1 But you are to speak the things that befit sound doctrine.	1 Ma tu insegna ciò che è conforme alla sana dottrina:
2 Old men should be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.	2 che i vecchi siano sobrii, pudichi, prudenti, sani nella fede, nella carità, nella pazienza;
3 Old women, similarly, should be in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well,	3 se le vecchie parimenti abbiano un contegno santo, non sian maldicenti, nè dedite al, vino, ma sian maestre nel bene;
4 so that they may teach prudence to the young women, so that they may love their husbands, love their children,	4 per insegnare alle giovani la prudenza, ad amare i loro mariti, a tener di conto dei loro figlioli,
5 be sensible, chaste, restrained, have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed.	5 ad essere sagge, caste, sobrie, attente alla | casa, buone, soggette ai loro mariti, affinché non si dica male della parola di Dio.
6 Exhort young men similarly, so that they may show self-restraint.	6 Esorta pure i giovani ad essere temperanti.
7 In all things, present yourself as an example of good works: in doctrine, with integrity, with seriousness,	7 In ogni cosa mostrati modello di buone opere, nella dottrina, nell’integrità, nella gravità.
8 with sound words, irreproachably, so that he who is an opponent may dread that he has nothing evil to say about us.	8 Il parlare sia sano, irreprensibile, in modo che l’avversario, resti, confuso, non potendo: dir male di, voi.
9 Exhort servants to be submissive to their masters, in all things pleasing, not contradicting,	9 Ai, servi, raccomanda di star sottomessi ai loro padroni, di, compiacerli in ogni cosa, senza rivoltarsi,
10 not cheating, but in all things showing good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.	10 senza rubare, ma dimostrare in tutto, perfetta fedeltà, per fare in tutto onore alla dottrina del, Salvatore nostro Dio.
11 For the grace of God our Savior has appeared to all men,	11 Apparve infatti la grazia di Dio nostro Salvatore a tutti gli uomini,

13 looking forward to the blessed hope and the advent of the glory of the great God and of our Savior Jesus Christ.	13 attendendo la beata speranza, la manifestazione gloriosa del gran Dio e Salvatore nostro Gesù Cristo,
14 He gave himself for our sake, so that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse for himself an acceptable people, pursuers of good works.	14 il quale diede se stesso per noi, affine di riscattarci da ogni iniquità e purificarsi un popolo tutto suo, zelatore di opere buone.
15 Speak and exhort and argue these things with all authority. Let no one despise you.	15 Così insegna, esorta è riprendi con ogni autorità e nessuno ti disprezzi.
