Titus 3

1 Admonish them to be subordinate to the rulers and authorities, to obey their dictates, to be prepared for every good work,	1 Нагадай їм, щоб корилися верховній владі, щоб слухалися, були готові до всякого доброго діла,
2 to speak evil of no one, not to be litigious, but to be reserved, displaying all meekness toward all men.	2 щоб нікого не ганьбили, були мирні, поступливі та виявляли повну лагідність супроти всіх людей.
3 For, in times past, we ourselves were also unwise, unbelieving, erring, servants of various desires and pleasures, acting with malice and envy, being hateful and hating one another.	3 Ми теж були колись безглузді, непокірні, збаламучені, служили пристрастям та розкошам прерізним, живучи у злобі й заздрощах, огидні, взаємно ненависні.
4 But then the kindness and humanity of God our Savior appeared.	4 Та коли з’явилась доброта й любов до людей Спаса нашого Бога,
5 And he saved us, not by works of justice that we had done, but, in accord with his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and by the renovation of the Holy Spirit,	5 він спас нас не ради діл справедливости, які ми були зробили, але з свого милосердя, купіллю відродження і відновленням Святого Духа,
6 whom he has poured out upon us in abundance, through Jesus Christ our Savior,	6 якого вилив на нас щедро через Ісуса Христа, нашого Спаса,
7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we may become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.	7 щоб ми, оправдані його благодаттю, стали згідно з надією спадкоємцями життя вічного.
8 This is a faithful saying. And I want you to confirm these things, so that those who believe in God may take care to excel in good works. These things are good and useful to men.	8 Вірне слово! І я хочу, щоб ти його запевняв, аби ті, які увірували в Бога, намагалися бути першими в добрих ділах. Це добре й корисне людям.
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, as well as arguments against the law. For these are useless and empty.	9 А безглуздих питань, родоводів, спорів та суперечок про закон уникай, бо вони безкорисні й марні.
10 Avoid a man who is a heretic, after the first and second correction,	10 Єретика чоловіка по першім і другім попередженні цурайся,
11 knowing that one who is like this has been subverted, and that he offends; for he has been condemned by his own judgment.	11 знаючи, що такий ось збився на манівці і грішить, ще й осуджує себе самого.
12 When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, hurry to return to me at Nicopolis. For I have decided to winter there.	12 Коли пришлю до тебе Артема або Тихика, чимскоріше приходь до мене в Нікопіль, бо я вирішив там перезимувати.
13 Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollo ahead with care, and let nothing be lacking to them.	13 Зину законника й Аполлоса випровадь дбайливо, щоб їм нічого не бракувало.
14 But let our men also learn to excel in good works pertaining to the necessities of life, so that they may not be unfruitful.	14 Наші також; нехай навчаться бути першими в добрих ділах для конечних потреб, щоб не були безплідні.
15 All those who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. May the grace of God be with you all. Amen.	15 Вітають тебе всі, які зо мною. Вітай тих, які люблять нас у вірі. Благодать з усіма вами!
