1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron:	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè e ad Aronne:
2 "Among the Levites take a total of the Kohathites, by clans and ancestral houses, all the men of the Kohathites	2 "Fa' il conto dei figli di Keat tra i figli di Levi, secondo le loro famiglie, le loro case paterne,
3 between thirty and fifty years of age; these are to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent.	3 da trent'anni in su fino a cinquanta, chiunque può essere schierato nell'esercito, per fare il lavoro nella tenda del convegno.
4 "The service of the Kohathites in the meeting tent concerns the most sacred objects.	4 Questo è il servizio dei figli di Keat nella tenda della riunione: le cose santissime.
5 In breaking camp, Aaron and his sons shall go in and take down the screening curtain and cover the ark of the commandments with it.	5 Quando si toglierà il campo, verranno Aronne e i suoi figli, smonteranno il velo di protezione e copriranno con esso l'arca della testimonianza.

7 On the table of the Presence they shall spread a violet cloth and put on it the plates and cups, as well as the bowls and pitchers for libations; the established bread offering shall remain on the table.	7 Sulla tavola della presentazione stenderanno un drappo purpureo e vi porranno i piatti, i cucchiai, le tazze, le coppe per bere: ci sarà anche il pane perenne.
8 Over these they shall spread a scarlet cloth and cover all this with tahash skin. They shall then put the poles in place.	8 Stenderanno sopra quelli un drappo purpureo e lo avvolgeranno con una coperta di pelle conciata e vi porranno le stanghe.
9 They shall use a violet cloth to cover the lampstand with its lamps, trimming shears, and trays, as well as the various containers of oil from which it is supplied.	9 Prenderanno un drappo purpureo e copriranno il candelabro della luce, le sue lampade, le sue molle, i suoi smoccolatoi e tutti i vasi a olio destinati al suo servizio.
10 The lampstand with all its utensils they shall then enclose in a covering of tahash skin, and place on a litter.	10 Porranno quello e tutti i suoi oggetti su una coperta di pelle conciata e li porranno sulla portantina.
11 Over the golden altar they shall spread a violet cloth, and cover this also with a covering of tahash skin. They shall then put the poles in place.	11 Sull'altare d'oro stenderanno un drappo purpureo e lo copriranno con una coperta di pelle conciata e vi porranno le sue stanghe.
12 Taking the utensils of the sanctuary service, they shall wrap them all in violet cloth and cover them with tahash skin. They shall then place them on a litter.	12 Prenderanno tutti gli oggetti del servizio che avevano usato nel santuario, li porranno su un drappo purpureo, li copriranno con una coperta di pelle conciata e li porranno sulla portantina.
13 After cleansing the altar of its ashes, they shall spread a purple cloth over it.	13 Purgheranno poi l'altare dalla cenere e vi stenderanno un drappo scarlatto:
14 On this they shall put all the utensils with which it is served: the fire pans, forks, shovels, basins, and all the utensils of the altar. They shall then spread a covering of tahash skin over this, and put the poles in place.	14 vi porranno tutti gli oggetti che servono al suo servizio, i bracieri, le forcelle, le palette, i catini, tutti gli oggetti dell'altare, vi stenderanno una coperta di pelle conciata e vi porranno le loro stanghe.
15 "Only after Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sacred objects and all their utensils on breaking camp, shall the Kohathites enter to carry them. But they shall not touch the sacred objects; if they do they will die. These, then, are the objects in the meeting tent that the Kohathites shall carry.	15 Dopo che Aronne e i suoi figli avranno terminato di coprire il santuario e tutti gli oggetti del santuario, nel togliere il campo, verranno i figli di Keat per portarli, e non toccheranno le cose sante per non morire. 16 "Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, shall be in charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the established cereal offering, and the anointing oil. 18 "Do not let the group of Kohathite clans perish from the body of the Levites.	18 "Non tagliate via la tribù delle famiglie di Keat dal mezzo dei leviti,
19 That they may live and not die when they approach the most sacred objects, this is what you shall do for them: Aaron and his sons shall go in and assign to each of them his task and what he must carry;	19 ma fate loro così, perché vivano e non muoiano: quando si accosteranno al santo dei santi, entreranno Aronne e i suoi figli e assegneranno ad ognuno il proprio lavoro e incarico.
20 but the Kohathites shall not go in to look upon the sacred objects, even for an instant; if they do, they will die."	20 E non arriveranno a vedere, neppure per un istante, le cose sante, perché morirebbero".
21 The LORD said to Moses,	21 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
22 "Take a total among the Gershonites also, by ancestral houses and clans,	22 "Fa' il conto anche dei figli di Gherson, secondo le loro case paterne, le loro famiglie:
23 of all the men between thirty and fifty years of age; these are to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent.	23 da trent'anni in su fino a cinquanta li recensirai, chiunque può essere schierato nell'esercito, per compiere l'opera nella tenda del convegno.
24 This is the task of the clans of the Gershonites, what they must do and what they must carry:	24 Questo è il compito delle famiglie di Gherson circa l'opera e il trasporto:
25 they shall carry the sheets of the Dwelling, the meeting tent with its covering and the outer wrapping of tahash skin, the curtain at the entrance of the meeting tent,	25 porteranno i tendoni della dimora e la tenda del convegno, la copertura, la coperta di concia che sta sopra e il drappo all'ingresso della tenda del convegno;
26 the hangings of the court, the curtain at the entrance of the court that encloses both the Dwelling and the altar, together with their ropes and all other objects necessary in their use. 29 "Among the Merarites, too, you shall enroll by clans and ancestral houses	29 "Recensirai i figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, le loro case paterne:

31 This is what they shall be responsible for carrying, all the years of their service in the meeting tent: the boards of the Dwelling with its bars, columns and pedestals,	31 Questa è la cura del loro trasporto per tutto il loro lavoro nella tenda del convegno: le assi della dimora, le sue stanghe, le sue colonne e i suoi basamenti;
32 and the columns of the surrounding court with their pedestals, pegs and ropes. 43 of all the men from thirty up to fifty years of age. These were to undertake obligatory tasks in the meeting tent;	43 da trent'anni in su fino a cinquanta, chiunque poteva essere schierato nell'esercito, per il lavoro nella tenda del convegno:

45 Such was the census of the men of the Merarite clans which Moses took, together with Aaron, as the LORD bade him.	45 Questi sono i recensiti delle famiglie dei figli di Merari, recensiti da Mosè ed Aronne, sulla parola del Signore, da parte di Mosè.
46 Therefore, when Moses and Aaron and the Israelites princes had completed the registration among the Levites, by clans and ancestral houses,	46 Tutti i leviti che Mosè, Aronne e i capi d'Israele recensirono, per famiglie e case paterne,
47 of all the men between thirty and fifty years of age who were to undertake tasks of service or transport of the meeting tent,	47 da trent'anni in su fino a cinquanta, chiunque poteva essere schierato per il lavoro nella tenda del convegno:
48 the total number registered was eight thousand five hundred and eighty.	48 i recensiti furono 8.580.
49 According to the LORD'S bidding to Moses, they gave them their individual assignments for service and for transport; so the LORD had commanded Moses.	49 Sulla parola del Signore il loro censimento fu fatto per mezzo di Mosè, ognuno per il suo lavoro e per il suo trasporto. Il loro censimento è quello che il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
