1 And so these are the leaders of the families, with their genealogy, of those who ascended with me from Babylon, during the reign of king Artaxerxes.	1 Ουτοι δε ειναι οι αρχηγοι των πατριων αυτων, και η γενεαλογια των συναναβαντων μετ' εμου απο της Βαβυλωνος, επι της βασιλειας Αρταξερξου του βασιλεως.
2 From the sons of Phinehas, Gershom. From the sons of Ithamar, Daniel. From the sons of David, Hattush.	2 Εκ των υιων Φινεες, Γηρσωμ? εκ των υιων Ιθαμαρ, Δανιηλ? εκ των υιων Δαβιδ, Χαττους.
3 From the sons of Shecaniah, the son of Parosh, Zechariah, and one hundred fifty men were numbered with him.	3 Εκ των υιων Σεχανια, του εκ των υιων Φαρως, Ζαχαριας? και μετ' αυτου ηριθμηθησαν κατα γενεαλογιαν τα αρσενικα εκατον πεντηκοντα.
4 From the sons of Pahath-moab, Eliehoenai, the son of Zerahiah, and two hundred men were with him.	4 Εκ των υιων του Φααθ-μωαβ, Ελιωηναι ο υιος του Ζεραια, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα διακοσιοι.
5 From the sons of Shecaniah, the son of Jahaziel, and three hundred men were with him.	5 Εκ των υιων Σεχανια, ο υιος του Ιααζιηλ, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα τριακοσιοι.
6 From the sons of Adin, Ebed, the son of Jonathan, and fifty men were with him.	6 Και εκ των υιων Αδιν, Εβεδ ο υιος του Ιωναθαν, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα πεντηκοντα.
7 From the sons of Elam, Jeshaiah, the son of Athaliah, and seventy men were with him.	7 Και εκ των υιων Ελαμ, Ιεσαιας ο υιος του Γοθολια, και μετ' αυτου εβδομηκοντα.
8 From the sons of Shephatiah, Zebadiah, the son of Michael, and eighty men were with him.	8 Και εκ των υιων Σεφατια, Ζεβαδιας ο υιος του Μιχαηλ, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα ογδοηκοντα.
9 From the sons of Joab, Obadiah, the son of Jehiel, and two hundred eighteen men were with him.	9 Εκ των υιων Ιωαβ, Οβαδια ο υιος του Ιεχιηλ, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα διακοσιοι δεκαοκτω.
10 From the sons of Shelomith, the son of Josiphiah, and one hundred sixty men were with him.	10 Και εκ των υιων του Σελωμειθ, ο υιος του Ιωσιφια, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα εκατον εξηκοντα.
11 From the sons of Bebai, Zechariah, the son of Bebai, and twenty-eight men were with him.	11 Και εκ των υιων Βηβαι, Ζαχαριας ο υιος του Βηβαι, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα εικοσιοκτω.
12 From the sons of Azgad, Johanan, the son of Hakkatan, and one hundred and ten men were with him.	12 Και εκ των υιων Αζγαδ, Ιωαναν ο υιος του Ακκαταν, και μετ' αυτου τα αρσενικα εκατον δεκα.
13 From the sons of Adonikam, who were the last, and these were their names: Eliphelet, and Jeuel, and Shemaiah, and sixty men were with them.	13 Και εκ των υιων Αδωνικαμ οι τελευταιοι, και ταυτα τα ονοματα αυτων, Ελιφελετ, Ιειηλ και Σεμαιας, και μετ' αυτων τα αρσενικα εξηκοντα.
14 From the sons of Bigvai, Uthai and Zaccur, and seventy men were with them.	14 Εκ δε των υιων Βιγουαι, Γουθαι και Ζαββουδ, και μετ' αυτων τα αρσενικα εβδομηκοντα.
15 Now I gathered them together at the river that runs down to Ahava, and we stayed there for three days. And I sought among the people and among the priests for the sons of Levi, and I found none there.	15 Και συνηθροισα αυτους παρα τον ποταμον, τον ρεοντα προς Ααβα, και εκει κατεσκηνωσαμεν τρεις ημερας? και παρετηρησα μεταξυ του λαου και των ιερεων και δεν ευρηκα εκει ουδενα εκ των υιων του Λευι.
16 And so I sent Eliezer, and Ariel, and Shemaiah, and Elnathan, and Jarib, and another Elnathan, and Nathan, and Zechariah, and Meshullam, who were leaders, and Joiarib and Elnathan, who were wise.	16 Τοτε απεστειλα προς τον Ελιεζερ, τον Αριηλ, τον Σεμαιαν και τον Ελναθαν και τον Ιαρειβ και τον Ελναθαν και τον Ναθαν και τον Ζαχαριαν και τον Μεσουλλαμ, τους αρχοντας? και τον Ιωιαριβ, και τον Ελναθαν, συνετους.
17 And I sent them to Iddo, who is first within the place of Casiphia. And I placed in their mouth the words that they should speak to Iddo and his brothers, the temple servants, in the place of Casiphia, so that they would lead to us ministers for the house of our God.	17 Και εδωκα εις αυτους παραγγελιαν προς τον Ιδδω τον αρχοντα, εν τω τοπω Κασιφια, και εβαλον εις το στομα αυτων λογους δια να λαλησωσι προς τον Ιδδω και τους αδελφους αυτου τους Νεθινειμ, εν τω τοπω Κασιφια, δια να πεμψωσι προς ημας λειτουργους δια τον οικον του Θεου ημων.
18 And because the good hand of our God was over us, they led to us a very learned man from the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel, with Sherebiah, and his sons, and his eighteen brothers,	18 Και κατα την εφ' ημας αγαθην χειρα του Θεου ημων εφεραν προς ημας ανδρα συνετον, εκ των υιων Μααλι, υιου του Λευι, υιου Ισραηλ? και τον Σερεβιαν μετα των υιων αυτου και των αδελφων αυτου, δεκαοκτω?
19 and Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah, of the sons of Merari, and his brothers, and his sons, numbering twenty.	19 και τον Ασαβιαν, και μετ' αυτου τον Ιεσαιαν εκ των υιων Μεραρι, τους αδελφους αυτου και τους υιους αυτων, εικοσι?
20 And from the temple servants, whom David, and the leaders had provided for the ministry of the Levites, there were two hundred twenty temple servants. All these were called by their names.	20 και εκ των Νεθινειμ, τους οποιους ο Δαβιδ και οι αρχοντες διωρισαν δια την υπηρεσιαν των Λευιτων, διακοσιους εικοσι Νεθινειμ? παντες ουτοι ησαν σεσημειωμενοι κατ' ονομα.
21 And I proclaimed a fast in that place, beside the river Ahava, so that we might afflict ourselves in the sight of the Lord our God, and so that we might request of him the right way for us, and for our sons, and for all our substance.	21 Τοτε εκηρυξα εκει νηστειαν παρα τον ποταμον Ααβα, οπως ταπεινωθεντες ενωπιον του Θεου ημων, ζητησωμεν παρ' αυτου ευθειαν οδον δια ημας και δια τα τεκνα ημων και δια παντα τα υπαρχοντα ημων.
22 For I was ashamed to petition the king for assistance and for horsemen, who would defend us from the enemy along the way. For we had said to the king: “The hand of our God is over all those who seek him in goodness. And his authority, and his strength and fury, is over all those who forsake him.”	22 Διοτι ησχυνθην να ζητησω παρα του βασιλεως δυναμιν και ιππεις δια να βοηθησωσιν ημας εναντιον του εχθρου καθ' οδον? επειδη ειχομεν ειπει προς τον βασιλεα, λεγοντες, Η χειρ του Θεου ημων ειναι προς αγαθον επι παντας τους ζητουντας αυτον? το δε κρατος αυτου και η οργη αυτου επι παντας τους εγκαταλειποντας αυτον.
23 And so we fasted and begged our God for this; and as a result, we prospered.	23 Ενηστευσαμεν λοιπον και ικετευσαμεν τον Θεον ημων περι τουτου? και εγεινεν ιλεως προς ημας.
24 And I separated twelve from among the leaders of the priests: Sherebiah, and Hashabiah, and with them ten of their brothers.	24 Τοτε εχωρισα δωδεκα εκ των αρχοντων των ιερεων, τον Σερεβιαν, τον Ασαβιαν και μετ' αυτων δεκα εκ των αδελφων αυτων.
25 And I weighed out to them the silver and the gold, and the vessels consecrated to the house of our God, which had been offered by the king, and by his counselors and his leaders, and by all those of Israel who had been found.	25 Και εζυγισα εις αυτους το αργυριον και το χρυσιον και τα σκευη, την προσφοραν του οικου του Θεου ημων, την οποιαν προσεφεραν ο βασιλευς και οι συμβουλοι αυτου και οι αρχοντες αυτου και πας ο παρευρεθεις Ισραηλ?
26 And I weighed out to their hands six hundred fifty talents of silver, and one hundred vessels of silver, and one hundred talents of gold,	26 εζυγισα λοιπον και παρεδωκα εις την χειρα αυτων εξακοσια πεντηκοντα ταλαντα αργυριου, και σκευη αργυρα εκατον ταλαντων, και εκατον ταλαντα χρυσιου?
27 and twenty gold bowls which had the weight of one thousand coins, and two vessels of the finest shining brass, as beautiful as gold.	27 και εικοσι φιαλας χρυσας, χιλιων δραχμων, και δυο σκευη εκ χαλκου στιλβοντος καλου, πολυτιμα ως χρυσιον.
28 And I said to them: “You are the holy ones of the Lord, and the vessels are holy, with the silver and the gold, which has been offered freely to the Lord, the God of our fathers.	28 Και ειπον προς αυτους, Σεις εισθε αγιοι εις τον Κυριον, και τα σκευη αγια? και το αργυριον και το χρυσιον αυτοπροαιρετος προσφορα εις Κυριον τον Θεον των πατερων σας.
29 Watch and guard them, until you weigh them out before the leaders of the priests and the Levites, and the rulers of the families of Israel in Jerusalem, into the treasury of the house of the Lord.”	29 Προσεχετε και φυλαττετε αυτα, εωσου ζυγισητε εμπροσθεν των αρχοντων των ιερεων και των Λευιτων και των αρχοντων των πατριων του Ισραηλ, εν Ιερουσαλημ, εντος των οικηματων του οικου του Κυριου.
30 Then the priests and the Levites received the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, so that they might carry these to Jerusalem, into the house of our God.	30 Και παρελαβον οι ιερεις και οι Λευιται το βαρος του αργυριου και του χρυσιου και τα σκευη, δια να φερωσιν αυτα εις Ιερουσαλημ, προς τον οικον του Θεου ημων.
31 Therefore, we set out from the river Ahava, on the twelfth day of the first month, so that we might travel to Jerusalem. And the hand of our God was over us, and he freed us from the hand of the enemy and of those who lay in ambush along the way.	31 Και εσηκωθημεν απο του ποταμου Ααβα την δωδεκατην του πρωτου μηνος, δια να υπαγωμεν εις Ιερουσαλημ? και η χειρ του Θεου ημων ητο εφ' ημας, και ηλευθερωσεν ημας εκ χειρος εχθρου και ενεδρευοντος εν τη οδω.
32 And we arrived at Jerusalem, and we stayed there for three days.	32 Και ηλθομεν εις Ιερουσαλημ? και εκαθησαμεν εκει τρεις ημερας.
33 Then, on the fourth day, the silver and the gold and the vessels were weighed out in the house of our God, by the hand of Meremoth, the son of Uriah, the priest; and with him was Eleazar, the son of Phinehas, and with them were the Levites, Jozabad, the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah, the son of Binnui.	33 Την τεταρτην δε ημεραν εζυγισθη το αργυριον και το χρυσιον και τα σκευη, εν τω οικω του Θεου ημων, και παρεδοθη δια χειρος του Μερημωθ υιου του Ουρια του ιερεως? και μετ' αυτου ητο Ελεαζαρ ο υιος του Φινεες? και μετ' αυτων Ιωζαβαδ, ο υιος του Ιησου, και Νωαδιας ο υιος του Βιννουι, οι Λευιται?
34 This was done according to the number and weight of everything; and every weight was written down at that time.	34 κατα αριθμον και κατα βαρος τα παντα? και απαν το βαρος εγραφη εν τη ωρα εκεινη.
35 Moreover, those who came from the captivity, the sons of the transmigration, offered holocausts to the God of Israel: twelve calves on behalf of all the people of Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and twelve he-goats for sin. All these were a holocaust to the Lord.	35 Οι υιοι της μετοικεσιας, οι ελθοντες απο της αιχμαλωσιας, προσεφεραν ολοκαυτωματα προς τον θεον του Ισραηλ, δωδεκα μοσχους υπερ παντος του Ισραηλ, ενενηκοντα εξ κριους, εβδομηκοντα επτα αρνια, δωδεκα τραγους περι αμαρτιας, τα παντα ολοκαυτωμα εις τον Κυριον.
36 Then they gave the edicts of the king to the rulers who served in the sight of the king, and to the governors beyond the river, and they exalted the people and the house of God.	36 Και παρεδωκαν τα προσταγματα του βασιλεως εις τους σατραπας του βασιλεως και εις τους επαρχους τους περαν του ποταμου? και ουτοι εβοηθησαν τον λαον και τον οικον του Θεου.
