1 Nell' anno che Tartan entrò in Azoto, conciosia cosa che l' avesse mandato Sargon re di quelli di Assur, e avesse combattuto contro ad Azoto (cioè una città), e avessela presa;	1 In the year that Tharthan entered into Azotus, when Sargon the king of the Assyrians had sent him, and he had fought against Azotus, and had taken it:
2 in quello tempo parlò Iddio a Isaia figliuolo di Amos, e disse: va e sciogli lo sacco delli tuoi lombi, e togli i calzamenti de' tuoi piedi. E così fece, andando ignudo e iscalzo.	2 At that same time the Lord spoke by the hand of Isaias the son of Amos, saying: Go, and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and take off thy shoes from thy feet. And he did so, and went naked, and barefoot.
3 E disse Iddio: come Isaia mio servo andò iscalzo e ignudo (cioè tre dì), così sarà segno e maraviglia di tre anni sopra Egitto e sopra Etiopia.	3 And the Lord said: As my servant Isaias hath walked, naked and barefoot, it shall be a sign and a wonder of three years upon Egypt, and upon Ethiopia,
4 E così menerà lo re delli Assirii la prigionia di Egitto e la transmigrazione di Etiopia, lo giovane e lo antico, la ignuda e la iscalza, colle natiche scoperte a più vergogna di Egitto.	4 So shall the king of the Assyrians lead away the prisoners of Egypt, and the captivity of Ethiopia, young and old. naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered to the shame of Egypt.
5 E temeranno e saranno confusi da Etiopia nella loro speranza, e da Egitto nella gloria sua.	5 And they shall be afraid, and ashamed of Ethiopia their hope, and of Egypt their glory.
6 E lo abitatore di questa isola dirà in quello dì: ora era questa la nostra speranza, a' quali noi fuggimmo per aiuto, perchè loro liberassino noi dalla faccia delli Assirii; e come potremo noi fuggire?	6 And the inhabitants of this isle shall say in that day: Lo this was our hope, to whom we fled for help, to deliver up from the face of the king of the Assyrians: and how shall we be able to escape?
