1 And so, all of Israel was numbered. And the sum of them was written in the book of the kings of Israel and of Judah. And they were taken away to Babylon because of their transgression.	1 COSÌ tutti gl’Israeliti furono annoverati per le lor generazioni; ed ecco, sono descritti nel libro dei re d’Israele. 2 Now the first who lived in their possessions and in their cities were Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, and the temple servants.	2 e che i primieri abitatori, ch’erano altre volte dimorati nelle lor possessioni, furono ritornati nelle lor città: Israeliti, sacerdoti, Leviti, e Netinei;
3 Staying in Jerusalem were some from the sons of Judah, and from the sons of Benjamin, and also from the sons of Ephraim and of Manasseh:	3 in Gerusalemme abitarono dei figliuoli di Giuda, e de’ figliuoli di Beniamino, e de’ figliuoli di Efraim e di Manasse:
4 Uthai, the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, from the sons of Perez, the son of Judah.	4 Utai, figliuolo di Ammihud, figliuolo di Omri, figliuolo d’Imri, figliuolo di Bani, de’ figliuoli di Fares, figliuolo di Giuda.
5 And from Shiloni: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.	5 E de’ Siloniti: Asaia il primogenito, ed i suoi figliuoli.
6 Then from the sons of Zerah: Jeuel, and their brothers, six hundred ninety.	6 E de’ figliuoli di Zara: Ieuel, ed i suoi fratelli in numero di seicennovanta.
7 And from the sons of Benjamin: Sallu, the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;	7 E de’ figliuoli di Beniamino: Sallu, figliuolo di Mesullam, figliuolo di Hodavia, figliuolo di Hassenua;
8 and Ibneiah, the son of Jeroham; and Elah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri; and Meshullam, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Ibnijah;	8 ed Ibnea, figliuolo di Ieroham, ed Ela, figliuolo di Uzzi, figliuolo di Micri; e Mesullam, figliuolo di Sefatia, figliuolo di Reuel, figliuolo d’Ibnia;
9 and their brothers according to their families, nine hundred fifty-six. All these were leaders of their kindred, according to the houses of their fathers.	9 ed i lor fratelli, spartiti per le lor generazioni, in numero di novecencinquantasei; tutti coloro furono capi di famiglie paterne della casa de’ lor padri.

11 and also Azariah, the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the high priest of the house of God;	11 ed Azaria, figliuolo d’Hilchia, figliuolo di Mesullam, figliuolo di Sadoc, figliuolo di Meraiot, figliuolo di Ahitub, conduttore della Casa di Dio.
12 then Adaiah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah; and Maasai, the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;	12 Ed Adaia, figliuolo di Ieroham, figliuolo di Pashur, figliuolo di Malchia; e Masai, figliuolo di Adiel, figliuolo di Iazera, figliuolo di Mesullam, figliuolo di Messillemit, figliuolo d’Immer;

14 Then from the Levites: Shemaiah, the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;	14 E de’ Leviti: Semaia, figliuolo di Hassub, figliuolo di Azricam, figliuolo di Hasabia, de’ figliuoli di Merari.
15 and also Bakbakkar the carpenter; and Galal; and Mattaniah, the son of Mica, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;	15 E Bacbaccar, ed Heres, e Galal, e Mattania, figliuolo di Mica, figliuolo di Zicri, figliuolo di Asaf;
16 and Obadiah, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah, the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who lived at the entrance to Netophah.	16 ed Obaidia, figliuolo di Semaia, figliuolo di Galal, figliuolo di Iedutun; e Berechia, figliuolo di Asa, figliuolo di Elcana, il quale abitò nelle villate de’ Netofatiti.
17 Now the gatekeepers were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman; and their brother Shallum was the leader.	17 E de’ portinai: Sallum, ed Accub, e Talmon, ed Ahiman, co’ lor fratelli, dei quali fu capo Sallum;
18 For until that time, at the gate of the king to the east, the sons of Levi served in their turns.	18 e lo è infino ad ora, ed ha la guardia della porta del re, verso Oriente; costoro furono portinai, fra le schiere de’ figliuoli di Levi;
19 Truly, Shallum, the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, with his brothers and his father’s house, these Korahites, were over the works of the ministry of keeping the vestibules of the tabernacle. And their families, in turns, were keepers of the entrance to the camp of the Lord.	19 come Sallum, figliuolo di Core, figliuolo di Ebiasaf, figliuolo di Core, ed i suoi fratelli Coriti, della casa paterna di esso, nell’opera del ministerio erano stati guardiani della soglia del Tabernacolo; come i lor padri nel campo del Signore, erano stati guardiani dell’entrata;
20 Now Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, was their ruler before the Lord.	20 e Finees, figliuolo di Eleazaro, col quale il Signore era, anticamente era stato conduttore sopra loro;

22 All these, chosen as porters for the gates, were two hundred twelve. 25 Now their brothers were staying in the villages, and they arrived on their Sabbaths, from time to time.	25 E i lor fratelli, ch’erano nelle lor villate, aveano da venire a dimorar con essi per sette giorni, di tempo in tempo.
26 To these four Levites were entrusted the entire number of the gatekeepers, and they were over the chambers and storehouses of the house of the Lord.	26 Perciocchè quei quattro maggiori portinai Leviti erano del continuo in ufficio, ed aveano la cura delle camere, e tesori della Casa di Dio.
27 And they remained in their watches, on all sides of the temple of the Lord, so that, when the time had arrived, they might open the gates in the morning.	27 E giacevano la notte intorno alla Casa di Dio; perciocchè la guardia ne era loro imposta, ed aveano il carico di aprirla ogni mattina.
28 Some from their kindred were also over the vessels of the ministry. For the vessels were both carried in and carried out according to number.	28 Ed alcuni di loro aveano la cura dei vasellamenti del servigio; perciocchè si portavano dentro a conto, e si traevano altresì fuori a conto.
29 Some of them also were entrusted with the equipment of the sanctuary; they were in charge of the fine wheat flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the aromatics.	29 Ed altri di loro erano costituiti sopra le altre masserizie, e sopra tutti gli arredi sacri, e sopra il fior della farina, e sopra il vino, e sopra l’olio, e sopra l’incenso, e sopra gli aromati.
30 Now the sons of the priests composed the ointments from the aromatics.	30 Ma quelli che componevano il profumo degli aromati, erano de’ figliuoli de’ sacerdoti.
31 And Mattithiah, a Levite, the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, was in charge of those things that were cooked in a frying pan.	31 E d’infra i Leviti, Mattitia, primogenito di Sallum, Corita, avea il carico di ciò che si coceva in su la tegghia.
32 Now some of the sons of Kohath, their brothers, were over the bread of the presence, so that they might continually prepare it new for each Sabbath.	32 E d’infra i lor fratelli, figliuoli de’ Chehatiti, alcuni aveano la cura de’ pani disposti per ordine, per apparecchiarli ogni sabato.
33 These are the leaders of the singing men, according to the families of the Levites, who were dwelling in the chambers, so that they might carry out their ministry continually, day and night.	33 Altri eziandio erano cantori, capi di famiglie paterne de’ Leviti, i quali stavano nelle camere, esenti d’altra cura; perciocchè l’ufficio loro richiedeva che fossero giorno e notte in opera.
34 The heads of the Levites, leaders according to their families, abode in Jerusalem.	34 Questi furono i capi delle famiglie paterne dei Leviti, capi delle lor generazioni. Essi abitarono in Gerusalemme
35 Now in Gibeon, there lived Jeiel, the father of Gibeon, and the name of his wife was Maacah.	35 Or in Gabaon abitò Ieiel, padre di Gabaon; ed il nome della sua moglie era Maaca.
36 His firstborn son was Abdon, and then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,	36 E il suo figliuolo primogenito fu Abdon; poi ebbe Sur, e Chis,
37 as well as Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.	37 e Baal, e Ner, e Nadab, e Ghedor, ed Ahio, e Zaccaria, e Miclot.
38 Then Mikloth conceived Shimeam. These lived opposite their brothers in Jerusalem, with their brothers.	38 E Miclot generò Simeam; ed essi abitarono dirimpetto ai lor fratelli in Gerusalemme, co’ lor fratelli.
39 Now Ner conceived Kish, and Kish conceived Saul. And Saul conceived Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.	39 E Ner generò Chis, e Chis generò Saulle, e Saulle generò Gionatan, e Malchi-sua, ed Abinadab, ed Esbaal.

41 Now the sons of Micah were Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.	41 Ed i figliuoli di Mica furono Piton, e Melec, e Tarea, ed Achaz,
42 And Ahaz conceived Jarah. And Jarah conceived Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri. Then Zimri conceived Moza.	42 il quale generò Iara. E Iara generò Alemet, ed Azmavet, e Zimri; e Zimri generò Mosa.
43 Truly, Moza conceived Binea, whose son, Rephaiah, conceived Eleasah, from of whom was born Azel.	43 E Mosa generò Bina, di cui fu figliuolo Refaia, di cui fu figliuolo Elasa, di cui fu figliuolo Asel.
44 Now Azel had six sons, whose names are: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, Hanan. These are the sons of Azel.	44 Ed Asel ebbe sei figliuoli, i cui nomi sono: Azricam, e Bocru, ed Ismaele, e Searia, ed Obadia, ed Hanan. Questi furono i figliuoli di Asel
