2 Save me, God, for the waters have reached my neck.	2 Wybaw mnie, Boże, bo woda mi sięga po szyję.
3 I have sunk into the mire of the deep, where there is no foothold. I have gone down to the watery depths; the flood overwhelms me.	3 Ugrzązłem w mule topieli i nie mam nigdzie oparcia, trafiłem na wodną głębinę i nurt wody mnie porywa.
4 I am weary with crying out; my throat is parched. My eyes have failed, looking for my God.	4 Zmęczyłem się krzykiem i ochrypło mi gardło, osłabły moje oczy, gdy czekam na Boga mojego.
5 More numerous than the hairs of my head are those who hate me without cause. Too many for my strength are my treacherous enemies. Must I now restore what I did not steal?	5 Liczniejsi są od włosów mej głowy nienawidzący mnie bez powodu; silni są moi wrogowie, nieprzyjaciele zakłamani; czyż mam oddać to, czegom nie porwał?
6 God, you know my folly; my faults are not hidden from you.	6 Boże, Ty znasz moją głupotę i występki moje nie są zakryte przed Tobą.
7 Let those who wait for you, LORD of hosts, not be shamed through me. Let those who seek you, God of Israel, not be disgraced through me	7 Niech przeze mnie nie wstydzą się ci, co Tobie ufają, Panie, Boże Zastępów. Niech przeze mnie się nie rumienią ci, którzy Ciebie szukają, Boże Izraela!
8 For your sake I bear insult, shame covers my face.	8 Dla Ciebie bowiem znoszę urąganie i hańba twarz mi okrywa.
9 I have become an outcast to my kin, a stranger to my mother's children.	9 Dla braci moich stałem się obcym i cudzoziemcem dla synów mej matki.
10 Because zeal for your house consumes me, I am scorned by those who scorn you.	10 Bo gorliwość o dom Twój mnie pożera i spadły na mnie obelgi uwłaczających Tobie.
11 I have wept and fasted, but this led only to scorn.	11 Trapiłem siebie postem, a spotkały mnie za to zniewagi.
12 I clothed myself in sackcloth; I became a byword for them.	12 Przywdziałem wór jako szatę i pośmiewiskiem stałem się dla tamtych.
13 They who sit at the gate gossip about me; drunkards make me the butt of their songs.	13 Mówią o mnie siedzący w bramie i śpiewają pieśni ci, co piją sycerę.
14 But I pray to you, LORD, for the time of your favor. God, in your great kindness answer me with your constant help.	14 Lecz ja, o Panie, ślę moją modlitwę do Ciebie, w czasie łaskawości, o Boże; wysłuchaj mnie w Twojej wielkiej dobroci, w zbawczej Twej wierności!
15 Rescue me from the mire; do not let me sink. Rescue me from my enemies and from the watery depths.	15 Wyrwij mnie z bagna, abym nie zatonął, wybaw mnie od tych, co mnie nienawidzą, i z wodnej głębiny!
16 Do not let the floodwaters overwhelm me, nor the deep swallow me, nor the mouth of the pit close over me.	16 Niechaj mnie nurt wody nie porwie, niech nie pochłonie mnie głębia, niech otchłań nie zamknie nade mną swej paszczy!
17 Answer me, LORD, in your generous love; in your great mercy turn to me.	17 Wysłuchaj mnie, Panie, bo Twoja łaska pełna jest dobroci; wejrzyj na mnie w ogromie swego miłosierdzia!
18 Do not hide your face from your servant; in my distress hasten to answer me.	18 Nie kryj swego oblicza przed Twoim sługą; prędko mnie wysłuchaj, bo jestem w ucisku.
19 Come and ransom my life; because of my enemies redeem me.	19 Zbliż się do mnie i wybaw mnie; uwolnij mnie przez wzgląd na moich wrogów!
20 You know my reproach, my shame, my disgrace; before you stand all my foes.	20 Ty znasz moją hańbę, mój wstyd i mą niesławę; wszyscy, co mnie dręczą, są przed Tobą.
21 Insult has broken my heart, and I am weak; I looked for compassion, but there was none, for comforters, but found none.	21 Hańba złamała moje serce i sił mi zabrakło, na współczującego czekałem, ale go nie było, i na pocieszających, lecz ich nie znalazłem.
22 Instead they put gall in my food; for my thirst they gave me vinegar.	22 Dali mi jako pokarm truciznę, a gdy byłem spragniony, poili mnie octem.
23 Make their own table a snare for them, a trap for their friends.	23 Niech stół ich stanie się dla nich pułapką, potrzaskiem - ich biesiada ofiarna.
24 Make their eyes so dim they cannot see; keep their backs ever feeble.	24 Niech zaćmią się ich oczy, aby nie widzieli; spraw, by lędźwie ich zawsze się chwiały.
25 Pour out your wrath upon them; let the fury of your anger overtake them.	25 Wylej na nich swoje oburzenie, niech ich ogarnie żar Twojego gniewu!
26 Make their camp desolate, with none to dwell in their tents.	26 Niech ich mieszkanie stanie się pustkowiem, a w ich namiotach niech braknie mieszkańców!
27 For they pursued the one you struck, added to the pain of the one you wounded.	27 Bo prześladowali tego, kogoś Ty poraził i przyczynili bólu temu, któregoś ty zranił.
28 Add that to their crimes; let them not attain to your reward.	28 Do winy ich dodaj winę, niech nie dostąpią u Ciebie usprawiedliwienia.
29 Strike them from the book of the living; do not count them among the just!	29 Niech zostaną wymazani z księgi żyjących i niech nie będą zapisani z prawymi!
30 But I am afflicted and in pain; let your saving help protect me, God,	30 Ale ja jestem nędzny i zbolały; niech pomoc Twoja, Boże, mię strzeże!
31 That I may praise God's name in song and glorify it with thanksgiving.	31 Pieśnią chcę chwalić imię Boga i dziękczynieniem Go wysławiać.
32 My song will please the LORD more than oxen, more than bullocks with horns and hooves:	32 Milsze to Bogu niźli bawół, niż cielec, co ma [już] rogi i racice.
33 "See, you lowly ones, and be glad; you who seek God, take heart!	33 Patrzcie i bądźcie radośni, ubodzy, niech ożyje wasze serce, którzy szukacie Boga.
34 For the LORD hears the poor, does not spurn those in bondage.	34 Bo Pan wysłuchuje biednych i swoimi więźniami nie gardzi.
35 Let the heavens and the earth sing praise, the seas and whatever moves in them!"	35 Niechaj Go chwalą niebiosa i ziemia, morza i wszystko, co w nich się porusza.
36 God will rescue Zion, rebuild the cities of Judah. God's servants shall dwell in the land and possess it;	36 Albowiem Bóg ocali Syjon i zbuduje miasta Judy: tam będą mieszkać i mieć posiadłość;
37 7) it shall be the heritage of their descendants; those who love God's name shall dwell there.	37 i potomstwo sług Jego ją odziedziczy, a miłujący Jego imię tam przebywać będę.
