BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 E portarono l'arca di Dio, e collocaronla in mezzo del tabernacolo, il quale David gli avea fatto; e offerirono olocausti e pacifichi nel cospetto di Dio.	1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.
2 E compiuto David d' offerire lo olocausto e le pacifiche ostie (dinanzi a Dio), benedisse il popolo nel nome di Dio.	2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.
3 E partìo a tutti a ciascuno, maschio e femina, una torta di pane, e parte di carne di bufola arrostita, e similia fatta in olio.	3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.
4 E ordinò nel cospetto dell' arca [del Signore] Leviti, i quali ministrassero e ricordassersi dell' opere sue, e glorificassono e laudassono il Signore Iddio d' Israel;	4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;
5 Asaf principe, e Zacaria secondo a lui, e Iaiel [e Semiramot e Ieiel] e Matatia ed Eliab e Banaia, e Obededom; Ieiel sopra il canto del salterio e le lire, e Asaf a suonare i cimbali;	5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.
6 e Banaia, e Iaziel [sacerdoti], che cantassero continuamente [colle] trombe nel cospetto dell' arca del patto del Signore.	6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 In quel dì fece David principe a confessare a Dio, Asaf e i suoi fratelli.	7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:
8 Confessatevi al Signore, e invocate il nome suo; fate manifesto nei popoli i suoi trovamenti.	8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.
9 Cantate, salmeggiate a lui; e narrate tutte le sue maraviglie.	9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!
10 Laudate il suo santo nome; e allegrisi il cuore di quelli che domandano il Signore.	10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!
11 Cercate il Signore e le sue virtudi; e domandate tuttavia la faccia sua.	11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!
12 Ricordatevi delle sue maraviglie le quali egli fece, e de' segni suoi e de' giudicii della bocca sua.	12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,
13 Il seme d' Israel servi suoi; i figliuoli di Iacob suoi eletti.	13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!
14 Esso è il Signore Iddio nostro; in tutta la terra sono i giudicii suoi.	14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.
15 Ricordatevi in sempiterno del patto suo, e della parola la quale comandò in mille generazioni,	15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
16 il quale [patto] fece con esso Abraam; e del suo giuramento ad Isaac.	16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,
17 E ordinò quello in comandamento a Iacob, e in patto sempiterno ad Israel,	17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,
18 dicendo: io ti darò la terra di Canaan, funicello della vostra eredita.	18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,
19 Quando erano pochi in numero, piccoli gli gli abitatori suoi,	19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'
20 e' passarono di gente in gente, e di reame ad altro popolo.	20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,
21 Non permise che alcuno li calunniasse; anzi per loro riprese li re.	21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,
22 Non vogliate toccare i miei cristi; e nelli miei profeti non vogliate essere maligni.	22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'
23 Cantate tutta la terra al Signore; annunciatedi dì in dì la salute sua.	23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!
24 Narrate tra le genti la gloria sua; in tutti i popoli le maraviglie sue.	24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
25 Però che egli è grande Signore, e troppo da laudare; terribile sopra tutti gli dii.	25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
26 Però che tutti gli dii de' popoli sono idoli; ma il Signore fece i cieli.	26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,
27 Confessione e magnificenza nel cospetto suo; fortezza e letizia nel luogo suo.	27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.
28 Famiglie de' popoli portate al Signore; portate al Signore imperio e gloria.	28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,
29 E imperciò date gloria al suo nome, levate il suo sacrificio (nel suo onore) e venite nel cospetto suo; e adorate il Signore in santa bellezza.	29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,
30 Dal suo cospetto sia commossa tutta la terra; egli certo fondò la terra immobile.	30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,
31 Allegrinsi i cieli, e allegrisi la terra; e dicano tra le nazioni: il Signore regnarà.	31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'
32 Tuoni il mare, e tutto quello che v' è dentro; allegrinsi i campi, e tutte le cose che vi sono.	32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,
33 Allotta lauderanno i legni de' boschi [dinanzi al Signore]; imperciò che venne a giudicare la terra.	33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.
34 Confessatevi al Signore, però ch' egli è buono; però che la sua misericordia è eterna.	34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!
35 E dite: salvaci, Salvatore nostro Iddio; e congrega noi, e salvaci dalle genti, acciò che noi ci confessiamo al tuo santo nome, e allegriamci negli versi tuoi.	35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'
36 Benedetto il Signore Iddio d'Israel dallo eterno insino allo eterno; e ogni popolo dica: amen, e inno a Dio.	36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'
37 E lasciò ivi dinanzi all' arca del patto Asaf e i suoi fratelli, acciò che servisseno nel cospetto dell' arca continuamente, ogni dì, secondo la loro sorte.	37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,
38 E Obededom, e' suoi fratelli LXVIII, e Obededom figliuolo di Iditun, e Osa fece portieri.	38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.
39 E Sadoc sacerdote e' suoi fratelli fece che fossero sacerdoti nel cospetto del tabernacolo del Signore, nell' altezza la quale era in Gabaon,	39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon
40 acciò ch' egli offerissono olocausto al Signore sopra l'altare d'ogni olocausto continuo, la mattina e al vespro, secondo quello ch' era scritto nella legge del Signore, la quale comandò ad Israel;	40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.
41 e dopo lui Eman e Iditun e tutti gli altri eletti, ciascheduno per suo nome, a confessare a Dio, chè la sua misericordia è in eterno;	41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.
42 ed Eman e Iditun cantando con tromba, e sonanti cimbali e tutti istromenti musichi, a cantare a Dio; e i figliuoli di Iditun fece portieri.	42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.
43 E tutto il popolo ritornò a casa sua; e anche David a benedicere la casa sua.	43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.
