Ezekiel 7

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA VOLGARE
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 E la parola di Dio si fece a me, dicendo:
2 'Son of man, say, "Lord Yahweh says this to the land of Israel: Finished! The end is coming for the fourcorners of the country.	2 E tu, figliuolo d' uomo, questo dice lo Signore Iddio della terra d' Israel: lo fine viene, viene lo fine sopra le quattro plaghe della terra.
3 This is the end for you; I shall unleash my anger on you, and judge you as your conduct deserves andcal you to account for al your loathsome practices.	3 Ora è la fine sopra te, e metteroe lo mio furore in te, e giudicarò te secondo le vie tue, e porrò contro a te tutte le tue abominazioni.
4 I shall show you no pity, I shall not spare you; I shall repay you for your conduct and for the loathsomepractices in which you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 E lo mio occhio non perdonerà a te, e sopra te non averò misericordia; ma porrò le vie tue sopra te, e le tue abominazioni saranno nel mezzo di te; e saprete ch' io sono Iddio.
5 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster, a unique disaster, is coming.	5 Questo dice lo Signore: una afflizione, ecco che viene una afflizione.
6 The end is coming, the end is coming, it is on the move towards you, it is coming now.	6 Lo fine viene, viene lo fine, e vegghiò contro a te; ecco che viene.
7 Now it is your turn, you who dwel in this country. Doom is coming, the day is near; no joy now, onlytumult, on the mountains.	7 Ecco che viene la contrizione sopra te, che abiti in terra; lo tempo viene, appresso è lo dì della (tua) uccisione, e non le glorie de' monti.
8 Now I shal soon vent my fury on you and sate my anger on you: I shal judge you as your conductdeserves and repay you for al your loathsome practices.	8 Ora da presso spargerò la mia ira sopra te, e compierò lo mio furore in te; e giudicherò te secondo le tue vie, e porrò a te tutte le tue fellonie.
9 I shall show neither pity nor mercy, but shall repay you for your conduct and the loathsome practices inwhich you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh and that I strike.	9 E lo occhio mio non perdonerà, nè averò misericordia; ma io imporrò a te le tue vie, e le abominazioni [tue] saranno nel mezzo di te; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore percotente.
10 "Now is the day, your turn has come, it has come, it appears, the sceptre has blossomed, pride is at itspeak.	10 Ecco lo dì, ecco che viene; la contrizione è uscita fuori, la verga fiorì, e germinoe la superbia.
11 Violence has risen to become the scourge of wickedness . . .	11 La iniquitate si è levata suso in verga della empietate, non da loro, nè dal popolo, nè da loro suono; e non sarà a loro riposo.
12 Doom is coming, the day is near. Neither should buyer rejoice, nor sel er regret, for the fury rests oneveryone alike.	12 Lo tempo ne viene, e lo dì si è approssimato; chi compra, non si rallegri; e chi vende, non pianga; però che la ira è sopra lo suo popolo.
13 The sel er wil not be able to go back on his bargain; each persists in his sins; they take no defensivemeasures.	13 Però che quello che vende non ritornerà a quello ch' elli vendeo, e ancora è la loro vita nelli viventi; però che la visione non uscirà fuori a tutta la moltitudine; e l'uomo non si conforterà nella iniquità della sua vita.
14 The trumpet sounds, all is ready, but no one goes into battle, since my fury rests on all alike.	14 Cantate colla tromba, e apparecchinsi tutti; e non è chi vada alla battaglia; l'ira mia è sopra tutto lo suo popolo.
15 "Outside, the sword; inside, plague and famine. Whoever is living in the countryside wil die by thesword; whoever is living in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.	15 Lo coltello è di fuori; la pestilenza e la fame è dentro; chi è nel campo, morrà di coltello; e chi è nella città, morrà di pestilenza e di fame.
16 And those who escape wil escape to the mountains and there, like doves of the valleys, I shalslaughter them al , each one for his sin.	16 E saranno salvati quelli che fuggiranno di loro; e saranno ne' monti, come colombe nelle valli, tutti spaurosi, ciascuno nella sua iniquitade.
17 Every hand wil grow limp, every knee turn to water.	17 Tutte le mani saranno dissolute, e tutte le ginocchia abbonderanno d'acque.
18 They wil put on sackcloth, each one trembling. Every face wil be ashamed and every head beshaved.	18 E cignerannosi di cilicii, e la paura coprirà loro; in ogni faccia sarà confusione, e tutti i loro capi saranno calvi.
19 They wil throw their silver away in the streets and their gold they wil regard as a pollution; neithertheir silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of Yahweh's fury. Never again wil they haveenough to eat, never again wil they fil their bellies, since that was the occasion for their guilt.	19 Lo loro argento si getterà fuori, e lo loro oro sarà come sterco. E lo loro argento e lo loro oro non li potrà liberare nel dì del furore di Dio. La loro anima non satureranno, e i loro ventri non si riempieranno; però ch' è fatto lo scandolo della loro iniquitade.
20 They used to pride themselves on the beauty of their jewel ery, out of which they made theirloathsome images, their horrors; so now I have made it pol ute them.	20 E li adornamenti delli loro fornimenti puosero in superbia, e le imagini delle loro idolatrie e delle loro abominazioni feceno di quelli; e per questo diedi a loro quello in immundizia.
21 I shal hand it over as plunder to foreigners, as loot to the most evil people on earth. They wil profaneit.	21 E darò quello in mano delli strani a rubare, e alli malvagi della terra in preda; e contamineranno quello.
22 I shal turn my face away from them, while my treasure-house is profaned and robbers wil force theirway in and profane it.	22 E rivolgerò la mia faccia da loro, e romperanno lo mio segreto; ed entreranno in quello i (percurssori e) satelliti de' principi, e contamineranno quello.
23 "Forge yourself a chain; for the country is full of bloody executions and the city ful of deeds ofviolence,	23 Fa la conclusione; però che la terra è piena di giudicio di sangue, e la città è piena di malvagità.
24 so I shall bring the cruel est of the nations to seize their houses. I shal put an end to the pride of theire'lite, and their sanctuary wil be profaned.	24 E adducerò li pessimi delle genti, e possederanno le loro case; e farò istare cheta la superbia de' potenti, e possederanno i loro santuarii.
25 Terror is on the way: they will look for peace and there wil be none.	25 Sopravegnendo l'angoscia, chiederanno la pace, e non ci sarà.
26 Disaster will fol ow on disaster, rumour on rumour; they will pester the prophet for a vision; the priestwil be at a loss over the law and the elders on how to advise.	26 La conturbazione verrà sopra la conturbazione, e l'udito sopra l' udito; e addomanderanno la visione del profeta, e la legge perirà dal sacerdote, e lo consiglio dalli antichi.
27 The king wil go into mourning, the prince be plunged in grief, the hands of the country people tremble.I shal treat them as their conduct deserves, and judge them as their own verdicts merit. Then they wil know thatI am Yahweh!" '	27 Lo re piagnerà, e lo principe si vestirà di dolore, e le mani del popolo della terra si conturberanno. Io farò loro secondo la loro via, e giudicherolli secondo lo loro giudicio; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio.
