Michea 3

1 - E dissi: «Ascoltate, o principi di Giacobbe, o duci della casa d'Israele: Non spetta a voi forse la cura della giustizia?	1 And I said: Hear, you leaders of Jacob, rulers of the house of Israel! Is it not your duty to know what is right,
2 Voi che avete in odio il bene e amate il male, che strappate violentemente l'altrui pelle di dosso e la carne dalle ossa?	2 you who hate what is good, and love evil? You who tear their skin from them, and their flesh from their bones!
3 Voi siete quelli che hanno divorato la carne del mio popolo, dopo avergli strappata la pelle, stritolate le ossa e messe a pezzi quasi in una caldaia, come carne entro alla pentola.	3 They eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from them, and break their bones. They chop them in pieces like flesh in a kettle, and like meat in a caldron.
4 Allora si raccomanderanno al Signore, ma io non li esaudirò, io nasconderò la mia faccia in quel tempo, come meritano le loro cattive azioni.	4 When they cry to the LORD, he shall not answer them; Rather shall he hide his face from them at that time, because of the evil they have done.
5 Queste cose dice il Signore a carico dei profeti che seducono il mio popolo, i quali, avendo qualche cosa da rodere pei loro denti, predicano la pace, e se uno non mette loro in bocca alcunchè gli dichiarano esecrabile guerra.	5 Thus says the LORD regarding the prophets who lead my people astray; Who, when their teeth have something to bite, announce peace, But when one fails to put something in their mouth, proclaim war against him.
6 Per questo, in cambio di visione avrete notte, e tenebre invece di divinazione; il sole tramonterà pei profeti, e il giorno si velerà di nero sopra di loro.	6 Therefore you shall have night, not vision, darkness, not divination; The sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be dark for them.
7 E quelli che fanno i veggenti resteranno confusi, e gli indovini saranno svergognati e si copriranno la faccia, perchè non vi saranno più responsi dal Signore.	7 Then shall the seers be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; They shall cover their lips, all of them, because there is no answer from God.
8 Io però sono ripieno della virtù dello spirito del Signore, del discernimento e della fortezza, per annunziare a Giacobbe la sua colpa e ad Israele il suo peccato.	8 But as for me, I am filled with power, with the spirit of the LORD, with authority and with might; To declare to Jacob his crimes and to Israel his sins.
9 Udite dunque, o principi della casa di Giacobbe, o giudici della casa d'Israele, che avete in orrore la giustizia e pervertite ogni diritto;	9 Hear this, you leaders of the house of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Israel! You who abhor what is just, and pervert all that is right;
10 che edificate Sion col sangue e Gerusalemme coll'iniquità!	10 Who build up Zion with bloodshed, and Jerusalem with wickedness!
11 I suoi principi erano giudici comprati dai regali; i suoi sacerdoti, maestri mercenari; e i suoi profeti, indovini prezzolati; e si appoggiavano tranquillamente sopra il Signore dicendo: - Il Signore non sta egli in mezzo a noi? il male non può venire sopra di noi. -	11 Her leaders render judgment for a bribe, her priests give decisions for a salary, her prophets divine for money, While they rely on the LORD, saying, "Is not the LORD in the midst of us? No evil can come upon us!"
12 Per questo, in causa vostra, Sion sarà arata, come un campo; e Gerusalemme diventerà un cumulo di rovine; e il monte del tempio, un'altura inselvatichita.	12 Therefore, because of you, Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem reduced to rubble, And the mount of the temple to a forest ridge.
