1 Moses then gave the Israelites these instructions, just as the LORD had ordered him.	1 Mosè riferì ai figli d'Israele tutte le cose che il Signore gli aveva comandate,
2 Moses said to the heads of the Israelite tribes, "This is what the LORD has commanded:	2 poi disse ai principi delle tribù dei figli d'Israele: « Ecco quanto il Signore ha comandato:
3 When a man makes a vow to the LORD or binds himself under oath to a pledge of abstinence, he shall not violate his word, but must fulfill exactly the promise he has uttered.	3 Quando uno fa un voto al Signore, o si obbliga con giuramento, non deve mancar alla parola, ma adempire tutto quello che ha promesso.
4 "When a woman, while still a maiden in her father's house, makes a vow to the LORD, or binds herself to a pledge,	4 Quando una donna che è ancora in giovane età e sta nella casa di suo padre avrà fatto un voto e si sarà obbligata con giuramento,
5 if her father learns of her vow or the pledge to which she bound herself and says nothing to her about it, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	5 e il padre, saputo il voto da lei fatto e il giuramento con cui s'è obbligata, non ha detto nulla, essa obbligata al suo voto, se dovrà eseguire tutto ciò che promise o giurò di fare;
6 But if on the day he learns of it her father expresses to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made becomes null and void; and the LORD releases her from it, since her father has expressed to her his disapproval.	6 ma se il padre si e opposto appena l'ha saputo, saranno nulli i suoi voti e i suoi giuramenti, e non sara tenuta a fare quanto ha promesso, perchè il padre s'è opposto.
7 "If she marries while under a vow or under a rash pledge to which she bound herself,	7 Se essa poi ha marito, e, avendo lauto voto di qualche cosa, con una parola, uscita una volta, dalla sua bocca ha impegnata con giuramento l'anima sua,
8 and her husband learns of it, yet says nothing to her that day about it, then the vow or pledge she had made remains valid.	8 se il marito, nel giorno in cui ne viene a conoscenza, non si oppone, essa sarà obbligata al voto e dovrà fare tutto quello che ha promesso.
9 But if on the day he learns of it her husband expresses to her his disapproval, he thereby annuls the vow she had made or the rash pledge to which she had bound herself, and the LORD releases her from it.	9 Ma se il marito, appena ne è informato, si oppone ed annulla le promesse e le parole con cui si era obbligata, il Signore le perdonerà.
10 The vow of a widow or of a divorced woman, or any pledge to which such a woman binds herself, is valid.	10 La vedova e la ripudiata adempiranno tutto quello di cui han fatto voto e
11 "If it is in her husband's house that she makes a vow or binds herself under oath to a pledge,	11 Se la moglie nella casa coniugale si obbliga con voto e con giuramento,
12 and her husband learns of it yet says nothing to express to her his disapproval, then any vow or any pledge she has made remains valid.	12 il marito, venutone a conoscenza, non si oppone alla promessa di lei, essa farà quanto ha promesso;
13 But if on the day he learns of them her husband annuls them, then whatever she has expressly promised in her vow or in her pledge becomes null and void; since her husband has annulled them, the LORD releases her from them.	13 invece, se egli esubito si oppone, essa non sarà tenuta ad eseguir la promessa; siccome il mrito s'è opposto, il Signore le perdnerà.
14 "Any vow or any pledge that she makes under oath to mortify herself, her husband can either allow to remain valid or render null and void.	14 Se ha fatto voto e si è obbligata ad affliggere l'anima sua col digiuno con altre astinenze, deciderà il marito se essa deve fare o no quelle cose;
15 But if her husband, day after day, says nothing at all to her about them, he thereby allows as valid any vow or any pledge she has made; he has allowed them to remain valid, because on the day he learned of them he said nothing to her about them.	15 ma se il marito quando lo viene a sapere sta zitto, e fino al giorno dopo non decide, essa farà tutto quello che ha promesso con voto, perchè egli quando seppe non disse nulla.
16 If, however, he countermands them some time after he first learned of them, he is responsible for her guilt."	16 Ma se marito si oppone dopo che l'ha saputo porterà l'iniquità di lei.
17 These are the statutes which the LORD prescribed through Moses concerning the relationship between a husband and his wife, as well as between a father and his daughter while she is still a maiden in her father's house.	17 Tali son le leggi che il Signore prescrisse a Mosè riguardo al marito e alla moglie, al padre e alla figlia che è ancora ragazza e a quella che resta nella casa paterna ».
