Isaiah 66

1 Thus says the LORD: The heavens are my throne, the earth is my footstool. What kind of house can you build for me; what is to be my resting place?	1 כה אמר יהוה השמים כסאי והארץ הדם רגלי אי זה בית אשר תבנו לי ואי זה מקום מנוחתי
2 My hand made all these things when all of them came to be, says the LORD. This is the one whom I approve: the lowly and afflicted man who trembles at my word.	2 ואת כל אלה ידי עשתה ויהיו כל אלה נאם יהוה ואל זה אביט אל עני ונכה רוח וחרד על דברי
3 Merely slaughtering an ox is like slaying a man; sacrificing a lamb, like breaking a dog's neck; Bringing a cereal offering, like offering swine's blood; burning incense, like paying homage to an idol. Since these have chosen their own ways and taken pleasure in their own abominations,	3 שוחט השור מכה איש זובח השה ערף כלב מעלה מנחה דם חזיר מזכיר לבנה מברך און גם המה בחרו בדרכיהם ובשקוציהם נפשם חפצה
4 I in turn will choose ruthless treatment for them and bring upon them what they fear. Because, when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened; Because they did what was evil in my sight, and chose what gave me displeasure,	4 גם אני אבחר בתעלליהם ומגורתם אביא להם יען קראתי ואין עונה דברתי ולא שמעו ויעשו הרע בעיני ובאשר לא חפצתי בחרו
5 Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word: Your brethren who, because of my name, hate and reject you, say, "Let the LORD show his glory that we may see your joy"; but they shall be put to shame.	5 שמעו דבר יהוה החרדים אל דברו אמרו אחיכם שנאיכם מנדיכם למען שמי יכבד יהוה ונראה בשמחתכם והם יבשו
6 A sound of roaring from the city, a sound from the temple, The sound of the LORD repaying his enemies their deserts!	6 קול שאון מעיר קול מהיכל קול יהוה משלם גמול לאיביו
7 Before she comes to labor, she gives birth; Before the pains come upon her, she safely delivers a male child.	7 בטרם תחיל ילדה בטרם יבוא חבל לה והמליטה זכר
8 Who ever heard of such a thing, or saw the like? Can a country be brought forth in one day, or a nation be born in a single moment? Yet Zion is scarcely in labor when she gives birth to her children.	8 מי שמע כזאת מי ראה כאלה היוחל ארץ ביום אחד אם יולד גוי פעם אחת כי חלה גם ילדה ציון את בניה
9 Shall I bring a mother to the point of birth, and yet not let her child be born? says the LORD; Or shall I who allow her to conceive, yet close her womb? says your God.	9 האני אשביר ולא אוליד יאמר יהוה אם אני המוליד ועצרתי אמר אלהיך
10 Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad because of her, all you who love her; Exult, exult with her, all you who were mourning over her!	10 שמחו את ירושלם וגילו בה כל אהביה שישו אתה משוש כל המתאבלים עליה
11 Oh, that you may suck fully of the milk of her comfort, That you may nurse with delight at her abundant breasts!	11 למען תינקו ושבעתם משד תנחמיה למען תמצו והתענגתם מזיז כבודה
12 For thus says the LORD: Lo, I will spread prosperity over her like a river, and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing torrent. As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms, and fondled in her lap;	12 כי כה אמר יהוה הנני נטה אליה כנהר שלום וכנחל שוטף כבוד גוים וינקתם על צד תנשאו ועל ברכים תשעשעו
13 As a mother comforts her son, so will I comfort you; in Jerusalem you shall find your comfort.	13 כאיש אשר אמו תנחמנו כן אנכי אנחמכם ובירושלם תנחמו
14 When you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bodies flourish like the grass; The LORD'S power shall be known to his servants, but to his enemies, his wrath.	14 וראיתם ושש לבכם ועצמותיכם כדשא תפרחנה ונודעה יד יהוה את עבדיו וזעם את איביו
15 Lo, the LORD shall come in fire, his chariots like the whirlwind, To wreak his wrath with burning heat and his punishment with fiery flames.	15 כי הנה יהוה באש יבוא וכסופה מרכבתיו להשיב בחמה אפו וגערתו בלהבי אש
16 For the LORD shall judge all mankind by fire and sword. and many shall be slain by the LORD.	16 כי באש יהוה נשפט ובחרבו את כל בשר ורבו חללי יהוה
17 They who sanctify and purify themselves to go to the groves, as followers of one who stands within, they who eat swine's flesh, loathsome things and mice, shall all perish with their deeds and their thoughts, says the LORD.	17 המתקדשים והמטהרים אל הגנות אחר אחד בתוך אכלי בשר החזיר והשקץ והעכבר יחדו יספו נאם יהוה
18 I come to gather nations of every language; they shall come and see my glory.	18 ואנכי מעשיהם ומחשבתיהם באה לקבץ את כל הגוים והלשנות ובאו וראו את כבודי
19 I will set a sign among them; from them I will send fugitives to the nations: to Tarshish, Put and Lud, Mosoch, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have never heard of my fame, or seen my glory; and they shall proclaim my glory among the nations.	19 ושמתי בהם אות ושלחתי מהם פליטים אל הגוים תרשיש פול ולוד משכי קשת תבל ויון האיים הרחקים אשר לא שמעו את שמעי ולא ראו את כבודי והגידו את כבודי בגוים
20 They shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as an offering to the LORD, on horses and in chariots, in carts, upon mules and dromedaries, to Jerusalem, my holy mountain, says the LORD, just as the Israelites bring their offering to the house of the LORD in clean vessels.	20 והביאו את כל אחיכם מכל הגוים מנחה ליהוה בסוסים וברכב ובצבים ובפרדים ובכרכרות על הר קדשי ירושלם אמר יהוה כאשר יביאו בני ישראל את המנחה בכלי טהור בית יהוה
21 Some of these I will take as priests and Levites, says the LORD.	21 וגם מהם אקח לכהנים ללוים אמר יהוה
22 As the new heavens and the new earth which I will make Shall endure before me, says the LORD, so shall your race and your name endure.	22 כי כאשר השמים החדשים והארץ החדשה אשר אני עשה עמדים לפני נאם יהוה כן יעמד זרעכם ושמכם
23 From one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, All mankind shall come to worship before me, says the LORD.	23 והיה מדי חדש בחדשו ומדי שבת בשבתו יבוא כל בשר להשתחות לפני אמר יהוה
24 They shall go out and see the corpses of the men who rebelled against me; Their worm shall not die, nor their fire be extinguished; and they shall be abhorrent to all mankind.	24 ויצאו וראו בפגרי האנשים הפשעים בי כי תולעתם לא תמות ואשם לא תכבה והיו דראון לכל בשר
