Ezekiel 13

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 “Son of man, prophesy to the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and you shall say to those who prophesy from their own heart: Hear the word of the Lord:	2 Fils d'homme, prophétise contre les prophètes d'Israël; prophétise et dis à ceux qui prophétisent deleur propre chef: Ecoutez la parole de Yahvé.
3 Thus says the Lord God: Woe to the foolish prophets, who are following their own spirit, and who see nothing.	3 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: Malheur aux prophètes insensés qui suivent leur propre esprit sansrien voir!
4 Your prophets, O Israel, were like foxes in the deserts.	4 Comme des chacals dans les ruines, tels furent tes prophètes, Israël.
5 You have not gone up against the adversary, and you have not established a wall for the house of Israel, so as to stand in battle on the day of the Lord.	5 Vous n'êtes pas montés aux brèches, vous n'avez pas construit une enceinte pour la maisond'Israël, pour tenir ferme dans le combat, au jour de Yahvé.
6 They see emptiness, and they foretell falsehoods, saying, ‘The Lord says,’ though the Lord has not sent them. And they continued to affirm what they said.	6 Ils ont des visions vaines, un présage mensonger, ceux qui disent: "Oracle de Yahvé" sans queYahvé les ait envoyés; et ils attendent la confirmation de leur parole.
7 Have you not seen a futile vision and spoken a lying divination? And yet you say, ‘The Lord says,’ though I have not spoken.	7 N'est-il pas vrai que vous n'avez que visions vaines et n'annoncez que présages mensongers quandvous dites: "Oracle de Yahvé", alors que moi, je n'ai pas parlé?
8 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Since you have spoken emptiness and have seen falsehoods, therefore: behold, I am against you, says the Lord God.	8 Eh bien! ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: A cause de vos paroles vaines et de vos visionsmensongères, oui, je me déclare contre vous, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
9 And my hand will be over the prophets who are seeing emptiness and divining lies. They shall not be in the council of my people, and they shall not be written in the writing of the house of Israel. Neither shall they enter into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.	9 J'étendrai la main sur les prophètes aux visions vaines et à la prédiction mensongère: ils ne serontpas admis au conseil de mon peuple, ils ne seront pas inscrits au livre de la maison d'Israël, ils ne pénétreront passur le sol d'Israël, et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur Yahvé.
10 For they have deceived my people, saying, ‘Peace,’ and there is no peace. And they have built a wall, but they have covered it in clay without straw.	10 C'est qu'en effet, ils égarent mon peuple en disant: "Paix!" alors qu'il n'y a pas de paix. Tandisqu'il bâtit une muraille, les voici qui la couvrent de crépi.
11 Say to those who spread mortar without mixing, that it will fall apart. For there will be an inundating rain, and I will cause full-grown hailstones to rush down from above, and a windstorm to dissipate it.	11 Dis à ceux qui la couvrent de crépi: Qu'il y ait une pluie torrentielle, qu'il tombe des grêlons,qu'un vent de tempête soit déchaîné,
12 So then, behold: when the wall has fallen, will it not be said to you: ‘Where is the mortar with which you covered it?’	12 et voilà le mur abattu! Ne vous dira-t-on pas: "Où est le crépi dont vous l'avez recouvert?"
13 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: And I will cause a violent wind to burst forth in my indignation, and there will be an inundating rain in my fury, and great hailstones in wrath, to consume.	13 Eh bien! ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: Je vais déchaîner un vent de tempête dans ma fureur, il yaura une pluie torrentielle dans ma colère, des grêlons dans ma rage de destruction.
14 And I will destroy the wall that you have covered without tempering it. And I will level it to the ground, and its foundation will be revealed. And it will fall and be consumed in its midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.	14 J'abattrai le mur que vous aurez couvert de crépi, je le jetterai à terre et ses fondations serontmises à nu. Il tombera et vous périrez sous lui, et vous saurez que je suis Yahvé.
15 And I will fulfill my indignation against the wall, and against those who cover it without mixing the mortar, and I will say to you: The wall is no more, and those who covered it are no more:	15 Quand j'aurai assouvi ma fureur contre le mur et contre ceux qui le couvrent de crépi, je vousdirai: Le mur n'est plus, ni ceux qui le crépissaient,
16 the prophets of Israel, who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace, says the Lord God.	16 les prophètes d'Israël qui prophétisent sur Jérusalem et qui ont pour elle une vision de paix alorsqu'il n'y a pas de paix, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
17 And as for you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy from their own heart. And prophesy about them,	17 Et toi, fils d'homme, tourne-toi vers les filles de ton peuple qui prophétisent de leur propre chef,et prophétise contre elles.
18 and say: Thus says the Lord God: Woe to those who sew together little pillows under every forearm, and who make little cushions for the heads of every stage of life, in order to capture souls. And when they have seized the souls of my people, they became the life of their souls.	18 Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Malheur à celles qui cousent des rubans sur tous lespoignets, qui fabriquent des voiles pour la tête de gens de toutes tailles, afin de prendre au piège les âmes! Vousprenez au piège les âmes des gens de mon peuple et vous épargneriez vos propres âmes?
19 And they violated me among my people, for the sake of a handful of barley and a fragment of bread, so that they would kill the souls that should not die, and enliven the souls that should not live, lying to my people who believe in falsehoods.	19 Vous me déshonorez devant mon peuple pour quelques poignées d'orge et quelques morceaux depain, en faisant mourir des gens qui ne doivent pas mourir, en épargnant ceux qui ne doivent pas vivre, et enmentant à mon peuple qui écoute le mensonge.
20 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against your little pillows, with which you catch flying souls. And I will tear them away from your arms. And I will release the souls that you are capturing, the souls that should fly.	20 Eh bien! ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: Voici que je vais m'en prendre à vos rubans, aveclesquels vous prenez au piège les âmes comme des oiseaux. Je les déchirerai sur vos bras et je libérerai les âmesque vous essayez de prendre au piège comme des oiseaux.
21 And I will tear away your little cushions. And I will free my people from your hand. And they shall no longer be a prey in your hands. And you shall know that I am the Lord.	21 Je déchirerai vos voiles et je délivrerai mon peuple de votre main, pour qu'il ne soit plus ungibier dans votre main. Et vous saurez que je suis Yahvé.
22 For by deception you have caused the heart of the just to grieve, whom I would not sadden. And I have strengthened the hands of the impious, so that he would not be turned back from his evil way and live.	22 Pour avoir intimidé le coeur du juste par des mensonges, alors que je ne l'avais pas affligé, etavoir fortifié les mains du méchant pour qu'il ne renonce pas à sa mauvaise conduite afin de retrouver la vie,
23 Therefore, you shall not see emptiness, and you shall not divine divinations, any more. And I will rescue my people from your hand. And you shall know that I am the Lord.”	23 eh bien! vous n'aurez plus de vaines visions et ne prononcerez plus de prédictions. Je délivreraimon peuple de votre main, et vous saurez que je suis Yahvé.
