.	14 having first washed the intestines and the feet with water.
15 Il présenta alors l’offrande pour le peuple. Il prit le bouc du sacrifice pour le péché du peuple, il l’égorgea et fit l’expiation comme il l’avait fait pour le premier sacrifice.	15 And making an offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he-goat. And expiating the altar,
16 Il offrit ensuite l’holocauste et le sacrifia selon le même rite.	16 he accomplished the holocaust,
17 Il présenta l’offrande, en prit une poignée et la brûla sur l’autel, par-dessus l’holocauste du matin.	17 adding to it the sacrifice of the libations, which are to be offered together, and burning them upon the altar, separately from the ceremonies of the morning holocaust.
18 Ensuite il égorgea le taureau et le bélier, en sacrifice de communion pour le peuple. Les fils d’Aaron lui présentèrent le sang qu’il versa sur l’autel et autour.	18 He also immolated the ox, as well as the ram, as peace offerings for the people. And his sons brought him the blood, which he poured out upon the altar all around.
19 Quant à la graisse du taureau et du bélier, la queue, la graisse qui enveloppe les entrailles, les rognons et l’enveloppe du foie,	19 Then the fat of the ox, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys with their fat, and the mesh of the liver,
20 avec la graisse de la poitrine, il plaça le tout sur l’autel et le fit brûler.	20 they placed upon the breasts. And when the fat had been burned upon the altar,
21 Aaron balança ensuite devant Yahvé les poitrines et la cuisse droite, en offrande balancée, selon l’ordre de Moïse.	21 Aaron separated their breasts and the right shoulders, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord, as Moses had instructed.
22 Aaron leva les mains vers le peuple et le bénit, puis il descendit, après avoir offert le sacrifice pour le péché, l’holocauste et le sacrifice de communion.	22 And extending his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so, the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being completed, he descended.
23 Cela fait, Moïse et Aaron entrèrent dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, puis ils en ressortirent pour bénir le peuple. Alors la Gloire de Yahvé apparut à tout le peuple:	23 Then Moses and Aaron entered the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came out and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to the entire multitude.
24 un feu sortit de devant Yahvé, qui dévora sur l’autel l’holocauste et les graisses. À cette vue, tout le peuple poussa des cris de joie et se prosterna face contre terre.	24 And, behold, a fire from the Lord devoured the holocaust, and the fat which was on the altar. When the crowd had seen this, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.
