Ezechiele 4

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E tu, figliuolo d' uomo, piglia uno mattone, (e sia crudo, come dice la Chiesa), e ponlo dinanzi a te, e designa in esso la città di Ierusalem..	1 'For your part, son of man, take a brick and lay it in front of you; on it scratch a city, Jerusalem.
2 E ordinerai incontro a lei l'assedio, (e ordinerai) ed edificherai l' armadure, e porterai l'aggere, e porrai incontro a lei le castella, e porrai li arieti nel giro suo, (cioè alcuni edificii, i quali si chiama arieti, per espugnar le mura delle terre).	2 You are then to besiege it, trench round it, build earthworks, pitch camps and bring up battering-rams alround.
3 E togli una padella di ferro, e porra'la in uno muro di ferro tra te e la città, e fermerai la tua faccia a lei, e sarà assediata, e attornierai lei: ed è segno alla casa d' Israel.	3 Then take an iron pan and place it as though it were an iron wal between you and the city. Then fixyour gaze on it; it is being besieged and you are besieging it. This is a sign for the House of Israel.
4 E tu dormirai sopra lo tuo lato manco, e porrai le iniquitadi della casa d' Israel sopra lo numero delli dì che tu dormirai sopra quello lato, ? torrai le iniquitadi loro.	4 'Lie down on your left side and take the guilt of the House of Israel on yourself. You wil bear their guiltfor as many days as you lie on that side.
5 Ed io ho dato a te li anni della loro iniquitade, per numero di dì CCCLXXXX; e porterai le iniquitadi della casa d' Israel.	5 Allowing one day for every year of their guilt, I ordain that you bear it for three hundred and ninety days;this is how you wil bear the House of Israel's guilt.
6 E quando tu averai adempiuto tutte queste cose, dormirai la seconda volta sopra lo tuo lato diritto, e torrai la iniquitade della casa di Giuda per XL dì; lo dì per anno, lo dì certamente ho dato a te per anno.	6 And when you have finished doing this, you are to lie down again, on your right side, and bear the guiltof the House of Judah for forty days. I have set the length for you as one day for one year.
7 E rivolgerai la tua faccia all' assedio di Ierusalem, e lo tuo braccio sarà disteso, e profeterai incontro a lei.	7 Then fix your gaze on the siege of Jerusalem, raise your bared arm and prophesy against her.
8 Ecco, io t' hoe circondato di legami; e non volgerai lo tuo lato in altro lato, insino a tanto che tu compia li di del tuo assedio.	8 Look, I am going to tie you up and you wil not be able to turn over from one side to the other until theperiod of your seclusion is over.
9 E tu togli per te grano e orzo, fava e lenti e miglio e veccia; e mettili in uno vaso, e fanne pani per te, per lo numero delli dì che tu dormirai sopra lo tuo lato; trecento novanta di mangerai quello.	9 'Now take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, mil et and spelt; put them al in the same pot and make theminto bread for yourself. You are to eat it for as many days as you are lying on your side -- three hundred andninety days.
10 E lo tuo cibo, che tu userai, sarà in peso di XX statere al di; (la statera sì è una oncia al modo latino, sì che quello cibo dovea essere di XX oncie); e mangera'lo da tempo a tempo.	10 Of this food, you are to weigh out a daily portion of twenty shekels and eat it a little piece at a time.
11 E berai l'acqua a misura, la sesta parte d'uno staio; e berai quella da tempo a tempo.	11 And you are to ration the water you drink -- a sixth of a hin -- drinking that a little at a time.
12 E mangerai lo pane dell' orzo, poco cotto, come si fa sotto la cenere; e dello sterco, ch' esce dell' uomo, coprirai quello inanzi loro occhi.	12 You are to eat this in the form of a barley cake baked where they can see you, on human dung.'
13 Questo dice Iddio: così mangeranno li figliuoli d' Israel lo suo pane corrotto tra la gente alla quale caccerò loro.	13 And Yahweh said, 'This is how the Israelites wil have to eat their defiled food, wherever I dispersethem among the nations.'
14 E io dissi: ah ah ah, Signore Iddio, ecco, l'anima mia non è corrotta; e non mangiai cosa morta di sua morte, nè di bestia lacerata da bestia, dalla mia giovinezza infino ad ora, e neuna carne immonda è entrata in la mia bocca.	14 I then said, 'Lord Yahweh, my soul is not defiled. From my childhood until now, I have never eaten ananimal that has died a natural death or been savaged; no tainted meat has ever entered my mouth.'
15 E disse a me: ecco, io t'ho dato lo letame de' buoi per li sterchi umani; e farai lo tuo pane in quello.	15 'Very wel ,' he said, 'I grant you cow-dung instead of human dung; you are to bake your bread on that.'
16 E disse a me: figliuolo dell' uomo, ecco, io triterò la mazzuola del pane in Ierusalem; e mangeranno lo suo pane a peso, in sollicitudine; e l'acqua a misura e' beranno in angoscia.	16 He then said, 'Son of man, I am going to cut off Jerusalem's food supply; in their extremity, the foodthey eat wil be weighed out; to their horror, the water they drink wil be rationed,
17 E mancando lo pane e l'acqua, ciascuno vada al suo fratello, e diventi pigro nelle sue iniquitadi.	17 until there is no food or water left, and they fall into a stupor and waste away because of their guilt.'
