Isaiah 34

1 Come near and listen, you nations, pay attention, you peoples. Let the earth and its contents listen, theworld and its entire population.	1 Приступите, народы, слушайте и внимайте, племена! да слышит земля и всё, что наполняет ее, вселенная и всё рождающееся в ней!
2 For Yahweh is angry with al the nations, enraged with al their hordes. He has vowed them todestruction, handed them over to slaughter.	2 Ибо гнев Господа на все народы, и ярость Его на все воинство их. Он предал их заклятию, отдал их на заклание.
3 Their dead wil be thrown away, the stench wil rise from their corpses, the mountains wil run with theirblood,	3 И убитые их будут разбросаны, и от трупов их поднимется смрад, и горы размокнут от крови их.
4 the entire array of heaven wil fall apart. The heavens wil be rol ed up like a scrol and al their array willfade away, as fade the leaves fal ing from the vine, as fade those fal ing from the fig tree.	4 И истлеет все небесное воинство; и небеса свернутся, как свиток книжный; и все воинство их падет, как спадает лист с виноградной лозы, и как увядший лист--со смоковницы.
5 For my sword has drunk deep in the heavens: see how it now fal s on Edom, on the people vowed todestruction, to punish them.	5 Ибо упился меч Мой на небесах: вот, для суда нисходит он на Едом и на народ, преданный Мною заклятию.
6 Yahweh's sword is gorged with blood, it is greasy with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with thefat of the kidneys of rams. For Yahweh has a sacrifice in Bozrah, a great slaughter in the land of Edom.	6 Меч Господа наполнится кровью, утучнеет от тука, от крови агнцев и козлов, от тука с почек овнов: ибо жертва у Господа в Восоре и большое заклание в земле Едома.
7 The wild oxen will fal with them, the bullocks with the bul s; their land wil be drenched with blood andtheir dust wil be greasy with fat.	7 И буйволы падут с ними и тельцы вместе с волами, и упьется земля их кровью, и прах их утучнеет от тука.
8 For this wil be Yahweh's day of vengeance, the year of retribution in Zion's lawsuit.	8 Ибо день мщения у Господа, год возмездия за Сион.
9 Its streams will turn into pitch, its dust into brimstone, its country wil turn into blazing pitch.	9 И превратятся реки его в смолу, и прах его--в серу, и будет земля его горящею смолою:
10 Never quenched night or day, its smoke rising for ever, it wil lie waste age after age, no one wil travelthrough it for ever and ever.	10 не будет гаснуть ни днем, ни ночью; вечно будет восходить дым ее; будет от рода в род оставаться опустелою; во веки веков никто не пройдет по ней;
11 It wil be the haunt of pelican and hedgehog, the owl and the raven wil live there; over it Yahweh wilstretch the measuring line of chaos and the plumb-line of emptiness.	11 и завладеют ею пеликан и еж; и филин и ворон поселятся в ней; и протянут по ней вервь разорения и отвес уничтожения.
12 There will be no more nobles to proclaim the royal authority; there will be an end of al its princes.	12 Никого не останется там из знатных ее, кого можно было бы призвать на царство, и все князья ее будут ничто.
13 Brambles wil grow in its bastions, nettles and thorn-bushes in its fortresses, it will be the lair ofjackals, an enclosure for ostriches.	13 И зарастут дворцы ее колючими растениями, крапивою и репейником--твердыни ее; и будет она жилищем шакалов, пристанищем страусов.
14 Wild cats wil meet hyenas there, satyr will cal to satyr, there Lilith too wil lurk and find somewhere torest.	14 И звери пустыни будут встречаться с дикими кошками, и лешие будут перекликаться один с другим; там будет отдыхать ночное привидение и находить себе покой.
15 The snake wil nest and lay eggs there, will hatch and gather its young into the shade; and there thevultures wil assemble, each one with its mate.	15 Там угнездится летучий змей, будет класть яйца и выводить детей и собирать их под тень свою; там и коршуны будут собираться один к другому.
16 Search in Yahweh's book, and read, not one of these will be missing, not one of them lacking a mate;for thus his mouth has ordained it, and his spirit has brought them together.	16 Отыщите в книге Господней и прочитайте; ни одно из сих не преминет придти, и одно другим не заменится. Ибо сами уста Его повелели, и сам дух Его соберет их.
17 He has thrown the lot for each, his hand has measured out their share; they wil possess it for ever,and live there age after age.	17 И Сам Он бросил им жребий, и Его рука разделила им ее мерою; во веки будут они владеть ею, из рода в род будут жить на ней.
