Ezechiele 10

BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E vidi, ed ecco nel firmamento, ch' era sopra lo capo del Cherubino, sì come una pietra di zaffiro; e appario sopra lei sì come una specie di similitudine della sua celestiale gloria.	1 Then, in vision I saw that above the solid surface over the heads of the winged creatures there wasabove them something like sapphire, which seemed to be like a throne.
2 E disse all'uomo ch' era vestito di lino: entra nel mezzo delle ruote, le quali sono sotto ai Cherubini, ed empi le tue mani de' carboni di fuoco, i quali sono tra' Cherubini, e spargi sopra alla città. Ed entrò nel mio conspetto.	2 He then said to the man dressed in linen, 'Go in between the wheels below the winged creatures; takea handful of burning coal from between the winged creatures and scatter it over the city.' He went in as Iwatched.
3 E li Cherubini stavano dalla parte diritta della casa, quanto entroe l'uomo, e la nuvola empì lo cammino dentro.	3 The winged creatures were on the right of the Temple as the man went in, and the cloud fil ed theinner court.
4 E levossi la gloria di Dio sopra i Cherubini al sogliare della casa; e la casa fu piena di nuvola, e lo cammino anche fu pieno della gloria di Dio.	4 The glory of Yahweh rose from above the winged creatures, towards the threshold of the Temple; theTemple was fil ed by the cloud and the court was full of the brightness of the glory of Yahweh.
5 E lo suono dell' ale de' Cherubini s' udiva di fuori del cammino, quasi come la voce dello onnipotente Dio parlante.	5 The noise of the winged creatures' wings could be heard even in the outer court, like the voice of GodAlmighty when he speaks.
6 E quando ebbe comandato all' uomo ch' era vestito di lino, dicendoli: piglia lo fuoco del mezzo delle ruote, che sono tra' Cherubini; entratovi colui stette a lato alla ruota.	6 When he had given the order to the man dressed in linen, 'Take the fire from between the wheels,between the winged creatures,' the man went in and stood by one of the wheels.
7 E uno Cherubino distese la sua mano, del mezzo de' Cherubini, al fuoco ch' era entro a' Cherubini; e tolselo, e diedelo nelle mani di colui ch' era vestito di lino; lo quale togliendo uscì fuori.	7 One of the winged creatures then reached his hand out towards the fire between the wingedcreatures, took some of it and put it into the hands of the man dressed in linen, who took it and came out again.
8 E appario nelli Cherubini una similitudine d'una mano d' uomo sotto le penne loro.	8 There appeared to be what looked like a human hand under the winged creatures' wings.
9 E io vidi, ed ecco quattro ruote erano a lato a' Cherubini; e una ruota era a lato a uno Cherubino, e l'altra a lato all' altro; e la specie delle ruote era come una similitudine d'una pietra che si chiama crisolito.	9 And I looked, and there were four wheels beside the winged creatures, one wheel beside each wingedcreature, and the appearance of the wheels was like the sparkle of chrysolite.
10 E lo loro aspetto avea similitudine d' una delle quattro, quasi come fosse una ruota nel mezzo della ruota.	10 In appearance, al four looked alike, as though each wheel had another wheel inside it.
11 E quando andavano, in quattro parti andavano, e quelli che andavano non ritornavano; ma allo luogo, al quale quella ch' era prima declinava per andare, le altre seguitavano, e non ritornavano.	11 In whichever of the four directions they moved, they did not need to turn as they moved, butwhichever way the head was facing there they fol owed; they did not turn as they moved,
12 E tutto lo loro corpo, lo collo e le mani e le penne e' cerchielli tutti erano pieni d' occhi, nel circuito delle quattro ruote.	12 and their entire bodies, their backs, their hands, their wings, as wel as the wheels, had eyes al theway round (the wheels of al four).
13 E quelle ruote chiamolle volubili, udendo me.	13 In my hearing, these wheels were called 'galgal'.
14 E aveano quattro facce; una faccia era faccia di Cherubino; e la seconda, faccia d'uomo; e nello terzo, faccia di leone; e nel quarto, faccia d'aquila.	14 Each had four faces; the first was a winged creature's face, the second a human face, the third alion's face and the fourth an eagle's face.
15 E li Cherubini si levarono; quello è l' animale ch' io avea veduto a lato al fiume di Cobar.	15 The winged creatures rose; this was the being I had seen by the River Chebar.
16 Quando andavano li Cherubini, e le ruote andavano a lato a loro; e quando levavano li Cherubini l'ale per levarsi di terra, le ruote non istavano, ma incontinente erano a lato a loro.	16 When the winged creatures moved, the wheels moved beside them; and when the winged creaturesraised their wings to leave the ground, the wheels did not turn beside them.
17 E quando loro istavano, e quelle istavano; e quando si levavano, e quelle anche si levavano; però che lo spirito della vita era in loro.	17 When the former halted the latter halted; when the former rose, the latter rose with them, since theyshared the same living spirit.
18 E la gloria del Signore uscìo del sogliaro del tempio, e stette sopra i Cherubini.	18 The glory of Yahweh then came out over the Temple threshold and paused over the wingedcreatures.
19 E levando i Cherubini l'ale, si alzarono da terra innanzi a me; e uscendo loro fuori, e le ruote seguitarono; e istette nello introito della porta orientale della casa di Dio, e la gloria di Dio d'Israel era sopra loro.	19 These raised their wings and rose from the ground as I watched, and the wheels were beside them.They paused at the entrance to the east gate of the Temple of Yahweh, with the glory of the God of Israel over them, above.
20 Quello è l'animale ch' io vidi sotto allo Iddio d' Israel a lato al fiume (che si chiama) Cobar; e intesi ch' erano Cherubini.	20 This was the winged creature I had seen beneath the God of Israel by the River Chebar; I knew thatthey were winged creatures.
21 Quattro (cioè quattro) volti avea cadauno (di quelli quattro animali), e quattro ale; e similitudine di mano d'uomo era sotto l'ale.	21 Each had four faces and four wings and what seemed to be human hands under their wings.
22 E la similitudine delli loro volti erano quasi com'e' volti che avea veduti a lato al fiume (che si chiama) Cobar, e lo loro guardare e lo impeto di ciascuno (vidi) entrare inanzi alla faccia sua.	22 Their faces were like those I had seen by the River Chebar. Each one moved straight forward.
