1 'Canto delle ascensioni.' Quando il Signore ricondusse i prigionieri di Sion, ci sembrava di sognare.	1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Allora la nostra bocca si aprì al sorriso, la nostra lingua si sciolse in canti di gioia. Allora si diceva tra i popoli: "Il Signore ha fatto grandi cose per loro".	2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
3 Grandi cose ha fatto il Signore per noi, ci ha colmati di gioia.	3 The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4 Riconduci, Signore, i nostri prigionieri, come i torrenti del Negheb.	4 Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5 Chi semina nelle lacrime mieterà con giubilo.	5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 Nell'andare, se ne va e piange, portando la semente da gettare, ma nel tornare, viene con giubilo, portando i suoi covoni.	6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
