Acts of the Apostles 3

NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 Once, when Peter and John were going up to the Temple for the prayers at the ninth hour,	1 Петро і Йоан ішли у храм на молитву о дев’ятій годині.
2 it happened that there was a man being carried along. He was a cripple from birth; and they used to puthim down every day near the Temple entrance cal ed the Beautiful Gate so that he could beg from the peoplegoing in.	2 А був там чоловік кривий від лона матері своєї, якого приносили і клали щодня біля дверей храму, що звалися Красними, просити милостині від тих, що йшли до храму.
3 When this man saw Peter and John on their way into the Temple he begged from them.	3 Як тільки він побачив Петра і Йоана, що саме входили у храм, попросив у них милостиню.
4 Peter, and John too, looked straight at him and said, 'Look at us.'	4 Петро з Йоаном, споглянувши на нього, сказали: «Глянь на нас!»
5 He turned to them expectantly, hoping to get something from them,	5 Той вдивлявсь у них, сподіваючися щось від них дістати.
6 but Peter said, 'I have neither silver nor gold, but I wil give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christthe Nazarene, walk!'	6 Петро промовив: «Срібла й золота нема у мене; що ж маю, те тобі даю: В ім’я Ісуса Христа Назарянина, встань і ходи!»
7 Then he took him by the right hand and helped him to stand up. Instantly his feet and ankles becamefirm,	7 І схопивши його за правицю, підвів його, і тієї хвилі окріпли його ноги з суглобами.
8 he jumped up, stood, and began to walk, and he went with them into the Temple, walking and jumpingand praising God.	8 Встав той, зірвавшись, і почав ходити й увійшов з ними у храм, ходячи, підскакуючи і хвалячи Бога.
9 Everyone could see him walking and praising God,	9 Увесь народ бачив, як він ходив і хвалив Бога.
10 and they recognised him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple. Theywere all astonished and perplexed at what had happened to him.	10 Вони пізнали його, що це той, який сидів при Красних дверях храму для милостині, і сповнилися страхом та здивуванням над тим, що йому сталося.
11 Everyone came running towards them in great excitement, to the Portico of Solomon, as it is called,where the man was stil clinging to Peter and John.	11 Тому ж, що він тримався Петра й Йоана, увесь народ, здивований, прибіг до них у притвор, званий Соломоновим.
12 When Peter saw the people he addressed them, 'Men of Israel, why are you so surprised at this? Whyare you staring at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or holiness?	12 Побачивши це Петро, промовив до народу: «Мужі ізраїльські! Чому дивуєтеся з цього? Чому ви дивитесь на нас, немов би ми вчинили власною силою і (нашим) благочестям те, що оцей ходить?
13 It is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, who has glorified his servantJesus whom you handed over and then disowned in the presence of Pilate after he had given his verdict torelease him.	13 Бог Авраама, Ісаака і Якова, Бог отців наших, прославив слугу свого Ісуса, що його ви видали й відреклися перед Пилатом, коли цей присудив його пустити;
14 It was you who accused the Holy and Upright One, you who demanded that a murderer should bereleased to you	14 ви ж Святого і Праведного зреклися і просили, щоб вам помилувано чоловіка душогубця,
15 while you killed the prince of life. God, however, raised him from the dead, and to that fact we are witnesses;	15 а Творця життя вбили, якого Бог воскресив з мертвих, чому ми свідки.
16 and it is the name of Jesus which, through faith in him, has brought back the strength of this manwhom you see here and who is wel known to you. It is faith in him that has restored this man to health, as youcan al see.	16 І через віру в його ім’я — оцього, що ви бачите й знаєте, його ім’я закріпилось, і віра, що через нього, дала йому повне видужання перед усіма вами.
17 'Now I know, brothers, that neither you nor your leaders had any idea what you were real y doing;	17 Однак, браття, я знаю, що ви через незнання це зробили, як і ваші князі;
18 but this was the way God carried out what he had foretold, when he said through all his prophets thathis Christ would suffer.	18 та Бог здійснив це так, що наперед звістив устами всіх пророків, що Христос має страждати.
19 Now you must repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,	19 Тож покайтеся і наверніться, щоб ваші гріхи були стерті;
20 and so that the Lord may send the time of comfort. Then he wil send you the Christ he haspredestined, that is Jesus,	20 і щоб так прийшли від Господа часи відпочинку, і він прислав призначеного вам Христа Ісуса.
21 whom heaven must keep til the universal restoration comes which God proclaimed, speaking throughhis holy prophets.	21 Треба було, щоб його прийняло небо аж до часу відновлення усього, про що Бог споконвіку говорив устами своїх святих пророків.
22 Moses, for example, said, "From among your brothers the Lord God wil raise up for you a prophet likeme; you wil listen to whatever he tells you.	22 Мойсей сказав: Господь, Бог наш, піднесе вам Пророка, як мене, з-посеред братів ваших. Ви слухатиметесь його в усьому, що вам скаже.
23 Anyone who refuses to listen to that prophet shal be cut off from the people."	23 А кожний, хто не буде слухатися того Пророка, буде викорінений з народу. —
24 In fact, al the prophets that have ever spoken, from Samuel onwards, have predicted these days.	24 Так само всі пророки від Самуїла й ті, що говорили потім, звіщали про ці дні.
25 'You are the heirs of the prophets, the heirs of the covenant God made with your ancestors when hetold Abraham, "Al the nations of the earth will be blessed in your descendants".	25 Ви — сини пророків і Завіту, що Бог був заключив із вашими батьками, кажучи до Авраама: В твоїм потомстві будуть благословенні всі сім’ї землі. —
26 It was for you in the first place that God raised up his servant and sent him to bless you as every one ofyou turns from his wicked ways.'	26 Вам насамперед Бог воскресив слугу свого і послав його, щоб він благословив вас та відвертав кожного з вас від поганих учинків.»
