1 في السنة السابعة والعشرين ليربعام ملك اسرائيل ملك عزريا بن امصيا ملك يهوذا.	1 In the seventeenth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Uzziah son of Amaziah became king of Judah.
2 كان ابن ست عشرة سنة حين ملك وملك اثنتين وخمسين سنة في اورشليم. واسم امه يكليا من اورشليم.	2 He was sixteen years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem.His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
3 وعمل ما هو مستقيم في عيني الرب حسب كل ما عمل امصيا ابوه.	3 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Amaziah had done.
4 ولكن المرتفعات لم تنتزع بل كان الشعب لا يزالون يذبحون ويوقدون على المرتفعات.	4 The high places, however, were not abolished, and the people stil offered sacrifices and incense onthe high places.
5 وضرب الرب الملك فكان ابرص الى يوم وفاته واقام في بيت المرض وكان يوثام ابن الملك على البيت يحكم على شعب الارض.	5 But Yahweh struck the king, and he was afflicted with a virulent skin-disease til his dying day. He livedconfined to his room, while Jotham the king's son, who was master of the palace, governed the country.
6 وبقية امور عزريا وكل ما عمل أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك يهوذا.	6 The rest of the history of Uzziah, his entire career, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals of theKings of Judah?
7 ثم اضطجع عزريا مع آبائه فدفنوه مع آبائه في مدينة داود وملك يوثام ابنه عوضا عنه	7 Then Uzziah fel asleep with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David; his son Jotham thensucceeded him.
8 في السنة الثامنة والثلاثين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك زكريا بن يربعام على اسرائيل في السامرة ستة اشهر.	8 In the thirty-eighth year of Uzziah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel inSamaria for six months.
9 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب كما عمل آباؤه. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ.	9 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, as his fathers had done; he did not give up the sins into whichJeroboam son of Nebat had led Israel. Shal um son of Jabesh plotted against him, murdered him at Ibleam,
10 ففتن عليه شلوم بن يابيش وضربه امام الشعب فقتله وملك عوضا عنه.	10 and succeeded him.
11 وبقية امور زكريا هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.	11 The rest of the history of Zechariah is recorded in the Book of Annals of the Kings of Israel.
12 ذلك كلام الرب الذي كلم به ياهو قائلا بنو الجيل الرابع يجلسون لك على كرسي اسرائيل. وهكذا كان	12 This was the word which Yahweh had spoken to Jehu, 'Your sons will sit on the throne of Israel to thefourth generation.' And so it turned out.
13 شلّوم بن يابيش ملك في السنة التاسعة والثلاثين لعزّيا ملك يهوذا وملك شهر ايام في السامرة.	13 Shal um son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah and reigned forone month in Samaria.
14 وصعد منحيم بن جادي من ترصة وجاء الى السامرة وضرب شلّوم بن يابيش في السامرة فقتله وملك عوضا عنه.	14 Then Menahem son of Gadi marched from Tirzah, entered Samaria, murdered Shal um son of Jabeshthere and succeeded him.
15 وبقية امور شلّوم وفتنته التي فتنها هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.	15 The rest of the history of Shallum, and the plot he hatched, is recorded in the Book of the Annals ofthe Kings of Israel.
16 حينئذ ضرب منحيم تفصح وكل ما بها وتخومها من ترصة لانهم لم يفتحوا له ضربها وشق جميع حواملها	16 Menahem then sacked Tappuah -- kil ing all who were in it -- and its territory from Tirzah onwards,because it had not opened its gates to him; he sacked the town and disembowel ed al the pregnant women.
17 في السنة التاسعة والثلاثين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك منحيم بن جادي على اسرائيل في السامرة عشر سنين	17 In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel. Hereigned for ten years in Samaria.
18 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ كل ايامه.	18 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, he did not give up the sins into which Jeroboam son of Nebathad led Israel. In his days
19 فجاء فول ملك اشور على الارض فاعطى منحيم لفول الف وزنة من الفضة لتكون يداه معه ليثبت المملكة في يده.	19 Pul king of Assyria invaded the country. Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver in return for his support in strengthening his hold on the royal power.
20 ووضع منحيم الفضة على اسرائيل على جميع جبابرة البأس ليدفع لملك اشور خمسين شاقل فضة على كل رجل. فرجع ملك اشور ولم يقم هناك في الارض.	20 Menahem levied this sum from Israel, from al the men of rank, at the rate of fifty shekels a head, tobe given to the king of Assyria, who then withdrew and did not stay in the country.
21 وبقية امور منحيم وكل ما عمل أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.	21 The rest of the history of Menahem, his entire career, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals ofthe Kings of Israel?
22 ثم اضطجع منحيم مع آبائه وملك فقحيا ابنه عوضا عنه	22 Then Menahem fell asleep with his ancestors; his son Pekahiah succeeded him.
23 في السنة الخمسين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك فقحيا بن منحيم على اسرائيل في السامرة سنتين.	23 In the fiftieth year of Uzziah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel inSamaria. He reigned for two years.
24 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ.	24 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh; he did not give up the sins into which Jeroboam son of Nebathad led Israel.
25 ففتن عليه فقح بن رمليا ثالثه وضربه في السامرة في قصر بيت الملك مع ارجوب ومع أريه ومعه خمسون رجلا من بني الجلعاديين. قتله وملك عوضا عنه.	25 Pekah son of Remaliah, his equerry, plotted against him and assassinated him in the palace keep . . .He had fifty Gileadites with him. He kil ed the king and succeeded him.
26 وبقية امور فقحيا وكل ما عمل ها هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل	26 The rest of the history of Pekahiah, his entire career, is recorded in the Book of the Annals of theKings of Israel.
27 في السنة الثانية والخمسين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك فقح بن رمليا على اسرائيل في السامرة عشرين سنة.	27 In the fifty-second year of Uzziah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king of Israel inSamaria. He reigned for twenty years.
28 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ.	28 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh; he did not give up the sins into which Jeroboam son of Nebathad led Israel.
29 في ايام فقح ملك اسرائيل جاء تغلث فلاسر ملك اشور واخذ عيون وآبل بيت معكة ويانوح وقادش وحاصور وجلعاد والجليل كل ارض نفتالي وسباهم الى اشور.	29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-Beth-Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead and Galilee -- the whole territory of Naphtali and deported thepopulation to Assyria.
30 وفتن هوشع بن ايلة على فقح بن رمليا وضربه فقتله وملك عوضا عنه في السنة العشرين ليوثام بن عزّيا.	30 Hoshea son of Elah hatched a plot against Pekah son of Remaliah; he murdered the king andsucceeded him.
31 وبقية امور فقح وكل ما عمل هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.	31 The rest of the history of Pekah, his entire career, is recorded in the Book of the Annals of the Kingsof Israel.
32 في السنة الثانية لفقح بن رمليا ملك اسرائيل ملك يوثام بن عزّيا ملك يهوذا.	32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah became king ofJudah.
33 كان ابن خمس وعشرين سنة حين ملك وملك ست عشرة سنة في اورشليم واسم امه يروشا ابنة صادوق.	33 He was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.
34 وعمل ما هو مستقيم في عيني الرب. عمل حسب كل ما عمل عزّيا ابوه.	34 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done.
35 الا ان المرتفعات لم تنتزع بل كان الشعب لا يزالون يذبحون ويوقدون على المرتفعات. هو بنى الباب الأعلى لبيت الرب.	35 The high places, however, were not abolished, and the people stil offered sacrifices and incense onthe high places. It was he who built the Upper Gate of the Temple of Yahweh.
36 وبقية امور يوثام وكل ما عمل أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك يهوذا.	36 The rest of the history of Jotham, his entire career, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals ofthe Kings of Judah?
37 في تلك الايام ابتدأ الرب يرسل على يهوذا رصين ملك ارام وفقح بن رمليا.	37 At that time Yahweh began sending Razon king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.
38 واضطجع يوثام مع آبائه ودفن مع آبائه في مدينة داود ابيه وملك آحاز ابنه عوضا عنه	38 Then Jotham fel asleep with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David, his ancestor; his sonAhaz succeeded him.
