1 Now I am reminding you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you indeed received and in which you also stand.	1 Or vi dichiaro, o fratelli, il Vangelo che v'ho annunziato, che voi avete ricevuto, nel quale state saldi,
2 Through it you are also being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.	2 e pel quale siete anche salvati, se lo ritenete tale e quale ve l'ho predicato, a meno che non abbiate creduto invano.
3 For I handed on to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures;	3 Vi ho infatti insegnato prima di tutto quello che io stesso ho appreso, cioè che Cristo è morto pei nostri peccati, come dicono le Scritture,
4 that he was buried; that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures;	4 che fu sepolto, che risuscitò il terzo giorno, secondo le Scritture,
5 that he appeared to Kephas, then to the Twelve.	5 che apparve a Cefa, e poi agli Undici.
6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.	6 Dipoi apparve a piu di cinquecento fratelli riuniti, dei quali molti vivono ancora, e alcuni sono morti.
7 After that he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.	7 Poi apparve a Giacomo, quindi a tutti gli Apostoli.
8 Last of all, as to one born abnormally, he appeared to me.	8 E finalmente, dopo essere apparso a tutti, apparve anche a me, come all'aborto,
9 For I am the least of the apostles, not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.	9 perchè io sono il minimo degli Apostoli e non sono degno d'esser chiamato apostolo, avendo perseguitato la Chiesa di Dio.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been ineffective. Indeed, I have toiled harder than all of them; not I, however, but the grace of God (that is) with me.	10 Ma per la grazia di Dio son quello che sono, e la grazia che ini ha data non è stata vana, anzi ho faticato più di tutti loro; non io però, ma la grazia di Dio che è con me.
11 Therefore, whether it be I or they, so we preach and so you believed.	11 Tanto io quanto essi, questo abbiamo predicato e questo voi avete creduto.
12 But if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some among you say there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 Or se si predica che Cristo è risuscitato da morte, come fanno alcuni di voi a dire che non v'è risurrezione dei morti?
13 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then neither has Christ been raised.	13 Ma se non v'è risurrezione dei morti, nemmeno Cristo è risuscitato,
14 And if Christ has not been raised, then empty (too) is our preaching; empty, too, your faith.	14 e se Cristo non è risuscitato, è dunque vana la nostra predicazione, vana anche la vostra fede.
15 Then we are also false witnesses to God, because we testified against God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if in fact the dead are not raised.	15 Noi poi siamo anche trovati falsi testimoni di Dio, perchè abbiamo contro di Dio testimoniato che Egli ha risuscitato Cristo, mentre non l'avrebbe risuscitato, se i morti non risorgono.
16 For if the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised,	16 Dìfatti se i morti non risorgono, neppur Cristo è risuscitato.
17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins.	17 E se Cristo non è risorto, è vana la vostra fede, voi siete ancora nei vostri peccati,
18 Then those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.	18 e quindi anche quelli che si sono addormentati in Cristo sono perduti.
19 If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are the most pitiable people of all.	19 Se noi speriamo in Cristo soltanto in questa vita, noi siamo i più miserabili di tutti gli uomini.
20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.	20 Ma ora Cristo è risorto da morte, primizia di quelli che dormono nella tomba.
21 For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead came also through a human being.	21 Infatti come per mezzo d'un uomo è venuta la morte, cosi anche per mezzo d'un uomo è venuta la risurrezione dei morti;
22 For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life,	22 e come tutti muoiono in Adamo, così pure tutti saranno vivificati in Cristo,
23 but each one in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his coming, those who belong to Christ;	23 ma ciascuno a suo luogo: Cristo, primizia, e poi quelli che sono di Cristo, e che han creduto nella sua venuta.
24 then comes the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has destroyed every sovereignty and every authority and power.	24 Poi verrà la fine; quando Egli avrà consegnato il regno a Dio e al Padre, quando avrà annientato ogni principato, ogni potenza ed ogni forza.
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.	25 Perchè è necessario che egli regni « fino a che non abbia posto sotto i piedi tutti i nemici ».
26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death,	26 L'ultimo nemico che sarà distrutto sarà la morte: infatti Dio « tutto ha posto sotto i piedi di lui ». Ma quando è detto
27 for "he subjected everything under his feet." But when it says that everything has been subjected, it is clear that it excludes the one who subjected everything to him.	27 che tutte le cose sono soggette a Cristo, senza dubbio è eccettuato chi gli ha assoggettato ogni cosa.
28 When everything is subjected to him, then the Son himself will (also) be subjected to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.	28 Quando poi ogni cosa gli sarà sottoposta, allora il Figlio stesso farà omaggio a Colui che gli ha sottoposto ogni cosa, affinchè Dio sia tutto in tutti.
29 Otherwise, what will people accomplish by having themselves baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, then why are they having themselves baptized for them?	29 Altrimenti che faranno coloro che si fan battezzare per i morti, se proprio i morti non risorgono? E perchè si fan battezzare per essi?
30 Moreover, why are we endangering ourselves all the time?	30 E perchè anche noi siamo ogni momento in pericolo?
31 Every day I face death; I swear it by the pride in you (brothers) that I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.	31 Tutti i giorni io muoio, (lo giuro) o fratelli, per la gloria vostra, che è mia in Cristo Gesù Signor nostro.
32 If at Ephesus I fought with beasts, so to speak, what benefit was it to me? If the dead are not raised: "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."	32 E che mi serve (umanamente parlando) l'aver combattuto contro le bestie in Efeso, se i morti non risorgono? Mangiamo e beviamo, tanto domani morremo!
33 Do not be led astray: "Bad company corrupts good morals."	33 Non vi lasciate sedurre: i discorsi cattivi corrompono i buoni costumi.
34 Become sober as you ought and stop sinning. For some have no knowledge of God; I say this to your shame.	34 Vegliate, o giusti, e non peccate, perchè vi sono tra voi quelli che ignorano Dio: lo dico a vostra vergogna.
35 But someone may say, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come back?"	35 Ma dirà qualcuno: Come risuscitano i morti? e con qual corpo ritorneranno ?
36 You fool! What you sow is not brought to life unless it dies.	36 stolto! Quel che semini non prende vita, se prima non muore;
37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be but a bare kernel of wheat, perhaps, or of some other kind;	37 e quel che semini non è il corpo che deve venire, ma un nudo granello di frumento o di altra semenza;
38 but God gives it a body as he chooses, and to each of the seeds its own body.	38 e Dio gli dà il corpo che vuole, ad ogni seme il proprio corpo.
39 Not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for human beings, another kind of flesh for animals, another kind of flesh for birds, and another for fish.	39 Non ogni carne è la stessa carne; ma altra è la carne degli uomini, altra quella delle bestie, altra quella degli uccelli, altra quella dei pesci.
40 There are both heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the brightness of the heavenly is one kind and that of the earthly another.	40 Così pure vi son dei corpi celesti e dei corpi terrestri; ma altro è lo splendore dei corpi celesti e altro quello dei terrestri.
41 The brightness of the sun is one kind, the brightness of the moon another, and the brightness of the stars another. For star differs from star in brightness.	41 Altro è poi lo splendore del sole, altro lo splendore della luna, altro lo splendore delle stelle: ed anche fra stella e stella v'è differenza di splendore.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown corruptible; it is raised incorruptible.	42 Così avverrà nella risurrezione dei morti: il corpo si semina nella corruzione e risorge incorruttibile;
43 It is sown dishonorable; it is raised glorious. It is sown weak; it is raised powerful.	43 si semina nell'ignominia, e risorge glorioso; si semina debole, e risorge pieno di forza;
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual one.	44 si semina corpo animale, e risorge corpo spirituale. Se c'è un corpo animale, c'è anche un corpo spirituale. Come è scritto:
45 So, too, it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living being," the last Adam a life-giving spirit.	45 « Il primo uomo, Adamo, fu fatto anima vivente », l'ultimo Adamo è stato fatto spirito vivificante.
46 But the spiritual was not first; rather the natural and then the spiritual.	46 Or non è prima lo spirituale, ma l'animale: lo spirituale vien dopo.
47 The first man was from the earth, earthly; the second man, from heaven.	47 Il primo uomo, tratto dalla terra, è terrestre; il secondo uomo, venuto dal cielo, è celeste.
48 As was the earthly one, so also are the earthly, and as is the heavenly one, so also are the heavenly.	48 Qual è il terrestre tali sono anche i terrestri, e quale è il celeste tali saranno anche i celesti.
49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthly one, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly one.	49 E come abbiamo portato l'imagine del terrestre, così portiamo anche l'imagine del celeste.
50 This I declare, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption.	50 Quello che affermo, o fratelli, è che nè la carne, nè il sangue possono ereditare il regno di Dio, e che la corruzione non potrà ereditare la incorruttibilità.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,	51 Ecco, vi rivelo un mistero: risorgeremo certamente tutti, ma non tutti saremo cangiati.
52 in an instant, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.	52 In un momento, in un batter d'occhio, al suon dell'ultima tromba: suonerà la tromba, e i morti risorgeranno incorrotti, e noi saremo cangiati.
53 For that which is corruptible must clothe itself with incorruptibility, and that which is mortal must clothe itself with immortality.	53 Perchè è necessario che questo corpo corruttibile si rivesta d'incorruttibilità, e che questo corpo mortale si rivesta d'immortalità.
54 And when this which is corruptible clothes itself with incorruptibility and this which is mortal clothes itself with immortality, then the word that is written shall come about: "Death is swallowed up in victory.	54 Quando poi questo corpo mortale sarà rivestito d'immortalità, allora sarà adempiuta la parola che è scritta: La morte è stata assorbita nella vittoria.
55 Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"	55 Dov'è, o morte, la tua vittoria? O morte, dov'è il tuo pungiglione?
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.	56 Or il pungiglione della morte è il peccato e la potenza del peccato vien dalla legge.
57 But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.	57 Ma grazie a Dio, il quale ci ha data la vittoria mediante il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be firm, steadfast, always fully devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.	58 Pertanto, o fratelli miei diletti, state saldi, incrollabili, abbondanti sempre nell'opera del Signore, sapendo che la vostra fatica non è vana nel Signore.
